This ad! It's soooo emotional... took me back to childhood & the time my parents had bought me the same organ SA-21 & my first proper watch at age 5 on my birthday which was Casio.

My first watch that I can remember was F91W gifted by my father when I was a kid. Within weeks I killed it by going to swim with it. My father first scolded me but then again bought me another Casio watch which was more water resistant and I wore for years. Now that both my parents are no more in the world and especially that I lost my father in COVID a year ago, I fell in love with the basic F91W again and bought a new one. Looking back I feel grateful to my parents that they provided me with more than enough to start my life although being from a middle class family. Now I own smartwatches worth big hefty price tags but I feel mostly drawn to the minimalistic and essential approach to F91W. It’s more than a watch, more than nostalgia. It’s an icon of our good times and 90’s. It’s my kind of watch, that’s all I can say.
