This is really amazing. I would not have suspected this was a green screen shot composited over CGI. I don't think most people would, because it's completely possible that she's sitting on a real dock, maybe in a park, but it's also so photorealistic. Your use of depth of field with trees in the background really sells it.
I think when I'm working on scenes, I tend to get bogged down with modeling realistic details, when sometimes it's not required.

You’re super talented bro. I’m so overwhelmed to learn blender & apply vfx on my short movies 😂 but i really can’t understand if it’s worth. For example adding gun muzzle flash, 3d bullets, placing moving objects, environments, but really don’t know if its worth putting time and effort to learn it. Still can’t visualize the possibilities and limitation of blender as vfx/cgi software for short films. 👍🏻

I have to be honest here as impressive as this clearly is, it's still obvious it's not a real place. However we are definitely getting there. This level of CG environment creation would have been out of reach of us mere mortals just 5 years ago never mind 10 or 20. It does have a certain quality where if you were to make a movie like this it would be cool as the aesthetic is like the 300 movie or Spartacus Blood and Sand, in my opinion.

Where do you buy your green screen material. Also, how much green screen material should I buy and how big should it be if I want to cover a wall and floor and some spare cloth to cover objects that the people can interact with?
