I know it’s not effective at meta which is probably why you don’t use it much, but at midlevel, Carian Retaliation is your best friend against that one annoying group who loves to flank and spam Reduvia Blood Blade ad nauseum. One parry and suddenly you have a free 400 damage punish available on demand for the next time they get too friendly with their L2 button. It’s also delicious when you parry the host’s blood blade as you’re pressuring the phantom, then use the Glintblades to help chase down and kill the phantom. Thanks for the help, host!
@@SgtJager00 Yeah I found this out recently and it's made me take Carian Retaliation on every single build now. Reduvia spammers WILL be punished for their crimes.
Still enjoy the introduction commentary split with in game clips from your streams. I enjoy the comedy interactions from both you and the chat. The intro into the invasions for context are good too. Keep doing what you're doing.
I don't understand how anyone could gain some pvp know-how in this game and then waste it on being a blue. Thats like getting a culinary arts degree and then getting a job at McDonalds.
It's not like you can improve by being a blue. Pretty sure most "skilled" blues are just invaders who threw the blue ring on while setting up a build for the extra PvP.
Every time I've been a blue in these games it's because I wasn't getting any invasions. I would 100% rather be fighting a 3v1 than helping a host who already has the numbers advantage anyway.
Yea the dedicated blues are like people who want to pvp but dont have to balls to invade i guess dunno how anyone who can pvp can be a blue in er and sleep at night
i really like this format, having both organised commentary and stream content is a good balance. your additions over the footage when there's something we should pay special attention to is wonderful too. one thing i was wondering about with this build and ones below meta in general; on my RL60 build i don't know how much poise to aim for, what do you use at RL80 when you switch to it? and why pick that amount?
@@emm2893 thank you man! I appreciate that While I usually run borderline no poise, most would consider the bare minimum to be 88 to tank the back swing of the shamshir. It has the best second R1 in the game, and you basically lose immediately against a decent player using it. If you want to tank the back swing of 2h legs, you would need 97 poise, but this is hard to achieve at low level. Hope this helps!
Really glad to see that vid'! Love your insight as well! I was doing lv 50 invasion when the game was on release, and i log few days ago with that character, +5 capped weapon, thinkin' "Yeah i must be on par with my foes. Hell, I even got a Jar Cannon and antspur rapier. They sure do hit like truck, but that's the thing of low lv invasion, i guess" What the fuck? a weapon +18?! And all those consummables? I was doing it wrong.
I’m glad to see the real ones aren’t hopping on the Black mid wukong band wagon & are still doing ER content. Since ER is actually good and has longevity unlike Wukong which will be forgotten by 2025, and rightfully so
Thank you brother! Also, if you are interested, I'd love it if you checked out the first episode of my little series called the beggars run. I uploaded the first episode like a week ago. I've been studying how you play mage because for this series of the run, I'm only allowed to use sorceries. There is a ton of rules, but it's partially inspired by you
I have died from one of those silent hefty pots and retained the memory. Some dude launched one below me as I outmaneuvered them atop the Belurat rootpots. Didn't hear a damn thing until it hit my head.
The guy who turned on blues because he was losing is peak Elden Ring
Yep
Get good scrubs, we can turn on blues if we want to
@@TheZeroviral your indian heritage is showing you might wana cover that up

You pulled out the goatgoyles twinblade 🔥❤️
In arena thankfully no one starts with thrusting shields, the little babies just hardswap to it once they're losing
