if those made it into the game, the soundtrack would've been absolutely legendary. I think midnight club today would have a better chance than back then, updates for studios are easier to implement, live services are a thing and dlc keeps the game alive and going etc etc. It would definetely have a place in today's market, there aren't street racers anymore except nfs and we can see just how defeated the series is going back and forth trying to gain an identity. I wonder if by modding either the physical game or the game save files on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 would it be possible to access these music files and enable them back into the full game like they were originally intended. It’s not like anyone can’t find the music files since they exist on the game disc/download and is presumably apart of the individual save files as well. Maybe some rogue hacker kid can modify their copy or make a program that would allow these files to play in the game. The same method could also work for Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and DUB Edition Remix, since there were music files that didn’t make it into the final cut but yet are still present on the game disc/download as well as the save files on both PS2, PS3 and the original Xbox/Xbox 360. Its really interesting to see the games in their present state but also cool to see what they could have really been like. I will say that it would be really interesting to play through both games again with the cut/hidden music re-added in.

it doesn't need to be reverse engineerd. the way the audio works is very similar to gta iv, and people have already figured out how to add music to that game years ago. only nobody from that scene wants to work on MCLA unfortunately :( however, restoring the cut music is very possible. we can create new audio files and add new text strings to the game, it's just a question of someone putting in the effort to crack the game's audio metadata files

With modern tech, I hope any Midnight Club gets reversed engineered just to simply restore cut soundtrack
it doesn't need to be reverse engineerd. the way the audio works is very similar to gta iv, and people have already figured out how to add music to that game years ago. only nobody from that scene wants to work on MCLA unfortunately :( however, restoring the cut music is very possible. we can create new audio files and add new text strings to the game, it's just a question of someone putting in the effort to crack the game's audio metadata files
