I'm new to your channel and so happy I found it! I haven't crossed it in a very long time. I still have my last project I was working on. I have it all wrapped up in cupboard up in my closet. I've been eyeing it and wanting to pull it down and pick up where I left off. I'm finding that I have plenty of time on my hands now that I've become a mature senior citizen (old). I too, live in San Diego county. It was is to hear of another youtuber that lives in the same region. I know of another sweet Christian lady that lives in Carlsbad, The Transformed Wife. Glad you had a great trip. We lived in Ames for a number of years. Have many lovely memories of taking our girls to see the swans on Lake Laverne. The swans’ names are Lancelot and Elaine. There is a Cottage Garden Designs chart that has two swans on it that I want to stitch in memory of those years! As usual, enjoy your floss tube so much! Thanks!

I'm absolutely swooning from the Bird of Paradise finish - it is just spectacular, especially in that frame. Love love love it!! The Peacock, Unicorn, & a Badger piece is coming along so nicely, it's such a fun stitch! So glad you got to see a Northern Cardinal and some Grosbeaks (was it a Rose-breasted?). So fun hearing about your trip! It's always interesting to get a different viewpoint of where you live from someone else. Iowa State is a beautiful campus, all 3 of my children graduated from there. If you ever go back you should visit Reiman Gardens which is next to the football stadium. Enjoy your Attic trip!

When you did your Eleanor Parr did you use the call for dmc? I've put mine in time out as I'm not happy with the colours. When I checked against the silks they aren't even close! What's your suggestion?
I did my Maggie Mae in Blue Corn for the sweater and Dove for the dress. Still tossing up what colour for the shoes. Your pink version is fantastic,. Did mine on a 46ct Serial Starter from Number12StitchCo.
