The thing is HOW to remember in a street fight.
All your memory of techniques can shut down when suddenly thrust into a situation where fear and adrenaline is pumping.

So sorry to hear about your friend who defended himself and lost his possessions through a legal system that is supposed to protect the victim not the villain.

Maybe I misheard, but they only mentioned that he got sued, they never said whether he lost the case or not. If it was self-defense he should have been fine!

Welcome to 2024 where democrat leaders let criminals out on the street, and let them in over the border.

They were at the bar they went out side one guy was put in a Thai clinch dripped quick the other ran...
Too late the guy that took most of it was beat into a coma, eneded up living...
Sued my pal for a ton of $$$

Some Sun Tsu wisdom right there. Might wanna take homie's cell phone when he's no longer a threat, so he doesn't call his homies in retaliation. Cut off any access to communication he has.

0.29 mins, what is your mindset. The attacker has a written script in his mind of what he intends to do, and the only way to tear up that script is with the pre- emptive strike. If he is a fit and healthy attacker I'm not going to wait until he strikes first and then apply some supposed bullet proof self defence moves, that's not the real world! Strike to lock or get away. Another good video- thank you.

This is almost what I've heard from my tíos (all of them streetfighters, effective street fighters). I mean, except what you've said on not to get into a fight (on consensual violence) but to simply attack.
So your view points about street violence are on point.
Seemingly, that topic is universal, whether you're at Us, whether you're at Mexico.

Taken out of context or misunderstood. Do not get in a fight (if you do not have to). A fight you do not have to fight is won fight.

Agree…..there is value in that thinking. Not every street confrontation needs to end in a physical fight.

  • @Jahman718

This channel is very informative. I agree wholeheartedly, especially when it comes to barking threats at someone’s family. That’s an automatic violation right there. Before engaging in any kind of physical contact, it is best to try to diffuse the situation. When someone threatens to cause harm to your wife and children, there’s no reasoning. No way will I run to the drug store and pick up some antiseptic and bandages to make sure he heals up properly. That’s on him. Great video, Professor James and Kenny.

I enjoyed and liked all of what you outlined. Also to be transparent I’m not a martial artist of any kind. That being said the last I disagree when you asked “Have you ever heard of any attacker stopping to help you after they attacked you?” Of course you are correct but one thing has not been taken into account. The attackers’s humanity is no where near ours and in the spirit of that that’s what might make someone better if they did get injured and we helped. Obviously that might be a huge and unnecessary risk but I’m just offering perspective why good people think that.

I tried to teach the oldest child (8yr old female) in the event of an adult fight. She was in charge of gathering the 2yr old female sister, and 18 month boy. Take them to the bathtub, and the three of them take cover inside the tub. I showed her news events where a child was shot, in the home, due to a violent event that played out in the home. The day came where i asked an intoxicated adult male to leave. He got violent. The kids were ordered repeatedly to take cover as the drill for home violece was instructed. They failed to comply. Instead became little looky loos. Because they wanted to see what was going on. I asked the oldest the next day what she saw. She said "Daddy blood was everywhere " I had to teach the children again how to take cover when there is adult violence in the home. You'd think that i must have been a bad parent. When i came into the picture there was already an enormous amount of chaos, and violence in that family. Were talking bloodshed at a wedding with guns and blood on the wedding cake. I taught those children how to deal with the reality of their environment. I tell you this because i hope you realize that when you ask childern to take the reality of violence seriously. They can not connect what you are asking of them. You as an adult have to take them by the hand and move them to a place of saftey. They won't go on their own.
