Great video mate, I really like this style. I’m just going down the path of designing my 12v system. Do you have more any feedback on the system you designed and any additional detail on the wiring setup?
Good job mate, in the process of a build at the moment. I decided to build my own canopy, the Chinese canopies were a bit hit and miss and the Aussie canopies are just too expensive. Mine won’t look as pretty cause it’s square, 1 because I can’t weld aluminium and 2 because it’s more efficient space wise. My electrics will be practically identical to yours. Everything still good with your setup after a year?
Cheers mate. Nice you have the skills to build your own. Unfortunately we have sold our beloved Hilux but did quite a few trips before we sold it especially over the Simpson Desert and it handled everything really well.
Hi, Nice set up. The kings fridge 5 yr warranty and $800 is exactly the same as bushmans 2 yr warranty and $1600. I’m a fridge mechanic by trade and looked into them before I purchased. Would like to know more about yr draws. Cheers Out There Touring
Good job mate. I would have used formply myself. Have you thought about ventilation for those hot summer days to give your fridge and stuff a bit of a hand at keeping cool?
Cheers mate. Never really heard of or used formply before, but now I do. Yes have thought about ventilation but not yet decided on which way. We would normally open the canopy when at camp to help with cooling, so will see how that goes at first. Would be nice to just get some warm weather, feels like it has just been raining😂
@@ewkaus I've been out of the game too long, tried looking up form ply at bunnings they only stock 17mm, we used to get it in 9,12,15 and 19mm. Both sides have a dark brown smooth like glass finish. Yeah even driving along she can get pretty hot inside the canopy. Was hoping you had done it so I can assess mine when I get a canopy, 😂.
G'day mate, I am in the process of purchasing an alloy canopy for my ute. I found your UA-cam video very informative and helpful. My question is which CAD app did you use to measure the internal space of your canopy?
Nice vid!
Nice build.
Saving up $ to build one myself!
Thank you 🍻
That’s so cool, how much to build me one? Haha
Hey mate,
Would it be a possibility to get a broader tutorial of the drawers?
Or even a cad markup
Very nice
Thanks 😊

Cheers Mike glad it helped. I used an old version of Autocad.

How ironic. An Asian dude complaining about Chinese made stuff....😂
