IMO, the real problem is that the PC doesn't seem to remember that door opens both ways. We push the door (into the room with the bodies) on our way in, so why not pull it toward us on our way out? The barricade would have been as useful as Big Lebowski's and Old Man Ninja wouldn't have had any time to run or hide if we just opened the door toward the PC vs taking the time break it down. Gameplay mechanics, am I right?

I thought Leon's campaign was pretty good, had way more of an RE feel than the others. I' didn't like the way they went with all these crazy mutants and shit from 4 onwards.

The 2nd time. Once I knew it was going to happen I knew to sprint as fast as possible. The first time I got stuck in the corner where the key is and mauled to death, as I think most people probably would as it's pretty damn unfair... haha. Then the third time I got hit on purpose but not killed so I could get the infected ending :P

We're going to have to wait until the final version of the game, but the way the Bakers can seemingly shrug off impossible amounts of punishment (surviving a car explosion and not even reacting to being on fire, being shot in the heart and getting up a few moments), regeneration ability, and superhuman strength is clearly viral in nature. Only Lisa Trevor has taken that much punishment without becoming completely inhuman in nature (see: William Birkin's gradually inhuman transformations after being infected with the G-virus). Either the Baker family were experimented on with a variant with the progenitor virus by Umbrella and they went AWOL, or they have a new virus based on the progenitor or t-virus, most likely. Of course, this is just speculation at this point. But from the picture we can already say as a fact that the Baker family has some kind of history with Umbrella: enough that someone (probably Jack as the patriarch of the family) was concerned they were spying on them. And of course, the Molders can mutate you in the demo. And RE is all about mutations, and it all began with those bastards at Umbrella.
True ending is when you find ALL clues an go throw the up stairs an finish to the bloody door an than go to the windows...but it will take a bit of time...

No, survival horror was an extension of the puzzle genre - a la the old Silent Hill, RE, System Shock 2 etc. They were games that gave you plenty of guns but scarce ammo, where resource and inventory management was the key to surviving. Survival horror is dead, and has been since around 2004. Amnesia, Outlast, Alien aren't survival horror, they're a separate genre altogether - psychological horror if you will.

I gave up on the demo. I got the handgun and all the ammo and couldn't kill the monster. Getting killed in 3 hits was too frustrating and I quit.
