My wife was at Eddies last show here in Bristol England at the Hippodrome. 1960. (Stiil a theatre today) We visited Eddie's grave a few years back. Took a while to locate it in this huge cemetery even with help from the main office. What a peaceful resting place for a true star. RIP Eddie. You were "Something Else"

I went to Eddie's grave about 5 years ago and it was very moving. I meditated there and spoke to him for about 20 minutes. Don't know if he heard me, but I'm glad I made the trip and paid my respects to this great rock and roll pioneer.

I visited EDDIE COCHRAN in April 1985 - It was exactly 25 years since he had passed away - it's time to go back - it's been 60 years now since he left , Joe Nania a.k.a. Hollywood Joe

This is truly moving, and I dearly miss my songwriting collaborator, Sharon Sheeley of the early eighties. She'd lost Eddie when I was just a child, and I'd lost my mum just before we began writing together. We sobbed together, yet she lifted me up. Many of you understandably see her up as buried in loss, or forever suffering from a life-long grief, but that woman was the most crazy, and creative spark that had ever entered my life. I would never disparage the thoughts others might have for she or Eddie, but in one word, that gal could only be described as a firecracker. I hadn't had that energy then, and certainly don't have it now, but Sharon was a self-made woman, and took no hostages. A young kid in a man's world, and she shattered that glass, like no one ever. That's why I'll forever remember that woman. Just one amazing soul. ♥

What a great tribute to Sharon Sheeley that perfectly augments Antoon’s video tribute to Eddie.
She indeed was a trail blazer for Girl Power in the too-often chauvinistic music biz.

Thanks for showing Eddies final resting place. It makes his tragic death more real to me and his loss. He died so young! He was only 21. His career and fame had just begun. Cut down right in his prime! Just like Buddy Holly who was only 22 when he died.
And yet they both left behind great musical legacies!
And live on through their music!
    RIP Eddie and Buddy

@@RememberEddieCochran Thanks! You appear to be a loyal Eddie Cochran fan! I’m a loyal fan of his as well and even learned to play several of his songs on guitar! He’s one of the greats! He’s more popular in Britain than the US because he Toured there before he died in that fatal car accident. Sadly, he was lost way too early just like Buddy Holly. They were both great talents and I think they would have gone on to even greater musical heights and eventually became music producers themselves producing albums for other bands. They were both very smart!
Anyway, thanks! And I’m a loyal fan for life!

Really poignant and heartfelt. Your a great fan with a flair for words. Eddie was majestic. He would have diversified into multiple genres with ease such was his incredible vocal ability. As for eddies guitar ability on the resplendent orange red gretsch ... he was breathtaking. I've read widely on edd and he was humble , funny , generous, loving, warm and tactile . In the arms of God sits this maestro

He is not forgotten. His music is as fresh and full of vitality as the day it was recorded.
And on youtube, we can see Eddie interviewed, get a sense of who he was. I have to tell you, I filled up last time I saw him miming on the tv show, it was either Something Else or C'mon Everybody. Described by Dylan as a genius, the flame of his music is maybe the brightest of all rock & roll; his best records have seldom if ever been bettered. He was an absolutely fantastic, inspirational artist.
Thank you for this moving and very touching video.

But thanks Google and your description we found it.

You were great while you were alive!!! It's sad that you died at a taxicab driver's negligence. Had you lived and that crash never took place we could imagine more wonderful songs you've recorded. Perhaps you've would've seen changes in Rock and Popular music. Perhaps you've would've met Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Page, perhaps the Beatles and Stones. Perhaps your style of music would've evolved into a new style or genre. Just that we will never know I know that Brian Setzer would've loved to have met you. He portrayed you in the movie, "La Bamba". Whatever would've happened if you wouldn't have died, perhaps your life would've been filled with many wonderful experiences. Many were influenced by your music that's why your music will never be forgotten.

That's not really Sharon Sheeley's grave. It is a cenotaph -- a memoral marker placed there because of her closeness in life to Eddie Cochran. Sharon's body is not there.

I honor Eddie Cochran and his music. Yet same time wonder how weird the life can be. All those talent Kings of Rock'n Roll taken away By accidently deaths so sudden in their early years: Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens ( plus not to forget the scandal Jerry Lee Lewis. Who married 13 yrs old girl ) All that had to happen while Elvis was in army in Germany... Weird Huh? I am not saying Elvis had something to do with the deaths not at all but he must been the luckiest rock musician of the era. ( He even had an affair with 14yrs old Pricilla but unlike Jerry Lee Lewis Elvis got praised marrying his dollpride?) And even Elvis did not write one song in rock'n roll neither could play Instruments Elvis is the king of rock'n roll? I say, Elvis won in lottery multible times because without the deaths of Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens and the scandal of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley would have never been risen to be the king of rock'n roll.

You won’t believe it, but the same thoughts have long come to me!
Elvis was left without competitors, this is mysticism. He simply had no one to compete with. No one knows what would happen to rock and roll if Eddie survived and Jerry did not get into a scandal.
Elvis was lucky, but he also finished very badly. Greetings from Russia.
