Gameranx is one of the few review sources that I trust. They always give an honest opinion even if the game being review isn’t the type of game the reviewer typically spends most of their time playing. Too many reviewers are quick to call a game bad or trash just because they aren’t the type of player who the game was made for. I’m enjoying BO6. Is it the best game in the market? No but it’s a well made game that is fun if you enjoy this type of game and that is worth pointing out even if it’s far from perfect.
Same boat. Haven't played a COD in 10 years or so. Got this one because I had a free gamepass subscription to cash in. This is the first online game that's gotten me hooked in 2 or 3 years. The game is a lot of fun and runs really well for me.

One of the many reason I don’t play COD multiplayer. I don’t want my team to look like some random pulled together suicide squad. Just make them look like normal military officers without all that fuss like the old CODS. BFV also had this and it put me off so much
I gotta say, that one dude working on these new COD campaigns is honestly having a good time. Guy played MGS5 and Hitman and was like "I want to sneak some of those game mechanics in and see if anyone notices"
The sad part is, devs totally ditched the “M for Mature” restrictions, focusing on kids cuz they know at the end of the day, it just works. It worked for the old, it will continue with the new.
I am enjoying the campaign. I agree it's much better than the MW3 campaign. I liked the MW3 multiplayer but, I am already preferring the BO6 multiplayer.
Same, can't wait for them to drop some new GunFight maps though, me and bro done wore these out lol. i really enjoy this game but new maps are crucial.
Like or not, its the one anti-piracy measure that no one has beaten yet. Its why so many AAA games use constant online connections these days. Ubisoft uses it for all their games.
Been playing since 2009, I'm 30 years now and honestly, the fast multiplayer doesn't bother me at all. I think MW3 was cleaner, but BO6 has way more personality. It still have some balancing problems that I expect to be adjusted soon (the XME ttk is crazy rn)
Same here! Been playing since 2007 and I’m 27 now. My first MP experience was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on PC. I actually first tried CoD when I played Call of Duty 3’s campaign on the Xbox 360 back in the day. It’s crazy how much time has passed and how different the franchise is now. I agree - MWIII was definitely cleaner, but BO6 has something about it that’s a little more fun & unique. I did enjoy playing the remastered MW2 maps on MWIII, but I feel like BO6 is more of a complete package overall. Like a lot of others online, I definitely have nostalgia for the old days: CoD 4, WaW, MW2, BO, MW3, BOII. Of the “newer” ones, I am one of those few people that actually really enjoyed Ghosts and Infinite Warfare. It’s too bad they’ve lost some of that creativity in willingness to try a new title, versus just forever making Modern Warfare and Black Ops games. Still, I hope Infinity Ward can recuperate with the eventual MWIV, though from what I’ve read recently, they’ve been having trouble with development and meeting Activision’s strict demands/schedule ☹️
I like the campaigns (usually) but I don’t buy the game because it’s not worth it just for a quick campaign play. Now I can do that with gamepass. Perfect for me!
Since early this week, at least, having only MWIII installed in CoD, it starts up in BO6 and to play MWIII, I got to select MWIII and the game restarts. Extremely frustrating when I have no plans for BO6 and have ONLY MWIII installed. Greedy leeches.
@@coraldiamond1922 That is frustrating. I'd rather use less money in the game if that happens instead of just sending me to the game I own. I'm not going to buy the new game any more just cause they do this. I'll just play MW instead.

I ran into a similar struggle in my playthrough of *Mass Effect 2* on my channel-there’s something so rewarding about taking on these 2010 classics, even now!
The takedowns and melee finishers in the campaign really did it for me, some of them were pretty damn brutal and I loved doing them every time even if they were a bit repetitive. Combat really flowed in this one.
The multiplayer is fun but alot of the maps are too small. And there are literally no notable guns. But the gameplay is still fun and nothing feels broken/overpowered.....yet
My thoughts too, fun enough, and some of the maps are great, but the spawns are dreadful and the gun selection is lacking in creativity. Kinda done with the modern setting honestly, the same equipment over and over is getting kinda boring. MW19 was still the best cod in recent years.

Dogshit take. The reason the downloads are so massive is because the developers don't know how to do 1 thing. Optimization. They could compress a MESS of things to make them take up less space. Every CoD has the same problem in that regard. They're just lazy.

Every game that is online-only should be boycotted. Even multiplayer only titles dont have to be online-only. Just throw in some bots in a local game mode in that case. This is a fail from CoD on two fronts
I keep saying that on online games all the time, that we should go back go fully player-hosted severs like in the old days. But nobody seems to care. And check out the top comment, even forced online for singleplayer is being accepted by some. This is a lost cause.
Is there a reason that online only affects the modern gamers ability to play a video game? Beyond the principle, is there a reason that this is hindering your ability to play the game? I don't know a single person that doesn't have internet in their home, and I definitely don't know a single person that games and doesn't have internet in their home. Heck, I haven't bought a physical copy of a game in years. Not ideal but I'd rather have online-required than a 350gb file.
I was going to buy this today, but I'm barely even "casual" on CoD games. This faster and faster gameplay has counted me out. Thanks for the heads up, guys. 👍🏻
May not even see this comment, but would you guys be open to a top 10 call of duty list? More than enough options at this point and I’m curious what your list would look like! Would also be great to go down memory lane like that!
It’s the first COD I’ve bought in over five years and it’s great. The gunplay, maps and modes for multiplayer are really high quality. As someone who has not bought a CoD since black ops 2 I was pleasantly surprised by this game. The zombies and the campaign are awesome and the multiplayer feels way more responsive and fast paced than before. I really loved the zombies open level in the campaign. It would be awesome if they release a call of duty that is solely focused on a zombies story.
The modern warfare reboot brought me back to cod from the first black ops. They did so well by being rooted in realism. They quickly went to rainbow tracers and costumes. Never again will I fall for that.

Is there a reason that online only affects the modern gamers ability to play a video game? Beyond the principle, is there a reason that this is hindering your ability to play the game?
