Good job Jason a nutter talking to himself in the woods with a axe nothing suspicious about that 😅👍
🤣 Perfectly normal behaviour
Your positive outlook and disposition despite all the physical pain you are enduring at the moment Jason - well that is as inspiring as the extraordinary camera work of your gorgeous home land and all of the wisdom and knowledge you graciously share with your viewers and subscribers....WET footed and all. Hope the little piranhas enjoyed a few biscuits. :). Glad to see you back. Sorry didn't mean to say back!
Ah the camera work isn't what I'd like it to be but we're getting by. Hopefully soon I'll be back out camping, that's my favourite thing to film. The biscuits have escaped the piranhas so far, I might be able to save a few for a camp all going well. I hope all is well with you, take her handy 🍀
Thanks a million for the shout-out Jason! I forgot about the dunkability factor when selecting them. 😂 Pretty good attempt at the Finnish names. 👍 It's not the easiest language. Remember to give the kids a taste!
They haven't had a sniff of them yet, I have them stashed. Not sure how long it will be until they inevitably sniff them out. Thanks again 🙌
Cheers Jason great to see you back out in your natural surroundings 👍
Thanks Pat 🍀
Nice to see you out and about. Merry Christmas. I will check out your mate's channel too.
Happy Christmas Craig, have a good one 👍
Good to see you out again, I have a horrific back at times to the point I cant walk so I know how you feel mate.
I've been there, hopefully 2024 will be a good year all round. I reckon we're all due a good one
Great vid again Jason, watching while having a Sunday morning cuppa, dog walk time soon & have got a little sunshine for a change...🌞 I enjoy the T & Biscuits in the woods vids, as much as the camp vids... Ironically I was sharpening & using my axe yesterday to start chopping up a fallen Widow-maker...😯 It was a big branch, from an Ash Tree on local play field... Also it's apparently one of the best woods for burning, so I cleared up & now got a good pile, cut & split to fit in the Hot-tent Stove or mini-campfire & should be much better than using split pallets, that's ok for kindling, but burns too quick... Love your idea to fashion a milk carton to make an Axe-cover, I was just about to throw one out, but I know what ill be making with it now...!😄 Will use a hole punch or soldering iron to make the holes & abit of bungee cord, great idea...👍 Best wishes & hope the back pains ease...🙏
I can't wait to get out and film a proper camp, so many ideas. Sounds like you are sorted now for a good while, ash is great stuff. Hopefully the sheath goes well, I'm going to try repair mine I reckon. Take her handy 👍
Jason, always worth a gander even if there are uncrossable obstructions. Exotic Finnish biscuits look the business👍 The sharpening had a very satisfying sound to it and the homemade sheath was pretty cool - reuse/reduce/recycle♻ Definitely the best place to be for axe sharpening or biscuit eating🌳🌲👍 Have a great Christmas🎄🎁
Happy Christmas Gerry, I hope you are having a good one 🎄
I saw the axe and thought oh no Jason has lost it 🤣 Great vid as always Jason 👍
😄 you weren't wrong. I'm beginning to lose me marbles
I hope you had enough biscuits with you Jason 🤣🤣🤣
God bless you Jason lad and wish you and family a Merry Christmas!
Thanks a mill Ross, Happy Christmas to you and yours. I hope it's a good one 🙌
Ya leveled up that axe pretty smart, Jason.
Thanks Dave
Great to see you out, sorted with the goodies, love watching ❤❤
Cheers Alan
@@RamblingOn Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎅
hope you are well
Cheers Paul 🍀 I hope all is well with you 🤞
Jay the axe murderer just sitting in the woods lol top man jay hope you have a great Christmas
🤣 a new profession, doesn't pay well unfortunately.
Thanks a mill, I hope your Christmas is a good one 🎄
Looked like you were building up a bit of a sweat with all that sharpening and sanding😂.
It was a proper workout, that paint was tough stuff 😄
❤
👍
Coffee made, nice Saturday afternoon viewing
Nice to see you out in nature. When will there be another camping video? or is it a little too cold for that? Best regards 😊✌️
As soon as I am physically able for it I'll be back out camping. I'm just working through a back injury at the moment, the weather doesn't bother me. I'm hoping to get back to the mountains for some proper winter camps 🥶
@@RamblingOn oh please excuse me. I didn't know you were hurt.🙄 please go slow. An injury to the back and spine is not something to be trifled with. I hope you get well soon. Get well soon!🙏
@@RamblingOn Many kind regards from Germany! 👋
Excellent video, tnx, you have to put the sharpening puck in water first, once the bubbles are gone you can use the stone to sharpen the axe, the water then will get rid of the metal dust while sharpening, have fun
Thanks a mill, I probably should have looked it up before giving it a go 😄 I shall know for the next time. Cheers 🍀
You are officially the camping biscuit king !! great job on the axe even though that grinding went through me like nails on a chalkboard, you take it easy Jason and dont stretch yourself 👍👍
😂 Apologies, I had forgotten that my mic was right next to the action
Ireland is probably the only country where a man can sharpen an axe on the side of trail an a passer by will say "you look like your contemplating murder" "jaysus the evenings are fucked"
😄 with the obligatory additional comment on the weather
Stupid question.. how do you find stops. Like I'd never even know we're to start.
Love the videos glad your back at it
Honestly I just walk off into the trees 😄 Following an animal trail is a good way to get in to the hard to reach areas. I've a few videos where I'm out looking for spots they might help you out. It doesn't have to be a large woodland either, there are some beautiful areas in very small patches of woodland
You should try one of the cold steel hawks great to customise and mess about with I have the trail hawk
I'm not sure how much use I'll have for a hatchet, but I might do some more woodland camps. The trail hawk looks savage, more of a murder weapon 🤣
@RamblingOn yes it is ha ,bestowing I have seen in yrs is hawk heavy the revenant what a show if you haven't seen it ,I'm actually goin back to forging knives in new Yr I will email you when I'm back at it I'll make you something 😉
@ironkid8836 I'll have to check it out. That would be class, thanks a mill. I'd say it takes some serious patience to forge a knife. Fair play 🙌
Made the tea but I’ve run out of biscuits 🍪 😮
It's just not the same is it 😄
Jason...Where are you? Hope all is ok!
How's it going... I've been completely out of action for 2 months or more but I hope that I'm coming to the end of it now. I can't wait to get back camping but it might have to wait a few more weeks. I'll hopefully get a video of some description out soon though🤞
Fabulous video J - just subscribed ..Ive just started my youtube journey so I'm learning the ropes and getting inspiration from guys like yourself - any tips greatly appreciated
Thanks a mill, the only thing Ill say is keep at it and don't be afraid to try new ideas with filming and editing. It's constant learning but for me at least it really adds to the experience outdoors. All the best with your channel 🍀
@@RamblingOnthx mate appreciate you subscribing.. keep up the great work
Hi Jason, I assume that you had to sneak the biscuits and chocolate out of the house without anyone seeing them. I try to hide chocolate at home but my wife knows all my hiding places😂By the way, if anyone says anything over eating the biccies, I have heard that biscuits are good for relieving back pain (see if the missus believes that one)
😄 I did well to get the out in one piece, they are still safely stashed away for the time being. I wish that were true because if biscuits could heal injuries I'd be fit as fiddle
Hey Jason, have you tried a inversion table for your back problems?
Not yet, I've tried decompression techniques but not the table
Well Jason ,Chiropractor or osteopath which do you go too.Standing in the one spot for a while kills my back or bending over something like under the bonnet of a car.Good man Kevin hard to beat the generosity of the Irish.
I'd choose osteopath, is that the best option you reckon?
@printleeds1066 I found an osteopath the best for me and I always remember my doctor telling me that he hadn't great faith in chiropractors but a good osteopath is worth their weight in gold. Now that said whatever works for the patient is the best but for me it was an osteopath.
I tried a Chiropractor years ago, I did a few sessions and then I could hardly walk. Set me back months unfortunately so I swore off them.
I haven't gone to anyone this time. I know a lot about my injury so I'm just listening to my body and trying to gently repair myself. I think that I'm getting there slowly
What type of gear bag are ya using? Nice video.
That is a polish army bread bag
Hi Jason enjoyed the video u look like ur in pain with ur back I went with the helm compact 2 got it for €305 from cotswold in Dublin can't wait to try it out in the new year thanks again for ur advise
Yeah it's still at me. I'm delighted to hear that you went with the Helm. It's the one I would have chosen too. I hope it serves you well and Happy Christmas to you and your family 🎄
@RamblingOn yeah it got great reviews so I hope it I like it have a good Christmas and I hope the break helps ur back heal cheers
@tonysammon-pw7qh I'll be working right through Christmas but I'm hoping to be back camping in a few weeks. Have a good one 🍀

You had me cracking up with "the company was founded in 1906 so I assume they know what they're doing"!!!🤣🤣🤣
Another nice video J...keep 'em coming!
