Out of the six videos that I've watched, this is the only one that didn't piss me off. No 30 minute monologue, Good lighting, steady camera, straight to the point and left links. Subscribed.
Please continue to make these videos, you are keeping the ZJ community going with these! I know you recently shifted your channel focus but please add a repair video every once in a while if possible. Much love!
Probably one of the best, clearest video. On point, no bs.
Keep making these videos.
Honestly some of the most straightforward and well done jeep videos on youtube. Well done!
Thank you
I'm only 1:52 into this video and I stopped it to give a thumbs-up, subscribe and comment. Your clear and simple style is a pleasure to follow compared to the many rambling and confused how-to videos out there. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this!
Whatever you do, NEVER stop making the videos the way you do, PERFECT! What's the story with the A/C compressor?
Thanks big bro. I plan on replacing the A.C compressor with an on board air unit eventually. I made sure I got the A.C working in my wifes Jeep, but thats something I can personally live without
@@barricadegarage5361 what's onboard air?
@@fsb_-bf3th its an actual air compressor that can be used for filling up tires or running air tools
@@barricadegarage5361 ooooh okay. Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I'm sitting in a McDonald's parking lot right now because my pulley came off my ps pump in the drive through, called an uber to take my son and girlfriend home while I wait for the temp to go down and I'm gonna attempt to do this job myself tomorrow. Thank you for this awesome informative video on doing this job! Gonna try to limp this 96 zj home hopefully after it cools down in 30 to 45 minutes
@@fsb_-bf3th your more than capable of getting the job done no problem. It easy and thanks for watching. Get home safe and let me know how it goes
Another great video, you've been a big help in keeping my ZJ running...
your my first choice when I need to fix something on my 98 zj 5.9 your vids are clear and easy to follow...I love the fact you show the size of sockets or type of tools...I gather all the tools before I even start the job...thanks man...I hope you keep your jeep as long as I do...which will be until I'm 6ft under
You have the best videos on you tube hands down. They are thorough and easy to follow. The best part is that you always show problems as they arise, and what you did to solve them. I probably wouldn’t have my Jeep if it weren’t for these videos. Huge thanks to you.
Thank you. This helped me change up my power steering pump in my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The content was a great help.
Your video edit is excellent.
Keep up the great work.
Videos are excellent and easy to follow. I like the way you are straight forward and provide socket sizes etc. Thank you. The beast is my wife's and she does not like the new SUV's. So we are restoring her '96 piece by piece. Pump started leaking and I am replacing it today. 274,000 miles.
Best most concise & specific video on this, nice Work (Beautiful Jeep) done in the fraction of the time as others.
I have a 97 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo. Your videos have been extremely helpful. Thank you keep up the good work.
Man this has got to be one of the best well described videos I've ever seen. Thank you!!
Wow a no nonsense video. Pure gold. I didn’t have the socket wrench set so i used the extension wrench from my plumbing supply box. But i did end up ordering the wrench set anyway for the next project. Thanks again.
No problems, only solutions 😎 good stuff BG
Awesome vid.
Makes life easier the way you explain every detail as you do your thing.
Thanks again 😃
Hey Barricade, Thanks for this very helpful video. I was watching it, not to change the pump, but to replace the pump bracket. ZJ's are known to have a problem with this. I ordered up and aluminum pump mount and sure enough, the factory one was cracked completely in one spot and 90% across in a second spot. Everyone with a ZJ should be checking this! It's an easy repair.
Thank you! You're the friggin man. Killer videos. I have a '97 ZJ 4.0 and I've changed the power steering pump and steering gear -and other stuff- with your help. Keep making ZJ videos they rock!!!
you've got me fixing all kinds of stuff. You got me through my ball joints (thank you), I'm going to tackle this turd today. Thanks for taking your time to school the DIY people like myself. Very much appreciated
(Edit)
Worked exactly as you described minus my tensioner being bolt driven. Helped me a ton again. Thanks man!
Bruh this is the most crazy thing I bought a ZJ two weeks who and the power steering pump just went out yesterday. Thanks for helping me keep my ZJ together
No problem.
Great video. Perfectly done and very clear to understand. Good work.
Good video always keeping busy with our’s zj’s.

So far you're the only black mechanic I have saved in library. Cuz I like you.
Your Jeep is still going to be better and better and even better than ....my jeep:-). rgs from Poland. We have much good 'ol ZJ's (ZG) here!
Thank you for sharing this. You are very professional and very thorough. 👍👍👍
I have a 98 ZJ that I am always working on. Your videos are the best! I especially appreciate that you say what tools to use and torque specs. Thanks!
Nice video, very clear and informative. Hope you make some more
Thank you for making this video. I will be doing mine tomorrow on my 96 GC
Dude! Nice video. Very well done and informative. Seriously one of the best I've seen. I just subscribed! Stay well!
I know its the same pump for a viper, so this is super helpful. THANK YOU!
Yo, thank you so much man. You speak so clearly. And really know what to are doing downto telling us the wrench size. New subscriber here.
Awesome video bro. I had paid a mechanic I know to change mine out but it's now leaking. I tried to get him to come down and check it out and he is ghosting me. I will pull it all apart this weekend and find out where the leak is coming from. I checked out all the hose and that's not it so I'm pretty sure he didn't put the O ring back on the new one. Thanks to you I will be able to do all this myself. I have a 96 5.2 with 305k miles and I've done pretty much all the maintenance since it had 60k miles on it. I didn't have time and this is why I payed someone to work on it but I've learned my lesson lol.
Wow you’re the best. I have a 98 5.2 that is my baby. It’s mint. I put a 5.9 interior in it. Anyway I’m trying to keep it as long as I can and I just discovered your videos because I have to do the power steering pump. This is the best tutorial video I’ve seen on anything. Just perfect. Looking forward to using your others if need be too. Already am planning to do your tranny service. Hello from Canada !!
excellent video my sons power steering pump went on his jeep 2003 grand cherokee and i guess we are going to change it out thanks for great instructions
Top notch video Barricade! Thanks so much!
Excellent video sir !!! keep up the good work!!!
I broke my PS bracket by over tightening the mounting bolts after my PS pump went out. I went with a similar aluminum bracket to replace it. It was so beautiful it was a shame to hide it with the PS pump, lol.
Great vid as always!
Hi Kyle,
I like to see owners of the jgc keep them running. I recently bought the bracket on eBay. I do not think you will get it elsewhere. Good luck
Saludos desde Tijuana BC México brother muy buenos videos y muy buena in formación
Really clear instructions! Thanks.
Very nice job mechanics dream you explain everything perfect and made it look easy thank you very much for your wisdom and time
I like that you mention bolts sizes and tools. You are wassup!

Great Video!! Just what I needed so I can replace mine soon Thanks so much information is valuable to me
Amazing video really well explained🎉🎉🎉
The way you do and explain things on your other Jeep has helped me a great deal and helped me find and fix a vacuum leak wiring issues but I am dealing with two other things currently once I found the vacuum leak and fixed the power steering pump on my 07 Jeep commander is making a weird noise and the belt noise also that’s one problem the other problem is the commander keeps going through ac compressors I’m on my third and can’t seem to figure out why any help would be greattappreciated
Great video man!
Great video. This helps me out a lot.
Great videos! I don't see the steering pump pulley replacement video in the description that you mentioned. Is it anywhere else on your channel? Thanks!
Excellent video 👍🏼
Thanks to share your knowledge, regards from Chile
Great video my guy!!!! Saved me few hundred bucks!!!
Awesome! Do you know if the otc 4530 fits for the 4.0 as well? Best
Wonderful video I also suggest getting that return radiator hose out of the way
Great video as always, what is the part # for the bypass serpentine belt that bypass the A/C
Great video!! Life saver.
Thanks man,

Great EZ video. Thank you.
amazing friend !! thanks to your videos I can do maintenance on my zj v8 ❤/ increíble amigo!!! Gracoas a tus videos puedo hacer mantenimiento a mi zj v8 ❤.
Saludos desde Bilbao
Good video, but why don't you have your AC hooked up? Which belt do you get to do that? What's the difference between the expensive and cheap power steering pumps?
Awesome Video
Nice video !
Also I'm trying to work on a 2016 jeep compass. Does the same rules apply?
We think alike , noticed you also have a vise / trailer hitch attachment as well.
Unlike a workbench it wont move around when you need to get aggressive with it.
Remember Barricade, God loves you! 🙂 thanks again for your excellent video 🙂
Good video 👍🏼
will that hd bracket work for a 2003 v8 jeep grand cherokee
Awesome video, thanks !!!!
Is that the speed proportional steering power steering pump? and do you know if you Replace the power steering pump that has p s p with a regular power steering pump?
Are all power steering pump combatible in zj 4.0 or exist different models?
Great help, Thanks!!
yessir!.. chick here...bout to change radiator...yes keep this up!!
By any chance is this the same process for the 4.0 L?
What is that wrench called man I’m having trouble get that hose bolt lose by the pump reservoir
Great job !
Hola que Correa ? la medida para eliminar el aire ac.. saludos
4:36 awesome hitch vice!
Mine started making noises could it be belt tensioner or air on system?
Is the bracket necessary? My 99 didn't come with one and it ran fine.
Hey I damaged the pulley wheel, can i replace the pulley wheel without buying a whole new steering wheel pump?
That powerstering pump doesn't come with transmission fluid because the stock one does i was just woundering?
How did you find which power steering pump you needed?
Do you have to have it off the ground in order to do all of this?
Hello, the steering of my 1997 5.2 grand cherokee vehicle is very hard when stopped, but when I press the gas, the steering softens. Where do you think the fault is?thank you
I gotta change mine in my 94 Wrangler YJ with 2.5 I replaced the hoses which rubbed on a bolt and now got a leak. I got wire loom for the hoses which will stop this.
Pretty sure my Ps is the stock one and has seen better days.
I have a 2019 jeep Cherokee latitude. Do you have a shop that's local in Atl?
Is this the same steps for the 5.9 ?
How do I take off pulley from old pump? That's my one hiccup.
I'm on it. Thanks.
Anyone off-hand know the size of the main bolts going through the pump?
I find it very difficult to buy it in Venezuela
These videos are fucking fantastic. Keep doing them
The long bottom bolt going through the pump on mine feels a little stripped. It's technically tightening but not fully. Anyone else have this issue? Ordered a new bracket and hoping that's all it is.
