Any areas with slow moving water and deep pools will hold salmon. Some other commenters kept mentioning "Rays" for ordering eggs. Otherwise call Big J's in Orting. They always used to cure their own eggs and sell them fresh from a fridge!
Awesome. I have a question, I bought some store cured eggs and went out fishing with them used a little kept the jar on ice, and have like 3/4 of it left. I put them back in the fridge. Do you think they are still fishable? After a week of refridgeration because they should last up to 3 weeks. And do you think cured shrimp will work good too?
I have no experience with shrimp, but as for the eggs - you're all set. Right before I did that video, I was fishing eggs from last September that have just been sitting in the fridge all year. One jar had a little mold in it. Still catches fish 🤣 Not saying let your eggs mold, but it says a lot about the egg bite.

Dude your channel is great. I’m planning to head out to the green this week for the first time and this was awesome to watch. Do you prefer bobber fishing over drifting or jigging? Pros and cons to either? I’m a newb to the salmon game. Cheers man! Fish on
Thank you Ryan! Here's my 2c on the options, and why I prefer bobber and eggs. Drift fishing is mostly snagging. sometimes fish DO bite corky and yarn, so I'm not saying everyone drift fishing is a snagger. But 98% of hookups on drift fishing rigs are involuntary, which just makes the technique a little less sexy in my opinion. Jigging is something I haven't experimented with yet. You will get more voluntary bites, but at the spots I fish, most fish caught on jigs are still "flossed" or snagged. Problem is people will say "it took the jig" but it's hard to really know whether it did or not. I have definitely seen them chase jigs though, so I know it happens. Again, not saying jiggers are snaggers. Lastly, bobber and eggs. 99% true bites. That's why I like it so much. When you see that bobber go down, you will know that a fish wanted it. So much more satisfying - and it blows people's minds seeing you reeling them on bobber and eggs, when they think their flossing setup is going to be more productive..... 🎣 Each technique has it's perks, so I generally bring all three to the river. But always start with bobber and eggs. I'll make a video comparing the three at one point. Guess that whas more like 8c 🤣
NW Fishing Secrets man thanks for the detailed reply! The logic makes sense. And that definitely resonates with me from an ethical perspective. It also seems the bobber approach is probably easier to jump into for a beginner having that visual cue. Last question for someone who doesn’t have the option yet to cure up some eggs, do you have any favorite local companies that produce or shops that sell good eggs? Give em a shoutout and I’ll give them some business! Thanks again man. Your content is QUALITY and as a fellow western wa angler I’m super stoked to see more. 🤙🏻
Thank you Ryan, I really enjoy making the videos, and am glad to help out fellow fishermen and fisherladies! For eggs, I would call Big J's in Orting. See if they are currently selling cured eggs. I believe they cure them there, and store them fresh in a fridge. Awesome store in general. Probably the best small local shop in terms of fishing gear, and there is good fishing in the area as well. Glad to see you're into the bobber method! Be patient with it, and expect a learning curve. I've had a lot of people write and thank me for getting them their first bobber and eggs salmon. But I've also had a lot of people frustrated, not catching fish. 90% of the problem is that they aren't patient enough. It is fishing after all. For every 20 minute video with epic fishing, I spend hours or sometimes days out fishing. Just enjoy the entire experience, and see the fish as a bonus. Excited to show more.... Fish on! 🎣

Thank you Pavel!! I wish you could too! 🤣I think the best thing people can do is share the channel with their friends! It's actually growing REALLY fast. we're about to blow past 1000 subscribers. Either tomorrow or Friday! Thank you so much for all your support man!
@@NWFishingSecrets I recommend it to everyone... so I wish you best luck.
P.S. I ended up going flounder fishing on Monday like planned, got like 15 flounders and my limit for crabs. Was last day of crabbing season. Thanks for sharing some flounder spots!👍
Pavel Dimov haha thank you!!!! And damn! What an awesome limit! How are you cooking up the flounder? So many fun recipes with those little rascals
I have to say your background music is sweet.

I'm right there with you! Going to be amazing.
NW Fishing Secrets yes sir can’t Waite
Fish on! 🎣
NW Fishing Secrets hey man just wanted to follow up! Went out today and landed a nice jack within 20 minutes thanks to your tips!! 👌🏻 super solid info. Can’t wait to get back out tomorrow!
Thank you so much for the follow up! Love hearing this. Congratulations on that fish, you'll be a bobber hero in no time 😆 Bobber down baby! 🎣
That was awesome!! Congrats!! Sooo jealous
Why jealous??? 🤣 just catch one!
Subed as soon as i seen the bait caster ;)
Haha, I just switched to it a few weeks ago! So you found me at the right time! 😂 🎣 Glad you're enjoying the videos! (and baitcaster)
@@NWFishingSecrets will have to learn mine better I'm so use to fishing for bass with them I have to figure out how to toss my setups with out nesting my real. And we're I fish it's usually a tight spot and I'm not that great with it lol
Show us how you cure your roe for fishing. Like the video
Doing a full 101 on this fishing next week for you guys! Including setup, curing, and catch!
Would you want to go with me to the cascade this year? I could definitely get you on some silvers up there man!
Good stuff, need to get out there
Yes you do! Let’s goooo!
I love your channel, Leif. It's one of my favorites. But I never see a notification bell for on any of your videos, and I haven't seen any recent ones, or been notified since subscribing about a month ago. Are you not making new content anymore? Or am I just missing out for some reason?
What’s your favorite set up for Bobber doggin, like what size rod and pound test are you using? Rad videos by the way!
Full bobber & eggs setup, curing, and fishing video just uploaded!!! Even have amazon links to everything I use. Enjoy! Fish Onnn!!! 🎣
What’s the links?
nice
Nice catch! Fished down there a number of times. Hooking Chinook on eggs is awesome! Caught one about that size last season a little further up on a spinner. Be careful when landing those Kings in a net by yourself. So easy to high stick one and break a rod. Ask me how I know :) Good luck this season and maybe see ya out there.
Thanks! Great spot for Salmon, and definitely can't wait to get out there again soon! Maybe I'll try a spinner!
Mind sharing the name of the river?

Absolutely! Check out all my other ones if you haven't already seen them, but I will be posting more Catch & Cooks again soon!!! 🎣🍴
I noticed the quality right away man! Great vid and awesome fish! I have all 4K cameras and drones if you ever want to do a video! I’m up in Bonney lake! I need to learn the river fishing game so maybe we can trade. I’ll film you and you can show me the ropes?
Thank you Randy! At first the video showed in 360p which was KILLING ME! But it's all good now 😎And that would be a blast! Are you open on weekdays? PM me on instagram and let's talk!
LOVE THIS
ME TOO!!! 🤣 Thank you Stephan! 🎣

Yes u are
Yes you'll catch a chinook!
You Da Man!!! 😂
Ive watch that video a couple of times. super awesome
Amazing video man i subscribed mind telling me what spot is that or something close to fish in green river never been there
Thank you for subscribing Alfredo! How did you find the channel? Try fishing by the Tukwila community center! Lots of different areas/types of water to fish there. Something for every style 😊 And make sure you go during low tide. During high tide, the water pushes up the river and it flows backwards lol. Hard to catch anything then.
@@NWFishingSecrets ah low tide is there an app where i can check? Been trying with eggs which is my favorite type of fishing for salmon and been getting skunk but been doing good drfiting yarn and jigging i need a place for eggs :) plz not asking for much haha
