Indonesia really is beautiful this time of year.
I find it amazing that you get all that hp and torque from a 40 year old fourbanger that was never intended for it. Volvo had some stout engines, and they do not sound like anything else, sounds like a tractor on low revs.
well they did race them and they made some 200hp models and 180hp models funny enough the 200hp one was the smaller 2L 16v turbo meant for italy and other countries having a high tax jump above 2L displacement engines.
the 2.3L 16v did not see turbo charging from factory i guess because volvo did not see a need for it.
@@Stale_Mahoney yes but it seems you can get 300hp on them with ease without replacing any internals. They just seem overengineered for the HP they intended.
@@daw7563 im from sweden so obv i see them almost every day but 300k miles is pretty common for those, the often scrap them for other issues such as rust, my old 940 turbo had 335k miles/530 000km and i sold it running, now its newly inspected and still working

What an awesome build, so lightweight for what it is, i love that its still got the B230 in it but its tuned as fuck and it rips, and i like what you did with the engine bay it looks great, would love to see how this beast would do in a drift competition i bet it would surprise some people.

DUDE!! I use to drive an old 740 with a M46… this is insane!!! The getrag transmission out of an old E30 M3 5 speed.. the engine sounds sweet. Runs on ethanol!

Such a sick build. I grew up carpooling in this car in grade school with my brother and our friends. I was in the back, (rear facing seats) and had a lot of fun messing with people following too close. To see you having this much fun in the same wagon makes me so happy dude. Cant wait to see more content!~

Awesome 😎... I got a retroturbo angle kit for my 240. Has a cammed LS with built heads and dual valve springs and a SS intake with 92mm tb. Running the Nissan 300zx RS5R30A manual trans with a ford 8.8 with 3.73 with locked diff (not welded). And even with that the 3.73 gear is a bit low. I have a 400hp fwd whiteblock I can imagine the fun in a rwd 740 lol. The LS made 388whp and 395wtq but it's a high rev V8. She likes the 7k limiter and as much as I love the inline turbo sounds there's also something about a V8 with longtube headers and catless 3.5" exhaust that sounds so gnarly. I'm a great driver in a fwd but I don't have the drift experience yet. You def have it down pretty good and that thing looks like a ton of fun. Forgive me cause I'm sure it's been mentioned before but that has forged rods at least I'm guessing? That's about the only weak point under 500hp.

TRD make these door stabilizers that close the gap between chassis and door to zero. supposed to add rigidity and pretty sure they won an award for the invention. with the lack of materials on your doors and the fact you drift it, something like that would be game changing, idk something to look into that's easy chassis stiffening that is really overlooked

You will need to replace the 16v block with a b230 block to really use that head.
@@Low760 for sure. currently looking into cosmetic stuff rn, such as lowering, wheels, skirts etc. i rlly want to find a squirter and make a modest hp engine that is as reliable as possible.
You can flick that thing from lock to lock so perfectly, it does exactly what you want it to. What a rig.
Holy shit. When I bought my '89 Supra it had the 16 inch version of these wheels on it. Never been able to find another pic of them online or their name, I was at the point where I wasn't ever sure if they were legit A.R.E. wheels or not. They look sick on this thing! I also put a Momo Prototipo in that car hahaha, good combo.

Those ZF's are no joke, I have been unable to kill the one in my E46 diesel missile too, it's THE one transmission I have no qualms powershifting going sideways with zero issues, can't say the same for the T50's in my Toyota's or M4/9x's in my friends's Volvo's.
