Do you surf when the waves are really small?

Surfing all sized waves is fun, but sometimes the smaller days can be more aggravating than fun.

I'm 76 and ONLY surf small waves LOL! However I never have a "bad" day in the water either!

It's all I surf 🤙 , small, mushy, closeouts...I just go out and enjoy it. Being in the water is therapeutic for my mind and the cold water helps calm all my inflamed joints 😅

I beg to differ that it’s not as thrilling. I get really excited when it’s a 1-2 ft day. In fact this is what I dream of! Sometimes it’s hard to find 1 ft peeling waves on the Cali coast. It’s all big pumping close out shore-break. Sign me up for small waves!

This size is Florida a lot, which is good enough for the paddling work out and since the water is 40C lately, pretty much like sitting in bath water; plus Sunday afternoons can have a fair number of female bather's too. It's fun to offer free surf lessons, just to see their reaction to their inability to even paddle through the small stuff.
