  • Multi-Species Fishing in Farrington Lake. The last day before I go back to work after being on unemployment for an amazing 3 months I decided to go to Farrington Lake and give it a shot. It was tough to bass fish, but there is tons of pan fish there. I hope you guys enjoy and leave me some feedback.

    Having fished Farrington Lake many years. You would have caught many more bass, by using Texas rigged worms, a few shallow running crank baits, or spinner baits. Bobber fishing, generally speaking, does not cat bass, unless shiners are attached. Bobber fishing, for the most part is good for panfish, perch, and trout. Which is what you caught. Regardless, Farrington, is a fun place to fish, even when done from the shore. And better done in the middle of the week, than on weekends. Continued Good Luck!

    I just found this place on fishbrain, I'm gonna try it in the spring. I have a 16 boat which is perfect, I just have to run on the trolling motor. Cool video bro

      @@FlyezBassing definitely excited to try it...would it be worth trying this time of year? Is the whole thing fishable by kayak/boat or only parts of it? Thanks.

      @c.shoe8610 I don’t typically fish this time of year, but I know a few guys catching nice crappie out of there right now.

    Do you ever fish from the banks? I don't have a boat, so I like to watch videos to get ideas for bank fishing.

      I do sometimes. But for the most part, I like the kayak as you get more access

    I love big perch in cool weather because they run deep and fight like hell. They’ll hit oversized hard lures, too.

      I’ve only caught 2 perch in my life, nothing big enough for a big fight, but I hear the big ones fight great.

    The JuneBug Red is straight fire this year. My favorite worm on the market.

    Good trip and video. You should go to Booton or SplitRock next!

      Thank you! I do have a video up from Splitrock but I’m going back soon for some smallies. Where in Boonton do you recommend?

      @@FlyezBassing Booton Reservoir is supposed to be a smallmouth factory. I don't know the current rules about fishing it but it used to be shoreline only.

      Yes I read about that. I have passed that place many times and have been wanting to go in there but cannot find anything about being allowed there.

    i been doing saltwater now thinkin raritan river near piscataway or farrington what do u think worm and a bobber i never fish fresh before. I wanna get some keepers I was also thinking spruce run round valley any info? happy fishing!

    • @FlyezBassing
      @FlyezBassing  3 роки тому

      Spruce run and round valley are great options! I went to spruce run and they have hybrid stripers which are great eating. But farrington is a good lake to get started because it’s not as big, and easier to figure out. I would use more than just a bobber and a worm. Check out some of the lures I used in the description! Tight lines!

      Can’t go wrong with small and medium (panfish-to-bass) inline spinners. One black, one white is enough to get started. The problem with live bait is you can’t reuse it for long and sunfish shred worms. I catch everything, including channel cats, on trout magnets (white) and mepps Aglia spinners and woorden’s rooster tails.

    • @FlyezBassing
      @FlyezBassing  3 роки тому

      You are absolutely right about that tarantulady. Those inline spinners work great as well.
