Well that was absolutely beautiful, an amazing hike
Great video. I am thinking to get there for coulple of days, but due to weather I guess it will be smart to wait until the summer next year :)
wow thanks for the upload
Nice video! I've been wanting to head out that way for a while and get some footage for my own channel. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! It is an amazing place.
wow
Great shots in this video! As a filmer myself, planning to do a trekking tour there, i have to ask if there are options to charge your batteries at those cabins if you plan to sleep in a tent? Or do you just need to bring a few extra ones?
Hi Alex, it’s a great area for shooting photos and videos. Most DNT cabins are very basic and do not have electricity. As you suggested, it’s a good idea to bring enough batteries. There are a few cabins that do have electricity, using the map from ut.no you can see de details of the cabins, but keep in mind that visiting the cabins might require a reservation this year due to COVID.
Hey man! Really great impressions! Where are those bridges you cross at the very beginning and at 1:40? To you have a link to your tour somewhere? Wanna do that region in September! Cheers
I started at the train station of Finse, hiked around the East side of the Hardangerjøkulen glassier all the way South to Litlos cabin. After that a bit back North to the mountain Hårteigen and after that to Trolltunga (Odda). The bridges in the begin are close to the lake at Finse. There are a lot of summer bridges in the area for crossing streams. For a detailed GPX file, feel free to send a message on my e-mail: outdoorahead@gmail.com.
Great video!
What part of Hardangervidda are you at?
Cheers
Elton's tour and trekking I stayed at Finse, hiked around the hardangerjøkulen glacier to South. From there to Harteigen and Trolltunga.
Faszinierend, ich bin Beeindruckt! Welche Jahreszeit ist das? Liebe Grüße Thomas
Vielen Dank.
@@OutdoorAhead Echt? Da habe ich den Norden wohl unterschätzt? Danke für deinen Tipp
@@WandernmitHerz Die Hardangervidda ist hoch (1100 m Durchschnitt, 1863 m höchster Berg). Ich habe Ende Juli Schnee erlebt. Viel Glück bei deiner Reise.
im coming to hike there this year, is there any resupply points or do you need to bring all 7 days worth of food?
There are cabins from the DNT (Norwegian trail association), some of which offer food and/or resupply. At their website you can find how to become a member for a year and at UT.no there are good maps with the different cabins in the area and if a membership is required or not.
Good luck planning! It’s a great area for hiking.
How many days did you spend there?
In 7 days I hiked from train station Finse to Tyssedal (Trolltunga). It can be done quicker, but I made some detours to get there.
Thanks @@OutdoorAhead !
Do you think 7 days is enough to see it all in there? Or would you spend more if you could?
@@TaborPrzemyslaw the Hardangervidda is a large area with many trails, cabins, mountains, glaciers and lakes. There are numerous options how you can plan a trip there. If you take a look at www.ut.no you get an idea of all the trails that are there.
But I think 7 days will give you a good impression of the area.
@@OutdoorAhead Thanks! How cold did it get at night? What sleeping bag did you use if I may ask?
@@TaborPrzemyslaw I had warm temperatures when I was there that year. So I had a summer sleeping bag and enough clothing layers in case it would be cold at night. Another time I was in the Hardangervidda there was still a lot of snow in July and I wished I had a winter sleeping bag. So it’s hard to give a general advice for the type of sleeping bag.
My advice: check the weather and the amount of snow left. Finse station is high in the Hardangervidda. Additionally, the station has a webcam, so you can get a idea of how much snow there is and plan from there.
Meindl do the job eh😃
That is for sure!
