    Add a maganet on each side to hold the needles when adjusting the leather. I like the end results. you did a good job. Good luck with your leather work. Remember, Practice, Practice, Practice,,,,

    A small modification you might want to do is to put two small magnets on both sides of the clamp so they can hold any needles currently in use.

    Hello, very nice indeed ! Is the large hole angled at 11:54 ?
    It always amazed by people drilling perfectly straight like that... I would never dare, unless I have at least 50 wood pieces left... maybe I should give it a try, my drill press is wobbling too much now, useless.

    • @SteveBellCreates
      @SteveBellCreates  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for you nice comments the hole is elongated by hand with the drill so the arm of the pony can open wider since the bolt goes through this hole. I hope I’ve explained that clearly as I’m not sure I have !

    • @Stavroguine826
      @Stavroguine826 Рік тому

      @@SteveBellCreates I saw that it was elongated but I thought it was also at a slight angle... I don't understand how the handle can stay perfectly straight to the jaw. Or maybe the nut on the opposite is rotating a little bit...

      @@SteveBellCreates Can you give me an advice? I need to fit a M6 threaded insert inside the edge of two pieces of beech plywood glued together ( 15+15mm ). My threaded insert outer diameter is is 10mm, I drilled a 9mm hole. I'm hesitating, my threaded inserts seem cheap ( they have no dent on the outer thread ), beech plywood is hard... and I only have one try... do you think I should enlarge the hole if I don't want the plywood to break or it's ok ? Thanks

    • @SteveBellCreates
      @SteveBellCreates  Рік тому +1

      @@Stavroguine826 hi have you any scrap plywood to try it in first ? If not can you put a clamp over the two pieces where the insert is going to help avoid breakout also if it’s a tight fit and difficult to screw in add a little bit soap to the threads of your. Insert but just take it nice and slow good luck
