I have to say I'm staggered by the value. Yes most of the components are at the bottom end and the front fork doesn't look amazing but as an overall package for just over £500 it looks pretty incredible. If you can use this to replace car and public transport journeys I'm sure it would soon pay for itself and over a few years would have paid back many times what it cost in savings. Personally I would have preferred a rigid fork at the front and the money saved there to be put into a nicer rear derailleur. I also think a 2x setup would have been sufficient and easier to adjust and keep optimised. However its difficult to be critical for the price. Nicely reviewed too, however I would have liked more time discussing the components supplied and less on assembly.
Those washers have a not-so-nice nick. They are there to keep the wheels from falling off if the nuts come loose. Due to issues, i recommend NOT charging these batteries inside any buildings if you can do so. Too many fires in the recent past.
I got this same bike a fortnight ago, it doesn't help at all when going up hill. Also i received it with 3 bars on the battery and they are all still intact and I haven't charged it yet. Could it be am not using the electric mode correctly considering you mentioned the battery runs out pretty fast?
Quik question pal im shopping around im after 1 for wrk to and from and also going to wholsalers to pick materials up what bike would you recommend iv looked at these eleglides and himmiway it needs to have back bracket to carru stuff and put lock in etc cheers paul

Hello, I am an international student in England. I am thinking of buying this bike. I have added very hard money. Tell me the truth, is this bike good or not?
Can someone with this bike do me a HUGE favor and give me the default controller settings? Sadly Eleglide 'support' is a joke. + and - same time, then press power to cycle through all settings witthout changing them. I think P0.7 is where I went wrong, but since I am not sure I would really really appreciate someone giving me the factory default settings so I don't have to deal with 'support' again
@@YeYe-ui6zh thx for the offer, no worries eventually they gave me all the stock firmware settings. not that it still matters, bike got stolen shortly after btw, what I changed was the number of magnets setting, by mistake, so that messed up my speed readings. but as indicated, finally found out it was one... and then a week later even support replied 😂
@@YeYe-ui6zh also, for the money I would keep looking. quality was below what I would want especially that front fork was a cheap pos. It will take a 48v battery and do 40-45kmh
I love that you use the included tools when you practically have a bike workshop in your garage! :)
The amount of allen keys and tiny spanners I have laying around 😂
Good news is that the M1 Plus battery is compatible with the M1, so you can massively increase range for £199
You are now officially an O.B.O.E . Old Bloke On Ebike. Nice bike.
😂😂

hello, I'm interested in how long the battery lasts, how many kilometers can it travel
and whether it is an asphalt or off-road bike ?
About 7-8 miles full charge and full throttle the whole way

my forks are locked in both positions when i try to unlock them... any ideas?
What size are the frames on the 29 inch wheel size?
You spent 5 minutes of a 10 minute video unboxing and walking through assembly...
Would this be okay for my 3 mile commute in the morning?
Yeah, the battery would be good for 3 miles each way 👍🏽
Yes, it will be fined for a 3 miles commuute. It would be be ok for 3 miles each way 👍🏽
Does anyone know how to override the speed limiter on this bike?
Kinda a weird choice to have a 3x front mech
Those setups really work well with the strange freewheel type gears.
@Job91 but still. 3 by? Why?

@@MrJob91 But there's a motor in the rear wheel, you don't need range.
@@JoshuaBorrow Unless you run out of charge then you really appreciate a 3x setup.
Shout out Danson Park 🏞️
Is it okay to use them in rain?
Yeah, should be all good 👍🏼

How about throttle mode?
I was also curious about this? Amazon states it comes with a throttle meaning you don't have to pedal correct ?
