Charlie generally doesn't like glitchless runs. He always says "that's just playing the game fast." All his speedrun challenges have been full of glitches.

At first I had a bit of a boomer mentality about speed runs, like "what's the point of it, play and enjoy the game" but I now really appreciate the creativity that goes into speedrunning. It's astounding what they can do. Of course we should appreciate the craftsmanship in videogames but there's a lot of fun in breaking them too! I'd suggest maybe watching Htman Trilogy speed runs. Glitches are very rare to see through the runs, most of it is just ultra insane ways of using the mechanics of the game, which aren't glitches but sometimes they can feel that way with how crazy they are. Like the current Paris level strat, you drop a bomb, then use another bomb to blow the first one onto the roof of the building on the other side of the map to a precise point, when you blow it up it drops a chandelier on the targets head, counting as an "accidental" murder. That might be confusing not knowing the game, but each level (21 in total) are done in around 1 minute each so t's not bad to just check out a few levels

It's wild to think that the wr is 97 seconds, and the first 50 seconds of it is an unskippable cutscene. Less than half of the time on the clock is spent actually playing. Think thiss is why many speedrun communities start the timer moment you gain control of your character.

I feel like he should be at 1:41 because his timer kept going while the game was frozen but the WR run didnt have the timer running for that period because of load times and junk. Maybe I'm dumb but I feel it should be slightly faster
Shoutout to BloodThunder, I've been watching him for years. He does a great job at the Amnesia series and the Bioshock series runs, I think he has several world records and is working on the WR for the System Shock remake
Lol no it’s not, granny shifting is when you just push the clutch in, shift to desired gear, and then release clutch. Whereas double clutching is when you clutch in, shift to neutral, clutch out, clutch back in, shift to desired gear and release clutch. Double clutching mainly allows you to downshift at higher RPM’s as well as not being as rough on your clutch. No hate intended in this comment btw. P.S that line is from one of the Fast and Furious movies.
I think it's cool that people can beat a video game in a ridiculous amount of time, yeah, you're right, it's a video game all right. I feel like speedrunners don't look at the meaning behind the story, the impact that the video game is supposed to have on you whether it's a simple 8bit game, to a grand campaign game that the developers spent tons of money on to inspire the gamers who complete it. I really hope speedrunners play the game the way it's intended then they speedrun, cause then it reminds me that they want to speedrun through all their problems.

What I find funny about charlie is that he find a 5 minutes stealth section or if he dies in a games and have to redo a 35 sec walk to get where he was, too "tedious" but yet he can spend hours researching and practicing some moves to get out of bound for stuff like this haha
