Did you make it?
I did, thank you 🙏
Duh.
Sorry you did not make it ✈️
Yesssss excelent recap, as usual!
I've made it, I've gone through the whole recap
Just want to shoutout Cristian. He’s such a good, likeable host. He does a great job steering the conversation and eliciting further explanation from fabi for topics that might require it. Fabi is obviously amazing and deserves all the love, but I just wanted to acknowledge how much Cristian adds to the content 🙂
Can't agree more! I loved Fabi from long time ago, but with these podcosts, I realized how likeable and understanding Cristian is.
I love their pair up!
I just love Fabis inside view, he is assessing every game situation so precisely and well spoken
Its perfect commentary. I'm warming to Giri as a commentator but for the game itself this is next level. The evaluation bar probably doesnt help, showing “blunders” based on finding computer moves.
I can easily listen to Fabi for hours, he is so precise and articulate and he also asks himself the best questions all the time. Same level as Vishi.
Fabi about any opening line: "I've played this quite a bit"
„Um, I actually know 30 computer moves in this line.“
"In fact i solved chess while preparing this line back in my world cup match "
This podcast is so undervalued, what a duo. 😍😍
Hey, read the comments - this podcast is not undervalued. Just not enough people have heard about it, so hit the like button and share it with your friends tomorrow when they're on again!
I think Cristian really wanted to go to the bathroom for like the last 20 minutes of this video. 🤣
Will you guys still do recaps when Fabi is doing commentary?
I've made it. Gone through the whole recap. In my opinion, your recaps have been the most thorough. Have fun commentating on the match, Fabi!
Waiting for Fabi's commentary tomorrow 🥰
Fabi as commentator is what I'm waiting since game 1.
I hate the fact that I’m constantly feeling sad for Ding. This WC has not been fun at all for me as a Ding fan. Life is hard😂
"In this position, Ding Liren sacrificed...THE WIN!!"
-Gotham Chess, probably
Sameeeeee
Its not so much fun for us Ian fans, as it happens. In case that makes it any easier!
The previous loss was just heartbreaking and the way he let the advantage slip today... He is not making it easy for us as his fans. Hopefully he gets it together because he has been better in fee previous games
Ding should have won this game. He really gave this one away.
Thanks for the excellent work, the possibility of listening to this level of analysis is priceless. In addition to the ability that comes from years of hard work, your generosity and unpretentious simplicity is touching. Thanks!
I have made it :) In fact I have made it through every single recap of all rounds :) It's such a treat to listen to Fabiano's analysis. Thank you for making this happen!
These are the best recaps of the world championship! I can get an in-depth review of each game and really understand what the players were thinking without watching the full 5+ hour live games in the middle of the night.
This podcast is out of this world!!
Your ability to give access to the state of the art GM analysis for the none profesional and none genius people are second to none.
I don't understand how GM's have the ability to play in a level that looks like it is being taken from the Mateix movie, but I do understand after seeing your podcasts how insane, interesting, and complex those games are, when fraction of a variant in the long run may change everything (e.g. Ra2).
🙏🙏
Fabi’s comments re: the movie Anaconda had the live commentary rolling.
Fantastic analysis! Keep up the good work guys!!
This stuff is the definition of quality chess content. Keep up the great work!
Best thing about today was to know Fabiano's favorite song is anaconda by nicky minaj😂😂
He just believed him. It's a bit miserable
I'm here to throw this video a like, but I can't bear to relive this game.
I love the depth you guys go into every on every move. Could be longer if you ask me. I would say 2 hours is the cut off limit. Funny thing is you know Fabiano wants to talk even longer on every line too.
Great job guys. Love the breakdowns on the match.
Open fight. Both boxers refuse to play in defense and prefer punching each other hard. After 3-4 such rounds, next rounds will proliferate with inaccuracies and empty swings compared with the defensive match, but will be more entertaining to watch.
I've done it! This is easily the best commentary of this match. I really enjoy your podcast. I'm a big fan of Ben Finegold's videos, but since I've discovered your podcast I can't stop watching it. You guys rock and Fabiano's analysis is fantastic, so clear and easy to follow. Keep it up!
So deep and profound analysis from Fabi, it was like I was listening to the analysis by Vlad Kramnik.
Superb vision. 💯
Of course we made it. A complicated game needed this level of analysis. Well done guy’s.
Great analysis guys. I have a feeling that it was to Ding's benefit NOT to realize (after the fact in the game) that he had two clear wins (with Rd3, or QxR) Otherwise he may have ended up losing the game
Streamers who don't shout madly and overact? And real analysis. What a pleasure.
(I understand that Rozman & Nakamura make it to suit better for phone speakers, that often are not any hifi-class)
I made it.. great yes, I did enjoy with Fabi's comments. Way much better than other commentaries.. This is the bast experience from Fabiano that really makes the difference in his commentaries! Thank you both!
It's Grischuk again who is an opening theory innovator.
This is great, can't wait to see Fabi commentating today, although it'll be very exhausting having to commentate and do the recap afterwards! LET'S GO FABI
Amazing duo. I am looking forward to every match recap and see them till the end.
Amazing analysis as usual, guys! As a Candidate Master, I find these recaps the most insightful on UA-cam. I would love to get Fabi on my podcast (Nepo and Karpov have already been my guests BTW), where better to reach out to you? I have a UA-cam channel with 230,000 subscribers
Elementary, my dear Ding.
Your recaps are my morning watch in Thailand. I have been watching live as the games starts 4 PM my time.
In the "Midnight run " movie there is a line of de Niro "-Those were not the car keys. Always check the evidence Marvin!" I think Ding had to "check the evidence " and take the rook. Nice analysis by the way.
I made it guys… and I really enjoy the comment and deep analysis from both of you guys but specially from Favi. Thanks
Every time I listen to Fabi talk about chess I realise why I am not the third highest-rated chess player of all time.
I made it, thanks a lot fabi and cristian. Looking forward to the commentating tomorrow fabi.
I think, yes chess has a natural tendency to find balance. But mostly it's the endings we choose. For example, if players avoided trading a set of Rooks and went into double Rook endings, far less draws. But we don't approach Rook exchanges the way we do Queen exchanges, trading down the Rook is almost automatic.
finally!!!
I made it, congratulations for the recap, there are so many details that at first glance you'd just skip or not notice. Keep going with these videos guys 👊
I made it through the whole recap - these recaps are a gift!!
Thank you, guys, your analysis is the best…heads and shoulders above anyone else’s
Fabi once again proves he is on another planet (where the chess gods live)
yes. YES!!
awesome recaps!
Fantastic stuff, love your recaps, folks
Made it until the end, what a interesting game and it is great to hear Fabi analyze it. I will be waiting for the leaks video, it sounds really interesting.
At 50:22 the line Christian shows is different from the one Fabi is talking about.
Ive made it. Again great analysus. The hest available recap of wc ganes ever. Great job Fabi.😉
Awesome guys! Keep on the great work!
Thank you for the analysis. Great stuff.
🎶Looks like we made it 🎶
I made it! Amazing recap!
Just managed to reach the end. Amazing amazing work, thank you.
Great analysis.
50:21 bro the winning variation for white there is Qxa1 not Qxh3
Nepo and Ding were playing hot potato with who would take the point. Neither wanted it
Cristian: how were the rum and cigar?
tomorrow will definitely be a good day since fabi will commentate
I made it 😊 Thanks for the fantastic recaps!
I've made it! Great recap as always
When is Fabi gonna do a cover of Anaconda tho
Made it ! amazing
I made it! great content, I would like you to cover also Nepo state, in my opinion, of coures ehe made msitakes but they where much harder to spot tahn Ding`s and Qh4 was a half bluff since the beginning since he say that Qf8 was a bad position,
Very good analysis!
But whoever wins this match, I can't reconcile with the idea that the winner will be the world chess champion. In my opinion a world chess champion should be clearly better than the rest of the pack, which should manifest itself in consistent strong play, like Magnus Carlsen has demonstrated for many years. The strongest player shouldn't lose that often, that's how I want to respect a world chess champion. However, in this match it feels like you can throw a dice to determine the "world chess champion". So, although the match is exciting to watch, can we speak of a deserved winner at the end of the day? Not so sure about that.
The deserved winner is the one who plays better in this match, not someone who abdicated the title.
Anish said it well "As a GM, it is your duty to calculate to the end , instead of believing your opponent" - what Ding did after Nepo's Qh4 bluff.
Ding didn't do it, missed 3 chances to win hands down. Probably there's no player above 2750 who isn't secretly super-frustrated : "I can play better than these clowns, why am I not there? ". Magnus might not be happy either "Ding outplayed Nepo in the London, French, English, Nimzo - why did I play all these drawish Catalans, Petroffs and Marshalls" ?
Enjoyed it you asked? I loved it!! ♥♥♥
Excellent!!
i made it tho the whole video.... Fabi in the 2018 world chess championship i picked you to win by the way!!!
Yes, I made it :)
goated recaps
Made it!!
Waiting for Fabi's commentary tomorrow
I have made it love recaps
Made it🎉
i have made it!
I’ve made it, love these long recaps. Keep it up guys 📈
Is it possible that Ding lacks physical stamina? In both games 7 and 8 he played well and was winning after around 30 moves and 3 1/2 hours, but then started making serious mistakes.
That is also very likely.
Nepo has less stamina, too. Ding probably lack in time playing.
made it!
I made it!
Thank you for the good evening from Europe!
I've made it and I love it
What was the drama??
The leaked prep of Dings openings on lichess
@@JohnS-il1dr not really "leaked", but supposedly sloppily revealed by Ding and Rapport
Absolutely outstanding content. Thank you!
But … while I understand you have to make a living, the very large number of advertisements seriously detract from the viewing experience! Viewers would be so grateful if there were simply fewer interruptions. Please!
I’ve made it
made it
good recap
I've made it to that point 😅
I made it. I watched every single second of this beautiful video. 👍
I made it! (comment for engagement)
All day
I did!
Ive made it xd
maaaaade in china
The camera-quality and also the bandwidth is significantly worse on Fabi's site. Christian's picture and his bandwidth is often much better. Can you guys work on this? Thanks.
I hope Magnus wins this whole thing.
He should try to join now and play the winner
Technically Fabi’s analysis is excellent . However, I feel that he is a bit of an “armchair general”. Easy to criticize from the safe commentator position after an engine analysis. In sharp situations he also makes bad decisions, see the last two candidates. Wish he’d cut the players a bit more slack.
That's not his job. I appreciate him telling it as he sees it. So would the players for sure. You can't get this high if you can't take it.
