I actually prefer the exterior styling over the Peugeot, it's calmer. The inclusion of 'actual buttons' to the interior and the conventional design will likely attract first-time EV owners.

I prefer the Corsa exterior which is why i have a e-Corsa, less like a tarts handbag and promising lots of go when itis really just show.
It all is about function over style as i say in Scotland, it actually handles better than a e-208.
As a roadtester / reviewer ? did you check and set the tyre pressures on the e-208 and on the e-Corsa, and what were the pressures. With B the brakes are hardly needed and at slow speeds the brakes could put you through the windscreen.
Fat guys like me do not need the sports seats, they need the Corsa seats with heating and not light colours that already look dirty on e-208's as ex demonstrators. I can get over 220 miles driving over the Cairngorm roads, a93, a939, but then that is getting regen and hardly ever touching the brakes. As the car is well suited to doing.
That is great range you are getting George. I only had the car for a week, so I can only comment on what I got from it. I personally think that any EV that achieves over 200 miles is a good result, so interesting to hear from an owner's perspective.
Working my way through all the older reviews on a dreary sunday afternoon, but really enjoyable.

The visible painted metal on the interior doorframes adds to the dreich feel.
Locally the Elite Nav Corsa e can be picked up pre-registered for £25k which makes it a much more competitive option these days.
At that price, then it is a different situation. At £30k, the car is just a little bit too expensive compared to what else is available.
Don't no why the reviewer keeps conplain about the dashboard
I thinks it is very nice.
It is a high price on paper, but I'm yet to see any cheap lease deals etc on the 208. The list price doesn't really matter in modern terms as most car buyers either PCP or Lease and the deals so far are a lot better on the Corsa. Of course if you're buying the car outright then the 208 is better value for money but I don't know anyone that owns their new car outright.
Only the Skoda e-Citigo is currently deleted in the UK after 400 were imported. Not seen any announcement on the SEAT Mii electric or VW eUp! being discontinued, maybe the reviewer / motor trade insider can confirm, ? are all 3 being deleted for sale in the UK?
They’re not being built and ordering hasn’t been available for months anywhere
@@jiminholland1144 Are you talking about the Citigo? Because production started again on the Mii Electric and the e-Up!
What's the visibility like from inside the car? Is the driving position quite low down compared to the Leaf for example?
It’s ok, but keep in mind it’s a smaller car than the Leaf. The Nissan is more Astra sized. You get a good range of seat adjustment in the Corsa though. I’m driving the updated one next week.

Corsa is in September Europe's best-selling car in the class, sold 6289 more than 208... how about that...
That is a great result for Vauxhall/Opel, and its deserved as its a good car. But in our opinion, the 208 is a better drive, and offers better for the same money.
@@AutoEV To be completely honest,...that assessment is probably not fully thought out... Because most others are not impressed with the driving characteristics of the 208.
And 208 has poorer crash safety for the front passengers according to test results from EuroNcap.
The 208 has a shorter range than the Corsa according to tests in Norway.
And a totally useless instrumentation and also 208 has less space in the front seat caused by the panel and console.
There are quite serious shortcomings you have to weigh in - and you do not... therefore your picture will be wrong.
208 is actually not better based on facts.
@@Djeseret I respectfully disagree, and many people do not buy cars based on fact, but on what they feel and like about a car. We base our opinions (and remember, that's what they are, our opinions) on how we find the car. And based upon driving the cars over the time we have them, the 208 remains our car of choice between the two. You are, of course, entitled to disagree. It is our opinion that one car is better than the other, and that is what we report on. We evaluate cars, over a period of time, and we transcribe what we think of those cars. Others may choose to disagree, and that is perfectly acceptable, and within their rights. We live in a democratic society where free speech is allowed, and whilst the facts may state what they do, that does not mean we won't state our preference, which is what we do with every road test. This has been our ethos since we started, and will be as long as we continue to do so. You may prefer the colour green to my blue. Does that make you factually wrong? Just like it is my preference to rate the Peugeot e208 and Renault Zoe above the Vauxhall Corsa irrespective of any sales figures, or other people's opinions on how it drives. You get a Blue or Orange one as the Demonstrators & UK Media cars so that they are getting spotted. So there are all the colours available that are not these colours, and you an have without the black roof. But Vloggers / Blaggers get stuck with what they get a loan of obviously.....
And I mention the fact that I think it looks better in the monotone, more sophisticated colours. I like the style of the car, I just don't think it suits this duotone, bright colour scheme. Not a lot of cars do in fairness.

Great review handsome car although 208 prettier. But ID3 and 500E a threat.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can carry a bike with the Corsa, 208 & ID.3, but not something you will do with the 500E. Unless inside the car, folded or wheels off maybe.
Bland, and yeh 10 inch screen but the satnav is in a tiny rectangle lol

Simple really, open a bonnet and look, the car is Front Wheel Drive and under the bonnet is the motor, controller, 12v battery, brake servo and so much more like washer bottle, and the car is not that big actually.
I don't like the new Corsa compared to the 2015 model at all. As you say the design is more mature but they've tried to make it look young. The interior is worse than the old model (No heated windscreen in any options), fiddly buttons and over complicated design. To me VX/Opel seemed to have rushed to change it over to the PSA platform rather than using it as a chance to improve from the previous generation.
You pay a lot a mouth for pcp and a lot more on the total price at the end
