I'm a fan of the cheese on the fish. You gotta try my steelhead sandwich recipe. Salt, pepper and lemon for the steelhead, toasted buttery sourdough baguette and gorgonzola cheese. Itll blow your mind!

Bro you gotta try incorporating some eggplant slices into one of your catch and cooks sometime. I tried them for my first time and they are quite delicious. I'm assuming you will probably go with a frying method for them. I don't know. It's up to you. They're good man!

I'm trying to get into Salmon fishing, my only experience is lake fishing for trout, bluegill, bass, etc. I use primarily bottom fishing and bobber fishing. Where should I start to get into salmon?
I would look into bobber fishing for Salmon with eggs in the rivers, maybe trolling in the Sound if you have access to a boat? For rivers, just check out the ones near you that the WDFW regs say have salmon runs, and start scouting for fishy looking spots. You will see salmon "rolling" at the surface when they come in. Some even jump. Look for fast water flowing into deeper pools, and that is where to bobber fish. Can't wait for that season!!

So fishing reopens in WA on May 5th. We live in Bremerton, moved here last summer, and haven't ever fished here. My son has never fished saltwater. What tips would you give us?
As of now, it looks like it will be open! You will love fishing the Sound. To start off, definitely target Flounder! Those little buggers will eat anything from strips of squid, to leftover BBQ and are plentiful enough out there to come home with some fish! Try anywhere with sandy bottom, in at least 25feet, ideally between 40-80' deep. Often this will require some kind of boat to get out to. Once you've mastered flounder, you will always have something to catch on the days you learn to fish for harder to catch species like Salmon, Steelhead, Lincod, Cabezon, etc.... Hope this helps!
