But, start with an aircraft that YOU love, DCS is going to be such an enjoyable experience when you are learning a favorite aircraft of yours, mine was the F-16 and I have almost 700 hours in DCS, and I have 3 full-fidelity aircraft, (F16, F18 and F14), plus FC3, and can't enjoy the game more.

I recently bought the hardware I'm going to need, and I've already got a group of friends that have been trying to talk me into this for a while now. Either way, it's gonna be fun

@@SuheMalqir I guess an apt anology is that DCS is a simulator of the fantasy of being a pilot as adults". DCS can be played in an incredibly realistic way. But I suspect the majority treat it as an extremely hardcore and immersive Ace Combat. I know I do.
Not gonna happen in DCS, all the advanced jets and whatnot are more or less classified, so no team will develop such modules. Maybe we'll get the B-2 in 40 years or something.
I really would love more flight games like this event. The depth and realism of flight of DCS but with the cinematic moments, music, and heroic feelings of Ace Combat!
Drewski and DCS always is a great combination... BTW if you love Ace Combat, you should probably look into the early Grim Reapers campaign videos... they aren't the most disciplines guys out there, but it's hilarious to watch and they used AC soundtracks for their videos for quite a while.a
We are going to get far better air combat as F-4 match with MiG-19, MiG-21, MiG-23, MiG-29. One plane to actually be offered to finally bring balance to RedAir. But we really need MiG-23MLA to come from Razbam, as that is the aircraft that will change everything. But that is likely 4-5 years away anyways.
Same with the J-8B. There will finally be a Red and Blue aircraft that are well matched to each other. The MiG-21 in DCS is just a little too far behind the F-5E. MiG-23 vs F-4 would also be good.
I want to add that I also had problems with my FOX1s (they were set correctly) and at one point I could not follow the bombers going full afterburner also.
Just recently started fly the F-15 in this game, so it's really cool to finally be able to watch these types of videos and actually have a decent understanding of everything that's going on. Love the AC BGM.
Just for future refferance Drew, the R-3R is SUPER slow and short range, its basically a worse aim-9B with a radar seeker replacing the IR one. So for any rear aspect work, i would only use the R-60. And then the R-3R for head on attacks, within 2 miles

Nice to see Drewski enjoys the Classics of the Ace Combat Franchise whilst being a DCS player. For reasons I don't understand the two communities somehow constantly run into each other but then proceed to butt heads because of how radically different each game is.
You splashed an F-14 after not switching half your plane on 😂 Love your DSC content, you have quite an aggressive style and it makes for some great entertainment. It’s a nice switch up from other DCS channels who are maybe more informative (and still entertaining). You clearly do it purely to have fun and hope to do well as opposed to being driven to learn everything inside out and doing things “by the book”, and for me that’s how it should be… it’s a sim, not the real thing.
You should never use DLSS in a game like DCS where a pixel is important because that pixel could be an airplane, while the AI doesn’t care and sometimes decides not to render the one pixel you're desperately trying to follow or fight…
Seems like a great event, wish i could have done this one. Summer skies is a great co-op multiplayer campaign that gets run during the summer months. A story in the margins of the main Ace combat cannon and some great planning on the mission creators and squadron leaders!
aw, man! I was hoping this video would be at least 2 or 3 times longer. Love the DCS content. I'm nowhere rich or smart enough to play it, but it's really cool. I'm hoping to see some Spitfire battles, in the future!
You don’t have to be rich to play dcs and second most of the players aren’t smart either and its a video game you can make mistakes have fun and learn through trail and error.
With VTOL VR being the game I mostly play, my only experience with older jets in a true sim environment is in the Viggen, which is very advanced for the time. So it means that I am used to flying what is essentially either supercars or the latest Tesla compared to the MiG-21 which is practically an old muscle car, good in most respects, but exceptional at going fast, but that’s about it
you know prior to this video i was thinking about how i might be ready to try out dcs, but after seeing how badly missing a single switch can mess you up i think i should maybe wait a little bit longer
