      Israel is more than 3,000 years old. Israel and Hebrew are millennia older than Islam or Arabic, which is why Islam is based on Jewish stories and mentions Israel and the Children of Israel and our prophets (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses) in the Quran. The Mesha Stele is from 840B.C. and mentions Israel, the indigenous people (the Jews), thr Jews’ king (King Omri), and the Jews’ G-d (Y-VH). The Arab (and, after, Ottoman) colonization of the Levant didn’t start until almost 2,000yrs. later. Will you let me know what the Ancient Palestinians called it? Well, the Ancient Philistines (who lived in just Philistia, and never ruled all of Israel) were Greek. India wasn’t made a country until 1947. Do you think that India started in 1947? Really? Egypt in 1922. Syria in 1946. Lebanon in 1949. Are you confused about it? Why do you think that there are so many Ancient structures from the Jews (and the Jews only), the indigenous ppl, on that land? Where are others’ ancient structures on that land? Where are others’ ancient stories on that land? Our Tanakh is 2,500yrs. old, the Torah much older. The Tanakh mentions Israel more than 2,000 times. Can you point me to evidence of any other people living there in ancient times, or explain why the Ancient Philistines were Greek but the Palestinians are not? Can you let me know all of those ancient stories or about all of those pieces of archeological evidence? Thanks!!!!

    FYI... A Jewish divorce requires both the agreement of the husband and the wife. There are also men who are stuck because their wives refuse to accept the get. The get is just a physical demonstration of willingness of both the husband and the wife to agree to the divorce. A man might make a get and try to give it to his wife and she can refuse and he is stuck married to her.

      But if he has a child with another woman, that child is not a mamzer. And some authorities will even allow him to remarry (take a second wife technically). So it’s more of an issue for the woman.

      In theory, yes, but the woman doesn’t have the equivalent of heter meah rabbanim at her disposal. Because polygamy is biblically allowed but polyandry is not.

      @@arimermelstein9167For sure, the resulting situation where one spouse denies approval to divorce results in a different situation for men versus women, but the situation is horrible for the victim whether you are a woman or a man. But the reality is that most people, even most Orthodox Jews, do not realize that this situation happens to both men and women, not just to women. I have only heard of one heter meah in my life and it was given to a man whose wife was in a coma for over two decades without any hope of waking up. Even in cases where a wife refuses to accept the divorce for no good reason, I have not heard of a heter being granted (but that does not mean it did not happen, I just never heard of it). As you can imagine, it is next to impossible to get a heter meah.

      @@MehWhatever99As you described, the situation is different for male versus female victims but both their situations are horrible. What bothers me is that people only seem to care about the female victims and could not care less about the male victims. We should care about all the victims and we should acknowledge that it happens to men just as often as it happens to women.

      In Islam, man can say divorce 3x thats enough for a divorce (but its better only to say 2x as the saying it 3x is considered bad and sinning because it has legal complications as well like if they makeup up later in the future they cannot marry again. If only 2x times then can remarry again) and the women can get a khula which usually take 1 month or 2 months even if husband refuses and runs off....divorced is one thing Allah swt allowed it as some cases it can cause harm like husband alcoholic, domestic violence, druggy, gambler and does not provide for wife etc similar case for men

      You were welcomed there for the thousand years b4 western intervention. Stop trying to make yourself out to be some sole victim.
      Even excluding former USSR, Israeli population is more than a third Ashkenazim. You weren't formally "kicked out" of *any* Muslim countries, to my knowledge- if anything, they tried to bar any migration, for obvious reasons.
      Everyone has ancestors from everywhere, doesn't give me the right to lay claim on any portion of land for myself. Never before, and not even now, were Muslims against the idea of Jews living in the holy land. We all have holy sites there, hence its very name. We're the ones that reestablished your presence after the Romans expelled you. It's a shame you can't even recognize that, how ungrateful.
      Lastly, someone in an offensive posture, who seized land from native inhabitants, can never be described as "peaceful". This tribalism of us vs them, and the relentless fearmongering, is what perpetuates this very tired "conflict".

      @@GigaGoose123 so since 1952 there has been no form of persecution of Jews at all.... But since 1918 Israelis Zionists HAVE been violating the Geneva convention in their efforts to have all of Palestine, now Israel, a Jewish only state. Well, not really just Arab Muslims, but also Arab Christians... AND Arab Jews. So it's not really so much about religion, as it is about race.
      At the end of the day it is colonisation, and removing the native populace. Come on man... That stuff hasn't happened since the 20th century at most, except in Israel. How backwards do people have to be to think that's okay?
      October 7th didn't happen in a vacuum. Hamas may have shot up the Gaza division of IDF, and a few others, but they were after hostages so they could trade them for their own people held without trial. That happened regularly enough for even me to know about it. Are u aware most of the people killed that day were so by the IDF? Hannibal doctrine extended to include civilians.
      Just finally, I'm loving all these Jewish folk, rabbi's and doctors included, showing so much support for Gaza, and calling for an end to the war. Just because someone is anti-apartheid, anti-genocide, anti-violence, does not mean they are anti-semitic...

    The Quran and Hadith do not specifically mandate distinct clothing for non-Muslims living in Islamic societies. Instead, the practice of requiring non-Muslims to dress differently was often based on interpretations of Islamic law and historical customs rather than direct textual guidance.
    The jizya tax itself is mentioned in the Quran (9:29), but the specifics of how non-Muslims should dress are not outlined in the Quran. Similarly, while there may be historical examples or interpretations from Hadith that touch on the treatment of non-Muslims in society, they do not provide any instructions regarding their clothing.
    The practice of requiring non-Muslims to dress differently likely evolved as a social and administrative measure rather than being directly derived from religious texts. It's important to remember that interpretations of Islamic law and practices have varied over time and across different regions, leading to a range of customs and practices regarding the treatment of non-Muslims in Islamic societies.

      Can you name one thing that is inaccurate?

    • @mahboobrahimi7667
      @mahboobrahimi7667 Місяць тому +9

      @UNPACKED
      One!!?
      Everything was inaccurate, and as a Pashtun from Afghanistan, I only address a few of them;
      1. There is no custom of lighting candles on Fridays in Afghanistan.
      2. There is no marriage under chuppah in Afghanistan.
      3. Afghans or Pashtuns have no relationship with Bani Israel and its 10 lost tribes... Pashtuns were a Vedic Indo-Aryan tribe that have lived in the valleys of Hindu Kush for millennia
      4. There are so many etymological discussions about the meaning of Kabul, and the prominent idea is that it's derived from Avesta (sacred book of Zoroastrianism), which means ("High Place. I did not hear in any academic or even legendary discussion that there is a link b/w Kabul and Kain and Abel. It's absurd.
      5. Yes, Jews came to Afghanistan mostly from Iraq and Iran, who felt it safer for themselves in Afghanistan. But many of them came to Afghanistan for business as Afghanistan was the main gateway to the silk road. From the very beginning until now, Jews did not face any discrimination or prosecution in Afghanistan because Muslims treat followers of the heavenly books with absolute justice, and this has been proved in the course of history. If Muslim had any problems with Jews, the jews would not make these nations their homelands. The thing you said about Jews paying tax along with other minorities in the contemporary history of Afghanistan is absolute nonsense. During the war, you should either go to the military service when you're at a certain age, or you should pay the specific amount of money so that the government can pay another volunteer instead of you. This was the common rule for all, and jews were no exception. This is like the government in a country oppressing all the population, and you pick up a certain group and claim that this group is oppressed. This is very hypocritical.
      6. You said about the Jews pograms in 1934... This is absolute nonsense. At that time, a secular king was ruling Afghanistan with friendly ties with the USA. In reality, if we have seen an influx in migration of Jews from the Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries to Israel in the period you mentioned. it's because at the time we already had the Balfour Declaration and and many jews wanted to go to palestine themselves( of course with a lot of pull factor from Jews in palestine) during the 5th Aliyah.
      6. Yes, the Afghan government tries to preserve the historical heritage of Afghanistan. There were some historical scrolls that belonged to all Afghans, and the government could not trust an old lunatic man with this historic scroll. Zabalon receives tens of thousands of dollars from Jewish organizations for his so-called custodianship of the synagogues, and he could take these historic scrolls with himself to Israel one day. So that's why our government confiscated them.
      7. In the end, you portrayed this as the annihilation of jews in Afghanistan, without any proof and evidence. During the course of the contemporary history of Afghanistan, more than 10 million Afghans left the country, including 4000 jews. It is worth mentioning that those 4000 Jews had an incentive, too, and that was living in a more developed country with a lot of privileges and allowances. You called it annihilation, I like to call it a honeymoon trip.
      Best regards and love!

      Re: 1, 2, 3, 4 - you should study more about the history of your own people. There are a lot of experts, including Pashtuns, who’ve studied and written about it. So just because you’ve never heard about it doesn’t make it false.
      In terms of your latter points - that’s nice that you call it a honeymoon and deny pogroms, but being forced out of your country isn’t all fun and games - and there’s a reason there is no Jewish community left in Afghanistan anymore. It’s a real shame, as is what’s happened to Afghanistan since then.

    Similarities between jewish culture and persian/afghan culture do not automatically mean Afghans or Persians who have these means they might be decendets from jewish tribes or so. Jews were influenced by Persian culture more than vice versa and looking critical on the developement of Judaism and Persian/Afghan beliefs Persians were usually first and even their monotheism is older than Judaism when you compare real facts not beliefs.
