    Firstly well done on losing the weight Dave! :) I think we can get used to any set if we play with them long enough, Peter Wright is a prime example but I still think there is some darts we just feel a little more comfy with over others but even I have hit a 180 with 3 completely different darts, which was a big surprise lol! :) But I do agree that a lot of it is in the head and I see it all the time, people thinking its the darts that are to blame when its not.

      Hi Darren yep mate as usual your bang on Peter is looking for that elusive darts Utopia that extra 1% that makes the difference between winning and loosing. As the old saying goes one mans meat is another mans poison and i think its a lot about confidence or the lack of it in the equipment. the ultimate player is MVG his darts look like they came out of his shed in the 90s but they work for him and have for a long long time.

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel 6 років тому +1

      Yeah I think with the likes of the pros a 1% improvement would be all they need to get that little extra so probably a bit more important for them to make sure everything is spot on but as you say MVG and also Wade have used the same darts for years!

    One thing that absolutely helped my consistency Dave is YOU! I watched your video on the “Grip”. I made a slight change to my grip that is very similar between Phil and Michael VG. Man. I’m on the money and it’s consistent!! You Rock from little Raeford, NC in the States!! Thank you mutch!!

    Great points, Dave. I throw 21g darts. Bought some 24 g thinking it would be different somehow. The barrel weight really makes no difference that I can tell. I throw them just as well as my 21g set. The difference is in the feel in my hand and grip placement as they are slightly thicker diameter and longer barrel. I find flite style and shaft length make more difference than weight. Even if a particular setup lands at a different angle in the board, I still hit where I throw it. All I have to do to get the entry angle I'm used to is get the right flite and shaft length for that barrel. Keep up the good work.

    Fascinating!
    The 'moral of the story' is:
    PRACTICE!
    I think there's definitely a preference for lighter or heavier darts to begin with when people are just starting out, but as the video shows - stick with what works for you.

    Just found this video and really enjoyed it. Was wondering if you have done a comparison video of different shape darts, bullet, straight, stiletto etc in the same weight to see how the all lie differently in the board? Would be very interested. Thanks again and am subscribing for sure

    I watched our video. Since my English is not very good, I will ask a friend of mine to translate what you say for me. But as far as I can see, there are more accurate shots to the center point with heavy sets. I'm not wondering if I should start with a heavy set. I tried it on bomber sets. They are doing well in terms of shooting. But they say don't buy them when you're starting out.
    I don't have a dart set right now and I'm planning to buy one. There is no dart shop close to where I live and they provide their services online and they are sold unnecessarily expensive. I've been asking my friends who are going abroad, but I couldn't get a set. As a last resort, I will buy it from amazon. But I don't know what to buy to start with. Can you offer concrete product-based suggestions?

    Last comment...For today anyway!! I know you like the underdog dart company’s but I bought a set of Target Power 9-Five Gen 6 Phil Taylor signature darts. I love them!! Let me know if you ever get a chance to toss them.

    Great work and really opens my eyes about using different darts. Cheers Dave! But other than the Auras, do u have other sets from Harrows or other brands that you use regularly?
    And just one more question, what do u feel are the pros anf cons between different manufacturers, like for instance between Target, Harrows & Unicorn.

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  6 років тому +1

      Boom12 hi buddy thanks for the great comment. I have used target when the pixel grip came out and by God was it grippy at first but settled down to be one of the best ever . The harrows aura are a totally different kind of grip when cold it's low but gets much better as the darts warm up in your hand. I will right more later bud 👍👍👍
