Got mine this year and I'm pretty much satisfied with it. Slotted an SD card and it's now my main media device. Was gonna get an S tablet but knowing I won't be able to utilize all its features, this budget tablet is enough. Just hope they release a better 8 inch tablet next year.
My S9 FE+ is still my personal favorite. However, as you know, I am not a gamer. I just consume content and occasionally type an email or two or a comment to my favorite reviewer! :)
Someone please cover the terrible lag… Since OneUi 6.1 the Tab A9+ has been a nightmare to use It drops frames when doing basically anything. Samsung has not given a statement and Samsung refuses to even acknowledge the fans complaining on the forums about this. Samsung has terrible customer support and doesn’t care about their users
la razon por la cual cancele mi pedido de amazon ... muchos comentarios donde hay lag en la actualizacion de 6.1 .. mejor esperare a una s10 o que baje mas de precio una s9+
@KingC89hi! I’m planning to buy this tablet, but kinda scared because of these talks about the 6.1 update. What’s your experience with the tablet? Your opinion would be much appreciated ☺️
I have got this A9+ tablet(4G Ram version) running on the latest firmware OneUI 6.1. Very laggy, very slow. Clicking an app, even switching between apps will take 3s. Not usable in my case. Samsung forum had many reporting cases but no solution up to Nov 2024. Very disappointing.
i heard you shouldn't update it to OneUI 6.1 especially when you have a lower ram, because it is really laggy and its irreversible. many suggest to get the 8 one.
I've bought this tablet a little over than one month ago, for average usage such as university, personal projects, media and etc, has been amazing. The only problem in my opinion is the usb-c port, I wouldn't mind to pay a couple more euros to get the possibility to connect an external screen. The battery is insanely good, definitely a plus I was not expecting!
@@nisha13139 Yeah, by bluetooth. I bought a case with keyboard on amazon for 20€, works perfectly and I use it for university stuff too, battery life is amazing
if you dont use the tablet for serious drawing (tilt, pressure, palm rejection, etc) then get the a9plus (8gig128 gig). you'l have change to get universal stylus, micro sd , portable ssd (to get extra storage beyond sd card), case, bluetooth keyboard, and other things you might need - thats what i get. planning on getting s9 plus aswell so i can draw and play ps2 racing with good upper setting. i can play gran turismo in my a9 plus but with lower setting.
The only way of getting one is to buy the International Model from a third party seller. While yes it runs United Arab Emirates firmware instead of United States firmware, everything seems to work fine for using it in the United States.
Tbh I play COD mobile on this tablet and it doesn't heat up unless I charge it while playing. I also get an average of 5-6 hrs of heavy continuous use on this tablet.
Only one inferior wifi. No mimo wifi. My wife bought it for me and I'll make it work. Otherwise everything seems to be ok with it. Don't turn it completely off as it takes forever to turn on. Then it takes an additional 3 minutes for it to not be buggy and stuttering. Once up and warmed up it's ok. Bluetooth isn't discoverable to Wiim pro unfortunately. I tried and treid and tried. Unplug, replug, press both wiim bt and Samsung bt and over and over again. Sigh.
If not for gaming high or even low, what’s the purpose of tablets that a smartphone couldn’t do? New smartphone’s generation provide up to 6.8 inch OLED screens with powerful processors and goodies that tablets don’t have. Just in case I’ve tried many tablets yet still can’t find a reason not to use my smartphone instead…
Reading. I personally bought a new 8" tablet for reading magazines. It's better value for the price than a color e-ink tablet for reading. A phone would be too small to read comfortably. Also a phone is already used for TOO MANY things. It's a luxury to have a separate device dedicated for few purposes.
It's unusable with a screen protector. Increased sensitivity and still doesn't recognize my touch. Have always had Samsung tablets, and this one is the worst. Returning it.
I have this tablet it works great Ivan Kam
Agreed 100%
Picked up the 8gb version, refurbished in uk for £135. A steal, and compares very favourably with my S tablets.

Do the SD card expand to 1TB? I plan on getting the 128gb 8ram version for Black Friday hopefully under $200
@MoneyAlwaysReady yep, it can support micro SD up-to 1TB.

@KingC89 u use 60hz or 90hz ?
90hz is causing the lag but 60hz is fine
@KingC89 are u sure u are in one ui 6.1 ? Also when did you purchase this device ?

Good job as usual
Thanks for the review!
Does it have Dex?
Yes
The usb-c port is 2.0 and do not have video out. A9+ has Dex but cannot use with external monitor.
4&64 lagging issue or not
i think any device with 4gb of ram will handle regular stuffs(mild gaming & media consumption) but I suggest 8gb version if possible.
I needed a good Kids Tablet. This looks great.
I didn't receive any update on samsung tap a9 plus its been a year why 😢

dedicated stylus is a game changer, dont listen to them 😊
S9 FE
They have dex, but can we wirelessly project to another screen?
For how many versions of Android will Samsung support? Not security but actual OS updates.
Up until android 16 accroding to official samsung statement and 4 yrs of security updates
The Galaxy Tab A10 model should be about to go on sale in the next few months, or not, it's just rumors.
They really should've released the regular A9, 8GB/128GB, in the U.S.

@Greidaon I have the Tab A7 Lite and I only use it for watching UA-cam on a slightly bigger screen than my phone.
You can add a micro sd card to expand the storage
@@________hehe_______754 That doesn't affect the amount of RAM you have.
Would you test the draftkings app and see if it works with this tablet?
