Miriam, you are brilliant, funny, so very talented.....not only in you art but your style of teaching. Thank you! That said, what I enjoy most is you bizarre sense of humor!
Well I’m very impressed! Way down deep to the shock and horror of poor Jasper! Lol! Seriously, you rock, even when you are painting rocks! You talent seem endless and your ability to draw the audience in captivating! Not to mention your an excellent teacher as well! Well done! 👍💐🎨
I go for “the Inks Of Our Lives”. Thank you Myriam, you make me feel that I can do this. I haven’t paint since my high school days, too long ago to let you know, I stopped because the teacher said that it looked like I was frosting a cake instead of painting. So I never tried again! You have inspired me too pick up a paint brush again. I love your joy of life and your sweet laugh!
I often jump ahead in videos where I am pretty sure I know what's going to happen in the time I skip, I can't do that with your videos, you always have a lot to divulge, so I'm afraid I'll miss something! Great videos, so informative!
I LOVE YOUR WORK & DETAILED INSTRUCTION!! I adore your personality and humor and you are by far, the most entertaining! Thank you for sharing all your gifts with us!
hi,ran across your site by accident,i am a abstract painter and i do not think i have it in me to take the time to do this , but i may try some day but i had to say i was impressed by your tutorial and your great sense of humor. thanks
I do like the border! I’m just getting into alcohol art. I would love to see more paintings like this, maybe a tropical beach, or a sunset. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness Myriam, you have outdone yourself!! This was an award winning video, worthy of all the accolades sent your way! I bless the day I discovered "Myriam's Nature'!!
Oh my gosh Carol ... thank you! I worked so hard on editing this series ... I hope people will enjoy it. 😊💕 I am so happy you happened upon my channel... you are a blessing!!
Love your videos. I could listen to you all day. Such a wonderful voice you have. Have you ever thought of doing voice acting? I can imagine you as an animated character. Keep making more videos, you are great at it.
You are so funny. I am working with Mandala art right now. I am intrigued with its beauty. I do miss my inks. I did take an old acrylic pour and played with ink over the top of it. The chemical reaction with a little help of a straw created a daisy-like flower in the middle and a muted bouquet of flowers behind it. I work at a nursing home and some of my pours are exhibited here and there. I got rid of my old attempts and sold them for cost to the nurses aids. They were so thrilled to get a piece for their home. Happy holidays to every one.
Cathie French Myriam, you know how to make my day! Your tutorials are always so informative and such a joy to listen to and watch. Your sense of humour is wonderful, you always make me smile if not laugh out loud. your laughter is so infectious. Don't ever stop making videos please. Have a great day.
You're right the trees def. got "birchy" you'll notice there is no T in that word! I was snickering and laughing again and had to explain that I was watching you. Love the finished product and yes to the border. OMG, had NO idea that Emilio was such a cad! The flying turtle cracked me up, again. Made me think of the pterodactyl and other monstrous creatures you've warned us about. Oh, yeah yes to the cloud too. At first I was thinking oh no....but after you did it, yup she was right, Again! Now I just need to get back to my studio and play.
Myriam, you are just hilarious🤗🤗😂. You will now never know whether your viewers are tuning in to watch your videos ,or just to find out more developments in the saga😂😂😂🤷♀️👏👏
I like the border. It makes the painting appear larger. It also makes it look clean and more gallery worthy. But that's just me. I really like how you show how you finish the back of your panels. I never finish the back of my panels with anything. It never occurred to me ... but I have always been unhappy with the sloppy backs. I just figure that once they're framed nobody will see that anyway. But finishing the backs IS important. Muy important! I have some really cool papers that I have been collecting over the years. I now know exactly how I'm going to use them! Yay! I always learn something from your vids. You da bess :-)
I’m so happy to hear this helped Kacy! I have no idea why every single company who makes panels feels the need to splash their big logos on the backs. Many people dismiss panels as a viable art surface but I think they have lots of wonderful uses. I hope you have fun “embellishing” your backs! It sounds like you have awesome supplies to do it. 😊💕
Just love your fun tutorials, I like the border, it gives the painting a crisp look. Your voice is great and your infectious laugh makes me smile! Brilliant painting!
Myriam your a hoot to say the least 🤣 I absolutely love your videos and feel as if I could actually create a pretty piece myself! I would love to see many more landscapes... please. 💕
I actually love how you did the difference with the grassy part running into the sandy part running into the fallen leaves. It honestly looks more realistic that way. Nature is perfectly imperfect and a painting is much more enjoyable to the eye if you run across something unexpected and you have to stop and take that in. What that sandy area reminds me of.. it's the beaten down to no grass grows area where wild animals come to drink in the pond. They have trampled it down and all there is is sand.
Another wonderful time was had by all! Thank you Myriam, for so much valuable information in such a delightful, entertaining way. Looking forward to more updates on “As The Ink Flows” I’ve laughed so hard and had such a good time👍🏻👍🏻
You are so generous with your time and your talents, I would like to thank you. This is unbelievably gorgeous!! I Still can't believe that it was done with alcohol inks, but, it was!!! Thank you.
Watched your last one on this as I was working on sorting out some of my decals. I wish I had a more artistic eye. The lack if it has led to crushing defeat as a photographer, but I’m an OK RN. SO wish I could meet you, but will have to be happy to “visit” wish you here. I’m always so impressed and happy to have found your channel. You never fail to make me smile. Thank you!
I love the one with the border! Thanks you for sharing. Love the drama to “Inks of your lives”, too funny, this is what makes your video’s so fun to watch!!
I am always empowered when I have watched 1, or 2 or 3 of your videos. I know what I am going to do now for the rest of the week, thank you :)) Love n big hugs as always Elly xx
This was so much fun! You girls have me rolling! Laughing out loud! This was really informative and really gives me hope that I may be able to do something like this! Like I said in part one. I have some shopping to do. 🤑🤗🤔🤗 I defiantly want to see as much as I can of any and all work you do! It’s so nice to have someone show you how you do it. Your talent is amazing! I’m going to be watching this series a few more times! Signed me, Blessed by you!
Annette... you literally bring me to tears sometimes! Your comments lift me up so much I feel I can do most anything! Thank you for believing in me, for being an amazing patron and for now being a friend! Honestly, I’m the one who gets blessed by you! 😘💕
You're hilarious! I can't wait to try this technique. My husband just peaked in on the video and said WOW she's talented and really knows her medium. Keep the videos coming!
Your video tutorials are just awesome. They are so informative; you really explain everything you are doing so well. Plus you crack me up! You're sooooo funny. Thanks you so much for sharing.
You are amazing. Just love the art you do....no matter what medium you are into on the day...and I have tears running down my face from the stories you tell. The animation you add to these videos cracks me up as well. Now back to the art..........just loved this picture and much preferred it framed with the border. I have watched a few of your alcohol ink paintings and now I feel that it's time to break out and buy some and get started....I'm a tad slow on the uptake of things sometimes....but I'm sure with your help (the videos) I CAN DO THIS. You are such an inspiration. Hanging out for the next instalment.....of your alcohol ink masterpieces, and the serial. Regards Jude
Before beginning your painting spay a little of your mat finish at the edges of your masking tape to seal it. This will save you from all the make up work. I learned that trick from building and painting model aircraft.
Myriam thank you. im still very new to alcohol ink but have had lots of fun so far. i have spent a few nights relaxing watching your videos so happy to have found you. my mum has taken up watercolour and kindly famed some for my house, i hope to achieve an inked piece good enough for her to hang sometime soon. Again thank you and i lookforward to move videos
I like the border, but both versions are good. Your story was hilarious! You should have an ongoing You Tube Opera at the end of every video. It will keep your viewers watching until the very end...but then again, I'm sure we all watch to the very end anyway. If they give out Emmys or Tonys or some kind of awards for You Tube, you should win every category! (Oh, and Daytime Emmys for your saga.)
Thank you ever so much Laura! I get a bit kooky at times... I’m so happy it got you chuckling! I love the ongoing series idea... I was fantasizing about it a bit myself. I’d hate to scare people off though 😂🤣. When they give out awards for awesome viewers, I will positively nominate you! 😊💕
absolutely fabulous! always wondered how alcohol inks would look on canvas. Now I know, and will be giving it a go. I like the boarder as, I feel, it makes the painting stand out more, somewhat like a mat around a watercolor painting. your a wonderful teacher, Myriam. thank you!!

Thank you! I have learned so much by watching this series of videos. I definitely like the border with the painting rather than not. Looks like a mat and like it in the frame.
Myriam, I don’t know what I enjoyed more. The tutorial or all your funny comments and story. Thank you so much. I will be looking forward to more of both. Cheers Marie ‘downunder ‘
The updates at the end of the video make watching doubly worth the time invested! Love, love, love your creative storytelling - it's right up my alley! And I love your art tutorial too! 😍
First of all thank you for this fun Tutorial, Myriam. I definitely will save it for later... when I might need a good laugh ;) Adding the cloud and the flying turtle with its friends was a great idea. One of them might be a bat ;) I absolutely love the story at the end. Maybe we will hear more about this crazy family... lol. Your voice is a gift. Have you ever thought about recording audible books? I would buy them all ;)
It was entirely my pleasure! It’s so funny, before this channel I never liked my voice much but viewers have turned me around and now I’m totally ok with it! Self-esteem therapy via UA-cam... who knew 🤣😁😂. Thank you ever so much for your continued kind and fun comments! 😊💕
I haven't tried it yet but washi tape is suppose to leave crisp clean lines with no leaks. You are so creative. I very much enjoyed the video and the story, oh the story. You are hilarious. My cheeks hurt from laughing. Thank you for sharing and brightening my day.
OMG.......you are hysterical!!!! My laugh for the day AND a great video on using the alcohol inks to "Paint"! WOW Thanks!

love your painting and your humour x
Great series of videos...you make It look easy and I love your entertaining style!
I like the border, but both versions are good. Your story was hilarious! You should have an ongoing You Tube Opera at the end of every video. It will keep your viewers watching until the very end...but then again, I'm sure we all watch to the very end anyway. Your art is amazing, your explanations are detailed and easily understood, and your presentation is so entertaining. If they give out Emmys or Tonys or some kind of awards for You Tube, you should win every category! (Oh, and Daytime Emmys for your saga.)
P.S. to all those people who commented on your voice: I agree! I really enjoy the sound of your voice. Is there an award for that?
Thank you ever so much Laura! I get a bit kooky at times... I’m so happy it got you chuckling! I love the ongoing series idea... I was fantasizing about it a bit myself. I’d hate to scare people off though 😂🤣.
When they give out awards for awesome viewers, I will positively nominate you! 😊💕
This is exactly what I was looking for! How to use the inks on canvas. Thank you! This is beautiful and inspiring.
It is so fun to listen to you.
Oh thank you sooo much Lori! I’m so happy this was useful! 😊💕
Beautiful piece, and love your crazy story!!! LOL
absolutely fabulous! always wondered how alcohol inks would look on canvas. Now I know, and will be giving it a go. I like the boarder as, I feel, it makes the painting stand out more, somewhat like a mat around a watercolor painting. your a wonderful teacher, Myriam. thank you!!
Oh Joanne... thank you so much for this kindness and I just saw your amazing gift! That was remarkably generous of you and I am truly truly grateful! Viewers like you make this channel such a joy!

You are great teacher! I really enjoy your videos.
LOVE your videos!!! I am new to alcohol inks and I have learned SO much from your videos, THANK YOU!
I live in Australia and don't know Fall so that greenery is just fine with me! LOL
You can use acrylic paint markers to fix the borders. I recommend Molotov or Montana acrylic paint markers because they're refillable and they're of a higher quality than some others. I'm primarily an abstract acrylic painter and use acrylic paint pens a lot.
You did yourself proud on this one Myriam. I love mountains and I use Krylon Kamar Varnish also, after trial and error on bleeds from the wrong finish. I also love your mellow voice as it keeps me involved in every aspect of your work. Thanks again
Many thanks for that kind and thoughtful comment Edith... I truly appreciate it! 😊💕
Thank you! I have learned so much by watching this series of videos. I definitely like the border with the painting rather than not. Looks like a mat and like it in the frame.
