I am so glad I waited for the release of the A9+. Almost bought the A8 months ago. But I got news about the A9+ coming, so I waited for it. A bigger screen, snapdragon processor, pogo pins for a keyboard accessory, and even dex. I bought the wifi only model, 8gb/128gb, which is about $275 in my country (Philippines).
i used to have the 32/3 version of tab A8 and it was insanely painful to use. normal multitasking like running brower and the note app using the split screen feature caused my tablet to literally freeze. now i'm using the tab a9+128/8 version and imo it's worth the updrade
I'm still using tab a8 3/32 and it was very painfull on oneui 3, i get updated to one ui 4 and it still painfull to use in multitasking, but now it much faster in single apps using. On oneui 3, I waited about 10 seconds because after unlocking, it hung tightly on. UI on oneui4 is much smoother, but still laggy. On oneui3 i almost didn't use this tablet because it was unreal to use, but now it's ok. After the update, it became a good tablet for watching UA-cam, reading books, and browsing.
Problem with a8 was processor that's why I didn't upgrade I have a7 which is smooth now I have a9 plus it's amazing with snapdragon and 8 gb ram and offcourse dex it has become my work horse
I JUST got my A8 64GB/4GB ram for $60 brand new and sealed on Facebook marketplace and I’m loving it for what it is. It’s excellent for streaming, excellent for mail and browsing. UA-cam works great, and every game I’ve played on it works surprisingly well, including PubG, COD Mobile, Asphalt 9, Real Racing 3 and more. My A8 is L1 so not sure if the L1 only went to the 4GB models but mine can play HD on Netflix. All in all, for $60 my A8 was a steal. The A9 looks nice though. I’ll wait in the coming years for what’s coming in the future A models until I upgrade again. The A8 also gets Android 14 in February. 🎉
You can mirror the phone to any modern smart tv. Those without a smart tv can get a Chromecast for 40 bucks, plug it in the tv and mirror the tablet on the tv that way. I also use my Tab9+ as a third monitor on my pc. So while it is true that the usb-c port does not give an image output, that does not mean the Tab9+ cant be connected to bigger screens wirelessly.
Honestly only want a tablet for watching things on. Used the A9+ in a store and think the display still looks a better than the one in the A8 I had. The A8 had a blue tinge and colours looked extremely muted. The A9+ has a display that is a little more vibrant with that blue tinge mostly gone.

I was hoping the new A9+ would have a higher pixel density than the A8 but it's a downgrade. My tab A 10.1 from 2016 has a higher pixel density and the s6 lite has the same but i don't like the 5x3 aspect ratio. May have to consider the s9fe but that is a big jump in price . Decisions decisions. Thanks for another great review.
@@quchi7232 I'm quite happy with my purchase. Tab A9+ is good enough for me (display and processor are much better from what you get in Tab A8, for instance). I like it a lot and will enjoy it for media consumption, web browsing and a little bit of productivity (Dex is a plus).
You won't notice the difference honestly. The A9+ has much better color reproduction than the A8 or the A 10.1 BOTH the A9+ & S9 FE have 16:10 aspect ratio. So I'm not sure you know what your talking about as ALL 11" Samsung tablets have the same aspect ratio. The A9+ is FASTER than the S6 Lite since it has twice the ram
thats the thing about samsung, they make something for every price, so the more you pay, they better they are. You could try the tab S8 or S9 FE to see if you like those better
I've heard about "buy nice or buy twice". I was eyeing the S7 FE but the fact that it's not gonna be updated anymore is off-putting. Is the A9+ good enough? I wanna take notes with an s pen and use Dex
I also have the a8 2019 tablet, I'm thinking of changing it to the a9+, mainly because of the charging port, my tablet has eaten up all the chargers and I've already had a problem charging and also because of the fluidity and because of how small it is, I want a bigger tablet to be able to do tasks and consume content 😼💗
i just upgrading from samsung galaxy tab A 10.1 2019 to larger samsung galaxy tab A9 plus 128 gb and gladly to say im so much happy for this upgrading in a larger screen no regret just buy here in Taiwan 🇼🇸🇼🇸😍😍 for 11,900$ NTD thanks for this review after 4 years i change it to larger screen n big storage ❤❤😊
Yes. It still uses TFT LCD display, but now it refreshes at 90 Hz, which is a step up from the Tab A8's 60 Hz. It is also largerand you can play videos at Full HD when streaning at Netflix or Prime Video.
@@FishBeeProductions 64GB version. Before purchasing it I searched about it and it said the tablet itself got L1 regardless of the storage, if what you say it's true I'm glad I grabbed the bigger one

Do you have any comments about the display, is it good or the color accuracy isn't that great?
@@PHINN.I have tab A9+, I won't lie but it's freaking good and yes the display is also so good.
Is it bad to use magnet cases with this tab?

Honestly I had the A8 and for what you paid you got a good deal yet it's a very slow tablet considering it's made by Samsung
@@charlesbaxter7405 wdym slow, just hard factory reset it and its fast as lightning

Yes, the colours are awful on Tab 8.
With Tab A8 seems the sound warmer, not so metallic, better.
A9+ is a great tablet. Got mine 10 days ago
Thanks for this! Considering a tablet but don't want to spend too much. What was the stylus you were using?
Generic capacitive stylus from Amazon

Yes, I also felt so happy with my firs tablet A10.1. The A8 is just awful !
To read and study... Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus, Lenovo Tab M9 Tablet or Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which one do you choose?
A9 plus with dex and rich software
But if you want to writes notes etc. for study on your tablet get the s6 lite. S6 lite also has dex mode.

YES!
Wow 2 Generation at the Sametime!!! Really Good Affordable Tablets!!! 👍🏻😲👍🏻
I have Tab A8 atm with 4gigs ram and 64gb, i think i'm good with it for at least 1 more year?
Samsung used to put IPS on their A-line tablets instead of TFT about 6 years ago. I wonder why they stopped doing that? 🤔
bigger profit i would guess
Because is cheaper
I have the a8, and it is so laggy that just navigating around is painful. Im not sure if I want to get the a9+ the a8 left a bad taste

I would say if you get the 8gb/128gb you should be good. You can multitask really easily and with dex the transtion is seemless
After having had this deception with A8 last year, I bought an OUKITEL and it is the best of the best ! (Sound, colours...just everything)
Here in Brazil there is only the A9 Plus version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage
