Well, it's dino crisis for you. The game is all about secret agent going on Ibis islande to evacuate Dr. Kirk, but the island is full of dinosaurs, that's the basic plot. It's a pure survival horror game where you have to take care about your ammo and stuff.
I'm playing on easy difficulties not because « normal » is too hard for me but just because i think this is more logical to begin with all your weapons.
Finished with the best ending. I always followed Rick's decision so i don't know what choosing Gail's decision do.

Man all capcom's games on ps1 were scary! That old school camera with awkward controls made zombies so damn intense. I could hardly even play I had to watch my big brother beat them lol. Playing now I have no problem but when it was released in the 90s I was too young to get all the puzzle shit.
there are some games with natural age barriers, so scared at certain age that kids wont play them. when doom came and i tried to play it, i was way too young, it felt like i was defending myself all the time and there was no escape, could only play some then had to turn it off, made me anxious.

I sat through this at 12 a.m. because this was one of the games I grew up with as a kid but never beat and I wanted to see a full playthrough, no regrets.

Interesting note: the lady that voiced Regina is Stephanie Morgenstern, who was the original English dub voice of Sailor Venus in Sailor Moon, and who (along with her husband) created a TV cop show.
Not only that, but Rick's voice actor voiced Donkey Kong in the 90s CGI series (the one responsible for the memetic "I'll shower you with coconut cream pies" line)
they need to remake this game like they did resident evil.
They did even a new chapter where Regina go to save Dylan with the help of Gail and Rick!

@Matthew Wade no way. I just completed re2 remake for the first time and I gotta say it was probably the best remake of any game I've ever played. The new camera does not detract from the overall experience in fact I would say it's allowed the devs to explore new ways to scare the player. It takes everything from og and redefines it for a modern audience whilst still keeping it's core gameplay intact. It's okay to be a purist I do understand why you might not like it because I too have a hard on for classic fixed camera re. If you want the best classic experience I always recommend re1 remake which is classic to the very core or if your looking for a mix between some old and some new then cv is your best friend. I honestly hope we get an re3 remake in the vogue of re2 remake and hopefully cv will get the treatment that game is insanely underrated waaay better than 3 which everyone seems to love but it was easy peasy and incredible short so maybe they could flesh it out in a remake.

This game needs a remake, been sayin it for years.
I've always liked this channel. Whenever there's a game from my childhood that I wanted to experience but never got around to playing, this channel usually has me covered. It's not quite the same, but I pretty much get the experience without hunting for and paying for a PSX copy and taking 10 hours to beat it myself.

Me, I've been waiting for a Remake of this Classic for ages, But Capcom are too focused on not just RE8 for the PS5, But a Remake of Resident Evil 4, (Which in my opinion is a very weird choice) You don't think they aren't remaking this and 2 because they might Accidently Remake Dino Crisis 3 do you? It could be be Capcom's chance to follow on the Unused ideas for Dino Crisis 3, (Basically Retconning the XBOX exclusive)

2 was basically the Re4 of Dino Crisis. Both are great games but drop the survival horror aspect for more action.

So many great memories of this game are still fun to remember. Cooper getting eaten at the beginning. Your first encounter with a raptor. The choices to make throughout the game between your squad mates. I hope they can do a remake of this game. Sure, keep the same form it is in, but remark it for old time sake. Best part is fighting the dinos throughout the game.

It's funny how back in the late 90s, this was quite revolutionary 3D on a CRT television. Now almost 25 years later, it's almost unwatchable because of how pixelated everything is!

8:51 I remember how much i was amazed with the graphics and camera at this particular moment when i first played Dino Crisis. And was scared as fuck when the scene with that torn out guy came. Dino Crisis really made an impact on me, one of my favourite PS1 games.

Part 1 was more atmospheric whereas part 2 i enjoyed with lots of action, many guns and combos lol. The way the camera follows the character is unique compared to Resident Evil

@@gucci5320 That's because Dino Crisis was built entirely in 3D, characters, scenario..., while RE or Dino Crisis 2 user the 2D pre-rendered backgrounds more common on that days. Because it's completely 3D, camera can position itself in many directions, even in the T.Rex perspective, something that the sequel and the pre-rendered background can't do.
Playing this at 2 years old literally frightened me to the point it gave me a temporary fear to dinosaurs, looking back at this a decade later, I get a nostalgic mix of fear and happiness. I'm quite both thankful and sad I'll never have the joy to play this.

I still remember my dad getting me this for me at a local Hollywood rental movie store. It was probably really cheap and since I was into dinosaurs at the time, because of Jurassic Park, he thought it was a good idea to get the game for me. Well little did he and I know that it was actually really scary for me. I straight up had nightmares about this game for soo long. Then years passed and me and my siblings forgot about it up until we moved to our new house. We saw our ps1 and the games we had and Dino crisis was one of them. We then remembered about how scared we were of it and decided to play it once again for old times sake, and again we were got scared of it, but it was a fun scare rather than a horror scare. Sadly though it had stopped playing once you meet rick in the control room. Even now its badly damaged that it doesn't even get to start up the game anymore. Good memories, planning on getting the game on eBay to once again relive the memories and show this game to my 7yr old brother.

***** Actually, I think that Dino Crisis 2´s Rex design is directly based from the Jurassic Park franchise T-rex. I would rather say that the Rex from Dino Crisis 1 was designed completely by capcom.
DC2 used pre-rendered backgrounds like RE 1,2,3 - so they had more polygons for characters and enemies. DC1 was in full 3D and it's one of the best-looking games of its kind on the PS1 - if not THE best: the character models are not that far off from what you see in RE2. "Metal Gear Solid", for example, went for a very stylized design to work around the hardware limitations.

The final door was the toughest, the only one that got me. Probably because I played the game after weeks when I got halfway through which made me forget about the instructions. Had to look it up.

You wouldn't think dinos would be scary, but surprisingly the game makes them terrifying. Maybe it's just those old ps1 graphics, they tend to scare me because I often don't see everything clearly. Old ps1 games could get pretty scary no doubt.

Lol this shit made me remember pizza hut days when you could get a ps1 demo of great games. Luckily my mom worked at one for a few months and got a bunch of them because we never really ate from there. I'm pretty sure one was metal gear solid and some game called medieval? Like some skeleton guy with a sword or something. Man has things changed I miss those days. Not related but I loved back when small grocery stores had super Nintendo games to rent in the late 90s. Never once rented from a movie store but I guess since we had to go grocery shopping my mother would rent me one.
