Hi Courtney! The story of the thumbnail is nothing special really. It was something I did for fun back when I was doing acrylic pouring videos and making acrylic skins with them. Since I was putting the skins on ornaments, bottles, etc. one day I put a piece on a nail... I chose the thumb for its size, and the left one because I’m left-handed. "Curdly and clumpy... kinda weird." If that doesn't sum up 2020, I don't know what does! LOL! I love the disposable micro brushes and have only seen them in the cosmetics field - never in the art field! Brilliant tip! (pun intended! hehe!) Really love your execution on these demos, and especially your narrative throughout... explaining how the alcohol interacts. So much experience in your words! And honestly, looking at your palette to the side... it's a work of art, on its own! What I love best, is when you crack yourself up, like with adding the tongue! So love them both. My card decorating this year was to make a sheet of all red and gold, cut them into ornament shapes, cut out and mount on a plain white card. Draw a sketchy pine branch behind it and add a bow. Looks great.

Hi Joanne... Yes... if I use an alcohol image for a card, I would just use double stick tape to hold the Grafix to the card... glue would be fine too. As for, Kamar that’s really up to you for a card. The inks won’t rub off... they’re really quite stable on that surface. Using the Kamar will make the entire image a bit shiny so that can be a design choice. Thank you for your kind words! Happy holidays to you and yours! 😊💕

Thank you so much for this. Painting objects with alcohol inks has never interested me until I saw this video. I usually make abstract art with alcohol inks, allowing it to flow or gently guide with air or moving the substrate around, but I may have to try your technique. 😄 Thank you again for sharing your technique. ❤️

Hey Myriam, I just started watching your videos - and playing with alcohol inks. I am trying to buy all my supplies from your lists and some of the links to amazon don't follow through to the product and simply give me a page that says, 'this page cannot be found.' I need some good quality needle-tip small squirt bottles. I bought some and they are worthless and just dribble lots of drops without any control. I was also trying to get some of the silicone soft tattoo ink containers - no link. Could you help me with this stuff? I would REALLY appreciate it! You are AWESOME and I'm so excited to get into this and try some of your techniques! I'm watching as many of your videos as is humanly possible!! Thanks!
