There very likely wouldn't BE a Tim Miller as he is today if there hadn't been an Alan Holdsworth a generation before him. The best of the present has ALWAYS built on the best of the past, and Tim is standing proudly on Alan's shoulders.
Tim Miller owes much to Allan. This stuff is very similar to the explorations AH was doing 25 years ago. Even the guitar synthesis is very similar. There's no shame in that as Allan was an extraordinary musician.

I wish people would quit mentioning Holdsworth when listening to Tim. Tim is a stand alone musician.
