Bombproof Industrial shelf | DIY - Навчання та стиль
That's a beast! You're the king of industrial furniture on youtube.
Hah, thanks Caleb!
Excellent video as usual. Glad to see you included your little "helpers" in the project. They will learn some responsibility and pride in helping out. 5:24
Dude... You're a genius. You just taught me at least 3 game changing techniques. Sanding dowels with a drill, using a speed square with a circular saw, and of course the method of making floating shelves without expensive hardware. Thank you! Awesome work! 3:38
I've had the thread rod for 6 years now. Finally getting around to making the shelves. Man I'm lazy! Took me forever to find your video again. I couldn't remember how you were spinning the nuts. Thank goodness I found you again.
Really great build! I especially like the fact that they're height-adjustable, without having to be disassembled. Good looking finished product.
I love your design and workmanship...I am watching from Australia...Thanks for sharing your knowledge, very much appreciated...I can see lots of dedicated hard work with blood, sweat and tears in your learning of your craft...Hats off to you...
I appreciate your use of templates, the slow-mo audio, and the oxford comma.
Hah, thanks!
This is a great build! I just saw this today, pretty much immediately after finishing my own. I looked around so much, and waited for something to copy. Wound up using tread mill steel and 2x10s. Not bomb proof at all, but is holding up against the barrage of gravity so far. My 5 yo says it's a tiny bit wobbly, I can with it, hopefully he can live through it.
You put together some of the best industrial furniture on UA-cam, in my opinion. So glad you share it.
Thank you so much, this makes me happy!
Nice build Zach.. Liked the knife as well. Just returned from visiting my son who just moved to Florida, You are right it's to dang hot there. I was glad to get back to the mountains in Utah.
Thanks Gary!
We're trying really hard to get out of here in the next year or so--I miss the mountains and cold weather.
This is exactly what I was looking for. You cannot imagine the number of shelves I've lost through airstrikes
If only Australia would stop interfering in global affairs...
Hahaha! Another great video mate
Zack, your stuff just keeps getting better and better! That red painted, stained, distressed finish on the steel just kicks ass! The design has really nice proportions. The wood thickness to the steel and the beefiness of the all-thread is just right. Gorgeous!
Thank you!
Did you see the industrial desk build? It's in the same style, but a little more elaborate of a build.
Yes! You got that look going. People are gonna start saying, "Hey that's got kinda' a ZH style"! Remember... Copycats are the best type of flattery. :)
Awesome job that's isn't going anywhere. The Waterlox you used and the way you applied it made that wood come alive. And ah Zac the shop is looking good.
Thanks Thom!
This is the most awesome shelf I have ever seen. Kudos bud.
Thank you!
Zach, you are the best at combining metal and wood! That finish looks great! That cool that the same client has multiple pieces. Its great art work.
Thank you Kyle!
Great build man. The trick with the air-gun for threading was a stroke of genius!
Thanks! I just wish I'd have thought of it a bit earlier, I think that was the last shelf :(
Awesome build! I took a break in the shop just to check this out. That buff in stain looks great.
Thanks Jimmi, that makes me happy to hear :)
thats a badass shelf!
the only thing missing is a bomb to test it
great job dude!
Don't usually like songs on videos, but man, your video was absolutely awesome... great music and **great filming** and an amaaaazing shelf.
Good idea with the air gun! Sometimes I use a polishing disc on the powerdrill to rotate nuts, works quick too. I think you're onto something with that used-I-Beam look.
Thank you! :)
Love the little pyramid stand-offs.
I love projects where I can combine wood working and welding with my everlast. Those shelves definitely look bomb proof.
Thanks!
really awesome. never would have thought of using the car waxer/buffer to spread the stain. the whole thing came out awesome.
Thank you!
Zach I may have said this before, but your finishes are always so damn boss. Awesome shelves!
Thank you!
I have never heard of buff in tung oils. That finish turned out spectacular! Nice job!
Thank you!
Amazing Video as always Zach! You're crushing it with the industrial furniture. 💪💪💪💪
Thank you!
Fantastic! It came together so well! Makes me want to do industrial pieces!
Thanks, they are a lot of fun, I love working with mixed media so it's one of my favorite styles.
That's awesome! I've been mulling a similar design around in my head for a while now. Great to see something like it actually built!
You did an amazing job!
Thank you!
My pleasure! Again, great work! I hope to have your skills some day. Subscribed.
Hi Zac, I love your productions and musical background. Greeting from France.

Thank you!
You do really beautiful, highly functional pieces. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Now that is a mucho mundo HD shelf! You could store some heavy reading on that. Nice concept and execution. I need one like that to store my wasted years on.
Hah, thanks JB!
Damn! Another great build! The red finish on this and the desk has to be one of the best looking finishes I've seen on... Well, anything.
Thanks man! I'm still editing the video, trying to balance that with preparing my fabtech build. If all goes as planned I'll have it out by the first of November.
ZH Fabrications sounds good. That build is gonna kick ass.
Another impressive build. Thank you for the entertainment and inspiration.
Thank you!
Zach, That is a gorgeous piece!
Thanks Christopher!
I always love seeing how you put designs together. I have a passion for shelving as well, so I really like this build. BTW not that I've tried it, but you might be able to get those nuts on faster with a rubber wheel (skateboard wheel?) attached to a cordless drill, lots of contact and speed, no damage.
Thanks P.J. !
Not sure how I found your video but...I must say, fantastic work!
You have gained a new sub.
Great! Thank you!
Awesome build Zack, looks great! Love the music too
Hey Jacob! Thank you!

Looks awesome, nice work dude! I love the giant threaded rod and nuts to hold the shelves.
Thanks Jeff!
I like what I just saw. Thanks sir it's really entertaining, and it gave me a lot of ideas. Cheers from France
Thank you!
Post Future Industrial furniture, looks something you would see in a history movie about factories or manufacturing plants but, with a futuristic design. This a winner, if you start making them just realize that shipping will be a bitch. BTW thanks for indirect discovery of FMA. Signed up, got some notes, dropped a few coins. Keep broadcasting!!
Thank you! That's is pretty much what I've been going for aesthetically, I love looking at pictures of old abandoned factories.
This is amazing...I love the design! Nice work!
Thanks!
Greetings from Houston! Hope to live like you in starting this year!
Best wished!
Love this. Wish I could weld. That's one badass shelf

+Peter Thanks Peter!
Well, now I know what shelves I want to build for the man cave. I have about 500 records to store, and this will definitely do it.
The best part is, It can be taken apart to move if I ever decide to sell my house.
Bombproof indeed!! Nice build!
Thanks Andrew!
A very nice bookcase. Good job
Thank you!
That's a beast of a shelf. Awesome!!
Thank you!
Beautiful work!
Thanks Tom!
I'd love that stuff inside my studio if I could afford it. haha. Gorgeous.
Thanks Michael!
Nice work! Came out awesome!
Thank you!
Dude, I love your stuff. Makes the mechanic in me want too make furniture
Thanks. And I say go for it man, I spent years as a mechanic :)
That is a beautiful piece of furniture.
Thank you!
Very sexy looking shelf. Probably weighs way more than a regular shelf so I can't really build this in the house I'm renting, moving it would be a pain. If I was a home owner and I knew I wasn't moving every year or two, this would be a great project lol. It's seriously an incredibly looking shelf.
A good idea. I've never thought it in the way.
Dude. That looks so cool. Love it.
Thank you!
Très eau travail, j'adore le principe. Merci pour cette vidéo.
