I would have started at the water edge and work my way back up the beach. Just the lake hunter. I got a more than a few gold rings this year. Our lake is in a drought 7 feet and falling. old swimming holes 1960-70. Gold and silver just waiting on me to dig up! keep swinging. Frozen right now that's why I am watching you.
Enjoyed the different landscape you detected in this video, hope you make another one at this location. Looks like that place is loaded with more relics!
Great hunt John. Cool relics, and thats the smallest harmonica reed ive ever seen. Sooo awesome you found that ring, when you had given up on finding jewelry.
Cool finds, I dig the local lake bed every weekend and I'm amazed at what I find some days. Last weekend I pulled a 1983 Kennedy Half dollar about 14" deep and 1937 Merc in great shape. The dam was built in 1943 and the lake bed is the old county seat before the dam was built. We have dug musket balls. Also dug a large rim fire cartridge case haven't cleaned it yet. There used to be a military fort a little ways up river. I always a challenge to see what going to turn up. The lake is now filling up so my days are numbered until next summer when the water drops.
I live near Lake Erie in Ohio this last summer. The water blew out from a strong wind at least a good 30 feet after the storm subsided. It returned really freaky.
I found two massive 14k gold rings and a smaller but thick 14k 1/4 carat diamond ring in about 20 minutes one day in 1996 in a swimming area at a boat landing on the Louisiana side of Toledo Bend Lake. I was using a Bounty Hunter machine with target ID that had tones or all metal threshold mode with manual ground balance with 7 in coil. Found a lot of rings with it that year and always found enough coins for gas and beer. Wore that detector out! They were working on the dam that fall and the lake was very low and people found thousands of arrowheads too. I found a 14k earring and 18k gold rim "John Denver" glasses, bunch of clad coins, and several old Timex watches that day at this spot. One actually still worked but only lasted a few months. I can`t wear or touch the old wind up watches because they quit working. I`ve messed up a ton of electronics. I interfere with them somehow. Thankfully it hasn`t been too bad in the past several years.
Nice hunt. I too would hit the low lakes if they were in OK, when I lived out there. I am also out of PTO for the year myself. We actually do well, they give us 18hrs a month PTO and don't cut it up. However, look for the areas people swim outside of the swim areas. I found alot of good finds doing that. Always scouting the lakes and then hit them early in the am and loaded was the word. For some reason, other water detector guys would not hunt those areas
I remember my grandmother having those ice trays. I would run in after playing and she would make wash my hands and being wet my hands would stick to the trays and my cousin would just rip them out of my hand… I might have a little PTSD from my childhood…
Honestly? Not trying to be rude or crued, but i believe the body jewelry is a Prince Albert Piercing. I have one just like it! LOL 😆 If you don't know what a Prince Albert is, I'm not saying! Look it up. LOL 😆 Love your channel by the way! J

I can't wait to find my first gold ring. I have found a silver ring, but not a gold one. I'm also excited to find my first silver coin.
Congratulations on the ring. Well deserved for cleaning up all of the trash
Yes it did

Brother you had some good luck at the lake.
that body jewelry is a toe ring, you should let your buddies join you at the beach and why didn't you do the wrap up at Gary Garage.
I remember my grandmother having those ice trays. I would run in after playing and she would make wash my hands and being wet my hands would stick to the trays and my cousin would just rip them out of my hand… I might have a little PTSD from my childhood…
