Barefoot bandits are back! Master engine builder Gary! For real. Everytime I watch you do engine work... makes me want to build another... very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing gents! E-🦸♂️
E-man Deluxe You are too kind, Thank you for those words. I really don’t know about the master engine builder, but the stuff I build does run. You would be shocked, I have worn shoes the last few days out in the garage LOL
Oh man almost there!!!!! Wooooohooooo!!! Good tip on the cam thrust! Levi is a next generation VW guy in the making!!! I’m really excited about this build!
Slades VW Beetle I wanted to do like step by step videos but I’ve covered so much of that in the past. Plus it’s super time consuming. Levi is becoming a great VW guy for sure, he’s getting better at troubleshooting issues by himself! Imo, skills like that will help him in day to day life situations later down the road.
VWJawbreaker Filming does take more time. Your videos are always good, I look forward to them! Oh yes, Levi spending time with you and learning, will greatly help him in life. I tried very hard to teach both of my sons who are adults now, pretty much everything I knew. Took about 15 seconds, just kidding LOL I never wanted them to have to call an electrician, plumber, mechanic, just things like that. Father-son time will always be remembered especially by him.
G'day Kevin from Australia. Glad to see Jawbreaker junior is following you in those special feet protective thingies. Fun aside its great seeing the young ones on the tools. ✌
Great stuff, VWJawbreaker! Good to see this engine coming together, and I'm glad you had some expert help to keep you in line. I saw in another comment that you use VW Rich Flat 4- may have to hit him up for an align bore some day.
Haptic Garage oh I definitely need the expert to help keep me in line! I use a guy in DeBary for cases, not flat 4 guy. Hope you’re having a great week. Can’t wait to drive my car already!
Great Video, And Super Informative on your Build. Wish I had that kind of build ability. Thanks so much for sharing your ability on the engine build. We Appreciate It. Take Care my Friend and have a great week. BigW:-)
@@VWJawbreaker i dont think i would need it flycut.. Im thinking of trying to get this done by next month.. I gotta pull the motor to fix the rear main seal leak anyways... Whatcha think of flycutting the heads?..
Mileage Unknown is lend a hand if we were closer! Easiest way to learn is to dive in and do it. Between good UA-cam videos by many people, social media and the Bently manual, I’m sure you could pull it off.
I appreciate you checking the out the channel! Remember, I’m no expert, just sharing my experience and what little I’ve learned 😜 Have a great safe week.
Is this what your using on the case halves to seal them --- [Permatex 80019 Aviation Form-A-Gasket Sealant Liquid 4 oz] ? i was going to use [ Yamabond Motorsports Semi Drying Liquid Gasket ACC-BOND 4-MC-00]. I used it when sealing marine engine cases .
@@VWJawbreaker Thanks just checking my list and checking it twice lol. I'm waiting for my bearings so i can assemble the crank doing the rod bushings tomorrow.
JC Quick he is getting there little by little. I was fortunate enough to spend time in the garage with my dad, I hope he learns a few things out here with me.

It is great having him in the garage with me, learning skills that I hope he can use later in life.
great content as always Jaws ...& Levi , out there building motors with Pops ...he has no idea how lucky he is :)
5150mxVW I appreciate that buddy. Honestly, I don’t really care what we do as long as we get to do things together.

CT I’m glad I’m able to help, that’s the entire purpose of the videos.
Levi needs to give me a few good pointers on how the video vw tasks..Good job guys keep up the fun.
Busman 54 if it’s not fun then we would need to re-evaluate things. Hope you’re doing well!
Great camera work Levi! 👍

Big W Adventures thank you as always for being here! Hope you both have a wonderful rest of the week and get to some more adventures.
Looking awesome ! Who bored the case for ya?
VW RICH FLAT4 local guy near me does all kinds of work. I use him for engine machine stuff.
@@VWJawbreaker hey do you know how much your guy will charge to bore the heads for thick wall 88's?
Thanks, Richard
VW RICH FLAT4 for heads he charges $25 a hole. Should be about $100, maybe $150 if he needs to fly cut them for a specific cc also.
Btw he does it on a bridge port cnc machine, not with a hand drill.
@@VWJawbreaker i dont think i would need it flycut.. Im thinking of trying to get this done by next month.. I gotta pull the motor to fix the rear main seal leak anyways...

Graham Prentice thank you, stay tuned as we get this beast finished up.
I sure will can't wait to see how it performs, love your weather by the way we are at 5 Degrees C (41F) in Scotland
Graham Prentice I appreciate that!
It’s been chilly here the last few days, 38-40F in the mornings and warming up to 55 with a 5-10mph wind.
Glad you were able to get a replacement now, then when the case blew apart. That crack is still.crazy.
Volkswagenplanet yes sir, glad it’s going back together, can’t wait to drive my car again.
like watching these videos
VW Life thanks! Not to disappoint but hopefully it’ll be the last series for a while.... I could use an engine break lol
Good stuff.
Wont be long now.
Vintage Speed VW no sir.... hopefully be driving it this weekend 😁
@@VWJawbreaker heck ya!
Dang you work quick!
I have my rods and bearings on order for my 1915 build.

Scotty C that’s my son (11) who is always with me in the garage. My daughter (13) only likes to take a ride once in a while.
