Halloween + A Nightmare on Elm Street SECRET Filming Location - Horror's Hallowed Grounds
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 сер 2021
- In this Special Horror's Hallowed Grounds mini-episode, I take a look at how several years ago I was the first person to discover that before the Nancy Thompson's famous house from A Nightmare on Elm Street was haunted by Freddy Krueger, it was first stalked by Michael Myers after it's previous resident, one Laurie Strode. This discovery was made because of a simple rocking horse.

This has got to be ONE OF THE COOLEST horror videos I have ever watched! Been a fan for so long and watched those films a ton of times (especially Halloween) and never would've guessed that. Great job and keep that content coming.
It’s always a special day when you get a new entry in the Horror’s Hallowed Grounds series. 😎
Bro we DEMAND to know when will we get a Nightmare of Elm Street part 2 filming location??
Yessssss!
Please!
He says it was Laurie Strode’s house 5-6 years before, but those TV scenes were shot in 1981, 3 years before ANOES.
Thank you! I was about to say!
@@axlesparks I heard that also - these and a few scenes of Loomis at the institution were filler material filmed during the shoot for part 2 and added to part one for the TV version. Needed to get the run time back up after adult material was edited out.😀
I can’t believe in the 30 years I’ve been watching these, that I never picked up on this.
HHG is seriously one of the things I look most forward to on YT. You have a dream job, Sean, and no one brings us better content when it comes to this type of nostalgia 🙌
Sean is the best. Everytime a new video from his channel appears is a good day. Thank you for all the videos, podcasts, guests at cons, and much more!
This is nuts...I just watched the TV version of Hallowen for the very first time two nights ago....can't believe it's the same house!!
Nice detective work on this one Sean. Always love more HHG episodes!
This is huge!!!!!. I always thought it was the actual interior of the Elm St. house used in the original 2 films. To see pictures of the real inside of that iconic house is mind blowing!!. Thanks for doing this Sean.🇦🇺
We can always rely on Sean for the inside scoop on good Halloween 🎃 stories 🙂👍🇬🇧
Incredible! I can't believe no one has ever voiced it in all the years.
Amazing find. Kudos on your fine research Sean. I would've never noticed. It just adds more fun to these 2 iconic franchises. Thanks 4 posting.
Brilliant stuff from Sean and Horror's Hallowed Grounds. Expertly researched, as you'd expect. Your vids are top-notch.
That's so cool sean, I've seen Halloween and nmoes countless times and I never noticed that. Brillaint
You see… this right here is why I love the horror community. You think you know all there is to know about your favorite slasher/horror movie and then BAM!!! along comes this video. Great find Mr. Sean Clark!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Who would’ve thought! Thanks for this great video! I can’t believe this hasn’t been in any behind the scenes documentaries.
I never get tired of Sean's Horror's Hallowed Grounds. I bet I've seen his H2 HHG's 100 times.
Another awesome video Sean, I get so much nostalgia from them! Thank you!
Great video! Thank you, Sean!
Sean, I hope you realize every damn day you have the best job in the world.
thank you Sean for this great video I have been a fan of yours for over 15 years p.s. your hair is still very cool..
Man this is really well structured, you've outdone yourself with this one.
That's great so interesting! thank you
This is so great Sean. That’s so cool you got to see the inside of the house when it was on the market back in 2006. That alien 👽 / naked gun pic was seriously creepy. Went to this location back in 2019 while in LA for Halloween Horror Nights. So crazy that the television footage, with Laurie, Linda and Anne, for Halloween was shot In the same location. Good detective work on finding the item that linked the house to both iconic franchises. You rock
Great little nugget of horror trivia. Great video, keep em coming
Absolutely incredible!! awesome you figuring it all out, seeing the rocking horse 🐴, connecting it all!! ☠️🙏🏽👊🏻
what an amazing discovery.
Great episode, Sean! Great story telling! Great piece of horror history! All the best! 😱😱😱 “Scare On!”
Sean, I just love your videos so much. You are so good at digging into the details!
Dood thats awesome! What a great find!
I've always wondered about Laurie's house in the TV cut. Awesome to see this connection.
Wow. Very cool and I had no idea!
that is super cool thank you for sharing :) now i can never un-see/un-know about the closet in Nancy's room pure awesome.
You belong in a museum dude. For your expertise and badassery
Mind Blown. WOW. and to see the actual rocking horse...
Awesome video as usual Sean. Thanks👍
Great video Sean. Always wanted mote info on this. Crazy to think that it's in both my favourite movies.
I saw a video on this subject before. From what I remember when they were about to release the tv version it was too short. So John Carpenter reassembled some of the cast to do some extra shots. This is when they used the Nightmare on Elm St house. But they did not use it in the original version of Halloween.
3:58 is he creepiest part of the whole house. That painting with the clown! Another great video.
This is frikin awesome!!!!!
I never would've clocked that Laurie Strode's [Part One House] AND Nancy Loomis's bedroom was ALL filmed inside the GENUINE Nightmare On Elm Street house....MIND BLOWN!....
This is one hell of an amazingly awesome video. I was ENTHRALLED. Loved it. Wonder where that rocking horse is now? Great job Sean.
🤯This is a great video! Great job!
I feel like I'm in Scanners right now because my mind is blown. Great job Sean thank for this awesome fact.
Damn good eye Sean,t hats one hell of a discovery.Awesome👍😃
Very cool info. Thanks. 🤔😁🎃
Seans out here doing gods work!
I knew about the filming inside the Elm Street house living room (I discovered that for myself when I bought the TV version) but I didn’t know that Nancy’s room was Annie’s room. That is so cool! If my memory is correct, I heard Robert Englund say, at a Q&A convention, that he actually worked on Halloween for a day or two, helping gather the leaves after a scene was shot. That blew my mind.
So cool! A hell of a connection to find. 👍🏻
My mind is blown 🤯 Great job connecting the dots! Amazing Video 🤩
This is soooo awesome 👍 ❤️
Fascinating piece of film history. I remember the first HHG I found was on the Elm Street locations.
You rule bro. Good eye. I can't believe my two favorite franchise are connected like that. Great work there COLUMBO lol
BADASS
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL #%^!!!!!!!! Dude.... you are the Sherlock Holmes of horror film locations. I am completely floored that you caught on to this from a simple rocking horse.... unbelievable.
I have no idea why your videos arent getting a million hits dude, awesome stuff. So how come no one knew this? Is this some sort of secret location that has some special meaning only top horror film directors know about?
I would say most likely because neither the Halloween nor Elm Street film makers had any clue. When they added this footage for the Halloween TV version it was just a quick shoot likely less than one day. The location meant nothing to them. Several years later when Elm Street was shot there they didn’t have anything to go off of except the TV version of Halloween if they happened to have even seen it to recognize the living room and the Elm Street crew didn’t even shoot in that living room. So unless Carpenter, Curtis or crew had seen A Nightmare on Elm Street and happened to recognize the front of the house from that one day they were there I doubt anyone would have made the connection. I stumbled upon it all because of that wooden rocking horse.
This is great! Makes me love that home even more. And great ending to this Vid “totally don’t believe it” 😂
Pretty cool. I remember you mentioning this before but nice to see the evidence.
And the house before the remodeling was pretty damn creepy with all the stuffed animals. No wonder she remodeled it!
This is a cool video. I remember seeing something about this connection a year or two ago.
And I love the scenes for the TV version of Halloween. I always pick that version when I watch it.
This is awesome trivia! I had no idea
So cool that you figured this out!
That's why I subscribed to you and not the other guy. You give the coolest facts and don't have annoying people killin the vibe.
This will be a great addition to Horror Trivia. You had to know this? You are a Horror movie machine.
Mind blown. Great observations!
That is cool!!
Thanks Sean
Nice work Sean! I expect just as thorough an investigation when you discover why the production crew left the van in the pit for Cherry 2000...
Pretty cool Sean - Good stuff
How did you put this together. Your the king of movie locations. You've got a good eye for detail Sean
Love your work Sean!🎃👍
Never ceases to amaze me
I knew it... I wasn't sure but every time I watch Nightmare on Elm and saw that house, I said it looked familiar and I remember saying to the wife it reminded me of Halloween... I guess I was right.
Great work Sean… as usual
This is so cool!!! So awesome!!!
Very cool, and nice touch of dialogue at the end
Awesome! Great Eye Man!✌️😎

I never cared for the Halloween tv footage, but gotta admit that's some Murder She Wrote caliber detective work. Great find.
