Never wanted or thought I'd ever buy an ebike was always happy with our two fold up bike's, well I succumbed and bought two 😂😂, now I'd never go back 😂😂, ten miles on the fold ups was hard work twenty miles on the ebikes is a breeze, our bikes are big 28inch wheels and 6,3inch in length but with a step through frame, also weigh 25kg with battery, 22.5kg removed so not the lightest, if I bought again I'd have a good look at a slightly smaller ebike even an e fold up, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.
hi stephen , i really couldn’t believe how good they are , i had a quick go of one last year but never thought i’d like it but i can see the benefits now , i think kirsty would like the step through frame one like yours , can’t wait til this weekend when we are away in the van and it will get the real rest ! thanks as always for watching and commenting mike 👍
Hi Mike. I agree with Tiddler Kelv's comment : I'm guessing that you'll be making good use of the e bike and it'll be visible in many of your upcoming chip runs. Eleglide did well choosing you to promote it. It was a good review too. All you need now to make your chip run perfect is a pannier, or a basket! Cheers.
thanks rob appreciate the nice comment and i will definitely be using it from now on , no more struggling coming back and eating it out of breath! cant wait to use it for the trial chippy run , next weekend , i think i’ll be using my back pack to put it in , inside a plastic bag first then in the back pack , will look into a pannier as a possibility 👍 thanks again for watching and commenting mike
Thanks mate. Im 56 used to do a lot of cycling when younger... Been considering an Ebike for a while...Quite hilly where i live so wanted a little assistance here and there. Great review.
As an owner, I did find the display (initially) was not working properly, after some investigation I noticed the control cable was being pulled out of the by the spiral binding, so after freeing it up and tie strapping the cable to the handlebars, I managed to get a useable control unit. I bought a rack from Decathlon [Bike Pannier Rack 500 26-28 Disc] which was easy to fit although it didn't have the two machine screw's fixing for the bottom. The handlebar is a bit long and I might shorten it in the future. The warranty card is a bit worrying as it seems some major components are only guaranteed for 6 months! It does sound like you are driving a milk float when going uphill. The front shock's are more springs than dampeners and can snap back with a jolt. Included in the stuff was a e-moped conversion which would have left you with an illegal bike. The brakes squeal all the time, I don't need the bell. The power is a bit erratic, be careful in mixed pedestrian/bike area's when you are on mode 4, as the power kick can catch you unawares, I just rotate the crank a couple of spins when I want a little power. I used my shock absorber seat post from my old bike as even with padded shorts its a bit of a hard ride.
funny you should mention mode 4 and getting caught out , same happened to me was lucky i was holding on its a bit of a jerk but other than that and squeaky brakes here too , all seems ok 2 months down the line for me , milk float is spot on too! a rather strange sound , how are your tyres & any signs of ware ?
No signs of wear , although I will change them to semi slicks to provide a smoother ride, British roads are not the smoothest and full of dents, cracks and ruts. I live in Poole, Dorset which is on several hills, I am always going up and down hill when out on a ride.
How’s it now??? I’m thinking of buying it….. (more because that’s all I can afford anyways). I’d like to use it for e bike delivery service, would you recommend I go ahead!!???
That was a great video. Well thought out and some excellent photography. The size reference to your work colleagues and Kirsty was spot on. The price point is also really good for an ebike. Thanks for sharing.

Great video mate! I recently got this bike myself a few days ago and it’s been really good. Only thing is that the throttle on the bike doesn’t seem to have the power to go up steep hills without paddling ? Do you seem to have any similar issues or is yours able to go up steep hills without pedalling?
hi i’ve not actually been up any hill yet , had the bike 3 weeks and live in the the flattest part of england , the bike has been great so far and if i go up any hills i’ll let you know how it performs , cheers 👍
