@@DarshanBhambhani the whole series battle mechanics are easy, i don't remember a single zelda boss that was "hard", i found myself fighting the controls more than the actual games.
Koji Kondo did not write this!!! He had little to no involvement in Wind Waker’s soundtrack. This was written by Hajime Wakai. (Who, incidentally, also wrote the Molduga boss music for Breath of the Wild)
Honestly, unless you badly need hearts, you can pretty much ignore the small sand worms. Trying to deal with them and Molgera at the same time is more trouble than it's worth.
@user-bp1be1yg2h I have never had an issue with the little worms, just put some distance between yourself and them, and you should have no trouble with being able to hookshot Molgera.
0:30 I love Toon Link's facial expression to seeing the size of that monster exploding out of the sand... Him and I had the same expression when I first encountered this boss lol
Goddesses, I love huge bosses like this. I love watching it fly around, jaws flailing, as it crashes face-first into the sand in an attempt to swallow you... Like at 3:14. Gives me chills every time....and I love it ^_^
My favorite boss fight ever. Music was definitely an influence though! I used to create new files and play all over again so that I could fight this boss! I never knew you could countlessly fight the bosses over again in Ganondorf’s Castle. I thought you would only refight each one once!
I just noticed that Molgera is based in an ant lion.He is moving sand with his mouth to bring to his hole whatever moves on top of the sand. Link being some kind of ant seems accurate to me
This fight perfectly captures what I love about this game. The fact that the bosses are MASSIVE compared to Link, this random kid from a small island. The sense of scale is insane.
Man this game was peak design. If they made this boss like 10-30% harder, maybe make his tongue ungrabbable at points, then this boss would've been a 10/10
man it would have been MORE awesome if the boss stayed more airborne/ flew around more, an its body had hookshot points to get on it, for a chance to damage it more
However freaky Puppet Ganon may be, this to me is the scariest boss in the game. The first cutscene does a great job building up the anticipation of a dangerous creature coming for you and then gives an amazing payoff when this massive sand worm comes flying out of the ground while the music goes crazy. I remember getting to this part on my first playthrough and being like "how the hell am I supposed to fight that". The boss theme is a banger and a half though
Everyone seems to talk about how the hd version butchered the art style. It wasn’t that they butchered it… they just removed what made the art style the art style. If you go back to the original and pay attention to the lighting and effects you start to see exactly how many little layers there are to the lighting that the remake just exchanged for classic shading. Botw has the same problem with its overworlds
This Boss was by all means simply a Masterpiece. This is the very reason why 3D will always > 2D - when done with this wonderfully poised direction, cinematography & care you just can't beat it. The scenes as that massive monstrosity actively comes bearing down on you are among the most Epic in gaming regardless of difficulty. As opposed to Twilight Princess's Argorok who lamely just spun round on the spot and didn't bother coming after you. Cool Boss but unfortunately mis-directed.
Sure, the boss is easy. However, you can't deny how awesome the atmosphere is for this particular boss.
Daniel Burgos the whole game is easy
@@DarshanBhambhani the whole series battle mechanics are easy, i don't remember a single zelda boss that was "hard", i found myself fighting the controls more than the actual games.
What about molduga
And that entrance too-probably the most cinematic out of the entire game

Anyone here after fighting Tears of the Kingdom Colgera?
Colgera was so damn hype the first time I saw it
My fav boss in WW, so glad they brought it back dude
@@ik0la In some way.

@@robertgonsalez-re5wu Nah, it's very different, but the design, name, and parts of the music are directly based off molgera
I love how molgeras weak point is it’s Proboscis. Worms do actually have those and green blood as well
I thought it was a tongue
@@Retroist2024 well cutting a tongue off would not be fatal but worm proboscises are linked to their brains.
This boss's theme is proof that Koji Kondo is a music god.

3:14 fun fact, you can actually grab its tongue and attack it when it tries to dive down and attack you like that.
Well today I learned
Forget that, I'm still running away like hell XD but lesson learned
This boss was easy, but I would always delay finishing him off just so I could listen to the masterpiece that is this music

idk man they make such cool sounds when you kill them though
The small worms are just there to fuck up your target lock
Killing the worms is mandatory unless you wanna go insane fighting the true boss of this fight: the camera/lock on controls

Hands down the most expressive of the Links and a true mood

Ya definitely
This was the best boss fight and the best music throughout the series
There are few times watching a video has made me want to play a game so strongly, this is one of them
Who knew this boss would get a sequel
It always dives into the sand with its mouth open, so it must be swallowing an insane amount of sand.
Has anybody noticed that this boss is just volvagia, but, with sand instead of lava? It's pretty much a sand volvagia.
My favorite boss in Wind Waker. Also my favorite dungeon.
And now this boss was able to reincarnate itself to be an icy version of itself
So happy to see this guy come back in some fashion with Colgera. The TotK bosses reference past Zelda entries in some really cool ways.
I think part of molgera also lives on in moldugas, in the name and burrowing.
I absolutely love the sounds Molgera makes, it's f-ing terrifying!
Molgera and Morpheel are two very impressive and scary bosses at first but turn out to be extremely pathethic on how easy they actually are
At least the former has a kickass theme to it, while the latter has… nothing memorable.
same with colgera in the new game

It was kiddy in aesthetics but I love how it stayed true to the formula

I liked the earth temple better than the wind temple, but molgera was hands down the superior boss.
The predecessor to molduga's.
