    I tend to fall in love with borders on samplers.. and I generally don't mind stitching them if I can do them a bit at a time. I've admired several Reflets de Soie samplers, but those borders truly intimidate me. (Yes, I know it's all a stitch at a time lol)

    Always love your videos. I use an 8x8 qsnap for most of my stitching projects because I don’t want to hold something heavy. My new discovery, which is working great, is that I bought extensions and 11” clamps to make my qsnap 8x11. It gives me some more stitching area so I don’t have to move the snaps so frequently. The other thing I use is white paper towel cut in strips to put under the clamps to avoid direct contact with my stitching. Happy stitching! Lee

    • @ContentedNeedleworkerKim
      @ContentedNeedleworkerKim  3 місяці тому

      Thanks, Lee! I have lots of sizes as well, and I use felt or paper towels too. I find my loose clamps to snap over the stitching, and that helps!

    Thanks for another lovely visit with you and your stitching, Kim😊. I love seeing all of the beautiful samplers you stitch on. I'm not much of a sampler stitcher myself, but I do admire all of the designs and finished samplers that are out there! And I just love the history behind the design and the stitcher. I was recently able to purchase a copy of Florence Mary Dickinson, and then I heard Brenda talk about how fussy the border was 😂 . Yikes! But I love your idea of stitching just certain pieces of it. I'll probably wind up stitching the whole thing (whenever that is 😂), but hearing how you are only stitching a portion of it reminds me that I can do the same if I find stitching the piece is becoming too much. Happy stitching!
