I got one of these 2 weeks ago on Amazon with the 29 inch wheels , there was a 10% discount code so only paid £642 which is a remarkable deal. On the latest ones they have also upgraded the battery to 15.6 ah. Easy to build and is a really nice bike for the money, no regrets here.
@markpulling12 cheers really want this bike but very paranoid with buying online , also you know if the screen is waterproof I cycle in all weather conditions to work and back , thanks for getting back to me too👌
Hi Mark, I bought a uk built Volt e bike. I ride with my mates off road and trails on their £4-6k bikes. Sure my bike isn’t as good but I do everything they do. I have not had a breakdown and I don’t really care about how rough I am with it. Bought second hand with 200 miles on for £800. The others bikes have needed dealer fixes and some reconditioned motors. Mine is Bafang rear hub motor. Bafang have been making e bikes 40 yrs. very reliable despite being chinese.
Hi yes Ive got bafang motors on other bikes and like you say they are very reliable good motors ...these e bikes are certainly getting cheaper now ...but still half decent Best wishes mark
I got this bike to use for food deliveries in Prague. Overall I’m happy after the first use. The only 2 negatives I would say would be the gears aren’t perfect and will need some adjustments. Also, the tires aren’t the best and I was skidding all over the place on the cobblestone but knowing that I can be more aware next time. Overall happy. If something changes I’ll be sure to update 🙂
Looks similar to the self build kits that I use on my Ebikes. The hub motors are very reliable, also just bought some Zerofit clothing after watching your review Mark.
@markpulling12 I seen on another review somewhere that the motor kicks in with pedal assist with half a turn of the pedal do you think that is true, I'm wonder if it can be turned off because I wouldn't want to have accidentally acceleration, also I'm not sure if I'm correct here but from what I have seen the pedal assist level also regulates the power delivered from throttle. Do you think it would be a case of just disconnecting the pedal assist but also would the pedal assist power levels still work without it connected to still be able to use level 5 for throttle?
I've done so much research to see if the M2 battery would work on M1 and only thing i can't find is M2 battery dimensions, wondering if you could answer my question as eleglide support avoided answering me basically saying buy the m2 if you want better battery 😂 in your opinion do think the M2 battery would work on M1?
Hi, I have a question. From what i've seen in your review and in other videos about this bike, there is a lot of "ghost pedaling" with this bike. I'm interested in buying it but the thing is, i want to exercise from time to time too, not just "pretend" like i'm pedaling, you know what i mean? So i want to ask, could I get a little bit of leg workout with this bike if i am to set the assist level to 1? And then play with the gears a little bit so that i can actually feel like i'm pedaling like on a non electric bike. Or is it simply not possible with this bike?
Hi Ian the charger is just a 2 A rate so quite low ...you could get a 4 A charger to half the time .... ideally don't leave battery unattended...but you don't have to watch them Cheers mark
Hi there isn't really a best one so to speak for me as they are all good in there own ways....but triumph Street triple rs 765 and KTM 890 duke are very good as are the ducatis Best wishes mark
They are very firm as standard try pushing down as hard as you can...or the left knob preload ? May be too firm ....sorry that's alli can think of Best wishes mark
