So amazing when you look at the wrestlers from that era and The Hammer is not only in great shape but has all his facilities and looks like he managed his money well.
Some of these old school guys like Greg give the best interviews, i could listen to him reminiscing all day. What crazy lives they led, we can only imagine.
Such a great heel. Hated him when I was a kid but have begun to love the humbly demeanor Greg has. Could listen to him talk about the old days for hours and hours.
I was a kid during his early 80s run...he was one of the guys you believed was able to use all the holds...just a workmanlike wrestler.. he is a legend in the business without question
My folks watched his dad,Johnny, for years here in Houston and I got a chance to see Greg several times live myself. He was no doubt as real as real gets.Much respect and health to "The Hammer".
It's not a full interview but I am happy that there's 11 clips on one video. But I do wish TMW included the clip about Valentine talkin' about his brother-in-law, Brian Knobbs. That being said, thank you, Title Match Wrestling.
Hey Greg, I wanted to let you know how much your fans, especially this one appreciate the candor in which you speak. The honest is heartfelt and it seems as though you are one of the most humble men I've heard speak. You represent "big time wrestling" with class.
I didnt know the hammer too well. He wasn't around Ny too much when I had my infatuation with the wwwf, but seeing his shoots now, I have total respect for him.
My God I'm so glad I found this.. Greg is pure Gold.. a wrestlers wrestler.. such a great person. Absolutely love his interviews. Got to meet him back in 1984 along with Flair..Henning and others.. was amazing. Always liked he was billed from Seattle as I was born and raised north of Seattle
The hammer 🔨 played his role so right that he had me believing that he was going to hurt my favorite wrestler at the time. And now I know that he also gave them their time to shine as the upcoming star to look forward to. The Hammer 🔨 opened up the doors for many young superstars. Because of the G he Hammer 🔨, there wouldn’t be a main event to come..
I like how Greg is 70 and looks pretty much the same really. He just looks like a 70 year old version of what he used to look like. He could probably pass for 5 or 10 years younger. Still has the blonde hair and rock n roll look. He appears to be in a much better way than most WWF 80's wrestlers. I never had any bad feelings about the Hammer when I was a little kid watching wrestling even though he was a heel. He was just a hard nosed, tough wrestler and never really did anything too gimmicky. He made a big mistake not leaving Vince to join the 4 Horsemen though. That would have been a perfect fit for him for his look and technical wrestling style. Plus, he was buddies with Flair.
One of all time favorites...even tho he was a heel he's one of the guys I started to appreciate as a kid because he legitimately IS and made ya believe he was real and a real tough guy. THE HAMMER made ya believe he was gna hammer somebody and could and would do so too. Awesome wrestler...love ya Greg 💪
Use to see Greg Valentine wrestle in Greenville SC, many a Monday nights, best Heel in the business, and always got involved with the audience all the time! 😊
I hope everybody paid Greg good because he was an amazing talent who will live forever in hours of incredible footage. Hero’s live forever…. But legends never die
I just watched the 1988 match with GA Steele. It was so funny, entertaining. Now I know what The Hammer said about Steele and how he wrestles him not according to formula but by audience reaction.
That's not a mullet, it's just long hair. A mullet is short on the top and sides, long in the back, like Jimmy Hart's hair in the '80s. He has had a mullet before though, like in the picture of him on that action figure packaging shown at 39:50.
Have loved The Hammer since a kid in the 80’s. His interviews are just like his wrestling, straightforward and real. You can tell he’s not bullshitting. But if he does he makes it obvious 😂
I'll never forget Valentine breaking Wahoo's leg on Mid-Atlantic Wrestling TV, I thought it was real. Valentine, Flair, Steamboat, Wahoo, Paul Jones, Blackjack Mulligan all made me a believer.
I hated Greg the hammer Valentine as a kid. He was such a good heel bad guy but now I love him because he did such an amazing job. Good for Greg. What a good job he did and had a good career he had.
Always loved The Hammer as a bad guy. His interviews with The Grand Wizard are timeless and he always put on a good show in the ring. One of the best “heels” in wrestling! I never saw him when he was a baby face but I don’t think I would have liked it as much….he was made to play the bad-mother part!!
Yes, you was in The Carolina’s in the early 80s for sure! I remember when you were with Flair, then Cowboy Bob Orton moved in with Flair when you left…
Greg is a real gentleman he had a lot of respect for the other westlers I bet if he was asked.to westle one more time more than likely he would but he is seventy now just saying and I know that Hogan won't be back in the ring he is getting closer to seventy Hogan should just enjoy retirement his Westling days are over and be like the hammer telling great stories nothing wrong with that and the hammers mind is very sharp remembering they many matches that he was in that's fantastic I bet he even remembers his very first match and who he westler up the irons maiden manic keep on rocking Greg your doing a fantastic job🤘🤘🇬🇧🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸🎸
Just like everyone said about the Hammer 🔨, I was scared of him when it came to the time that he had to wrestle my favorite wrestler, because I knew he was dangerous.
Is he not in the wrestling HOF? That seriously is shocking to me. He was around forever in many different federations and I thought he had a good relationship with Vince.
Somebody should ask The Hammer about a TV pilot he did (I am not making this up) where he and.....GEORGE STEELE! buy a fishing camp or maybe a fishing school down south. Somethin Fishy or Going Fishing, something like that..
It’s funny how all the wrestlers have the same weird words for things like Halliburton for gym bag and they all wore Fanny packs too haha. I suppose it’s because when you are sore as hell all you wear for road travel is a sweatsuit with no pockets
When you watch Valentine's matches, you cannot really tell that he was a heal. Being accompanied by his manager was the obvious clue that he was. Indeed, he may have done some questionable moves as expected from a heal, but no cheap shots. I think that's because he respected and adhered to the art of wrestling rather than the gimmicks.
Grew up watching Greg in the Northeast, one of my favorite wrestlers because I used to like the heels. Much better actors than the suck-up Babyface. Speaking of which I got to agree that I never thought sting was that special
Pretty scummy to hold up a promoter like that. I liked to hear his stories before. Maybe if promoter stiffed talent in the past. But otherwise, that is just wrong to 'negotiate' like that.

So amazing when you look at the wrestlers from that era and The Hammer is not only in great shape but has all his facilities and looks like he managed his money well.
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, one of the very best to ever do it. Thank you for all of the awesome matches and memories, Sir.
Absolutely!! A true Ambassador of the sport!!
Some of these old school guys like Greg give the best interviews, i could listen to him reminiscing all day. What crazy lives they led, we can only imagine.
Greg is a National Treasure! All of his stories are Gold!
Greg Valentine is the most honest humble and respectful wrestler I have ever heard do an interview.
So nice to hear someone talk good on Warrior. That's made me even more a fan of Greg
Such a great heel. Hated him when I was a kid but have begun to love the humbly demeanor Greg has. Could listen to him talk about the old days for hours and hours.
I swear that's exactly how I feel
Proper chap
Greg is such a good story teller and respected by everyone
Greg Valentine was a good wrestler to watch, obviously got along well with the other wrestlers and provides good stories from the past.
One of the most under-rated of ALL-TIME! 💯👍💪
2021, the year of the Hammer! Best thing that has happened to this channel! 😀💪🏼
Agreed
Greg had an amazing career, 1st Starrcade, 1st WM, performed in front of 93k+ at WM3, almost 70k at WM6...a true legend
Your description of Valentine's career is the reason why Greg deserves to be in any wrestling hall of fame.
I was a kid during his early 80s run...he was one of the guys you believed was able to use all the holds...just a workmanlike wrestler.. he is a legend in the business without question
I think he also did the big event 70K Toronto. I was there but I can't be sure it was all about the main event for us. Hogan Orndorff
Main eventer from the 70s to the 90s when I was little in the 70s was scary and his promote were the best
@@kenterminateddq5311 Absolutely
My folks watched his dad,Johnny, for years here in Houston and I got a chance to see Greg several times live myself. He was no doubt as real as real gets.Much respect and health to "The Hammer".
The Hammer. A true professional wrestler, not a "sports entertainment" A real legend & best interviews from his time & now
It's not a full interview but I am happy that there's 11 clips on one video.
But I do wish TMW included the clip about Valentine talkin' about his brother-in-law, Brian Knobbs.

Appreciate putting Valentine segments together! His shoots are awesome!

Love you Greg. A great part of my childhood he was.💯
Thank you for posting all of the interviews it was interesting to listen to and I have a new appreciation for Greg "The Hammer" Valentine.
I didnt know the hammer too well. He wasn't around Ny too much when I had my infatuation with the wwwf, but seeing his shoots now, I have total respect for him.
I always looked forward as a kid to see the Hammer when i rented wrestlemanias and the other wwf tapes from the video store.
Greg is such a great guy. My all time favorite wrestler

Back in the Day I hated the “hammer “ now I LOVE this Guy! Great story teller!
The Hammer's match against Ronnie Garvin at the 1990 Royal Rumble in Orlando was always a favorite of mine.
Love this guy. Grew up in the 80'S
One of the BEST wrestlers of all time!
The man! Greg is awesome
Good Stuff 👍....brings back the 80's..when WWF was huge...
Jon, Greg, it is nice to hear some of the history and your experiences from your point of views. Thanks for telling the stories for the fans!

I love these videos!! Great job.
Real and great man...your the best ever Hammer
Greg is one of 3 wrestlers that wrestled in both of the first Starcade and WrestleMania.
I got to see Greg wrestle live several times in the early 1980s he put so many none wrestlers over . Always on my top favorite wrestlers .❤
Great Interview
Greg always looks professional and well spoken. I always like how he wrestles
One of the best
Greg always looked mad as hell but in reality you can tell he is a very nce guy.
Use to see Greg Valentine wrestle in Greenville SC, many a Monday nights, best Heel in the business, and always got involved with the audience all the time! 😊
Back in the 80s…
Remember those matches!!! 😊That’s when I saw Valentine often! One of my all time faves!!!
Thank God Greg Valentine is still among the living at his age. Quite rare for wrestlers.
To tough to die
NOT 1 Thumbs Down. not a one.
Hammer & TMW 🤘🍻💪
In all fairness, UA-cam supposedly doesn't show "dislike"s anymore.
It's bc youtube are sensitive twats and don't have dislikes visible anymore its all some political bs
Greg The Hammer Valentine is the greatest Legend in Professional wrestling and all over the world, and the Hall of Famer.
I like Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Still rockin' the power mullet. Seems like a good guy to grab a beer with.
That's not a mullet, it's just long hair. A mullet is short on the top and sides, long in the back, like Jimmy Hart's hair in the '80s. He has had a mullet before though, like in the picture of him on that action figure packaging shown at 39:50.
THE HAMMA!! THE HAMMMA!! Love this guy!
Cool guy the Hammer.
Really enjoyed him in WWF when I was a kid.
Rumor has it Greg was wasn't ready before this Interview before a hour like gorilla monsoon would say
Have loved The Hammer since a kid in the 80’s. His interviews are just like his wrestling, straightforward and real. You can tell he’s not bullshitting. But if he does he makes it obvious 😂
Lol Greg the hammer line, the bruiser Brody must have been before the Puerto Rico thing!” 😂🤣😂 Greg I don’t think it was possible after
That was hilarious😂
Class act never talks about any of his peers in a negative light
I love Greg the hammer 🔨 I think he was underrated
I'll never forget Valentine breaking Wahoo's leg on Mid-Atlantic Wrestling TV, I thought it was real. Valentine, Flair, Steamboat, Wahoo, Paul Jones, Blackjack Mulligan all made me a believer.
I hated Greg the hammer Valentine as a kid. He was such a good heel bad guy but now I love him because he did such an amazing job. Good for Greg. What a good job he did and had a good career he had.
Probably the best interviews are with this guy. Black Bart, OMG, Windham too.
Oh yes!
Class Act...
Yes, you was in The Carolina’s in the early 80s for sure! I remember when you were with Flair, then Cowboy Bob Orton moved in with Flair when you left…
Greg Valentine...your work is the shits!
Could you get his thoughts on Rick Martel and Ronnie Garvin ? Thanks
Remember it well in Florida. Gordon Solie Productions.

I bet the hammer would like me, he likes everybody! Seems like a great guy!
Hammer would find the good side of Hitler. The man is just a stand up dude
Great vid, where’s the podcast?
Where are the full shoots? I've been looking for it, don't mind paying, but it's not on your site!
Just like everyone said about the Hammer 🔨, I was scared of him when it came to the time that he had to wrestle my favorite wrestler, because I knew he was dangerous.
💥🔨 💪🏼
The one thing can say out all the shoot interviews I’ve never heard anything bad about greg
He should be in the HOF.
Is he not in the wrestling HOF? That seriously is shocking to me. He was around forever in many different federations and I thought he had a good relationship with Vince.
He’s wearing his HALL OF FAME ring. 🙄
Greg has a lifetime of knowledge. AEW would be doing themselves a favor by hiring Greg as an agent.
No doubt about it!
In regards to the warrior I'm to believe we're all a little different from each other
What kind of gold watch is Greg wearing?
Somebody should ask The Hammer about a TV pilot he did (I am not making this up) where he and.....GEORGE STEELE! buy a fishing camp or maybe a fishing school down south. Somethin Fishy or Going Fishing, something like that..
It’s funny how all the wrestlers have the same weird words for things like Halliburton for gym bag and they all wore Fanny packs too haha. I suppose it’s because when you are sore as hell all you wear for road travel is a sweatsuit with no pockets

Grew up watching Greg in the Northeast, one of my favorite wrestlers because I used to like the heels.
Much better actors than the suck-up Babyface.
Speaking of which I got to agree that I never thought sting was that special
Did he ever catch them Goonies?
Only an hour for the hammer,He only can get half warmed up with that time.
For the record *Jake Roberts did not expose himself at Heroes of Wrestling*
We bonded by screwing over an Austrian promoter.

Amidst all that flash and bang n bright colors, all this guy used ia shingaurd. Totally over back in the day
I thought Sunny was in jail.🤣

So he didn't like to get suplexed... good thing Greg never had to wrestle this guy:ua-cam.com/video/ys5IKNMqtzs/v-deo.html
