you guys have to hear this live at the Po'land rock festival from a couple of months ago....big time concert song.
Pol'and'Rock was at midnight Poland time August 2nd.
That's what I was going to tell you, unfortunately you can't get the video of the concert or the song uploaded because it is blocked by copyright. But it was for me the best presentation of this song in ViVo in front of a big crowd with a brutal sound and lighting. Poles really know how to organize shows.
As far as I know, it’s blocked most places, but the whole set is worth searching out. The audience was amazing and the band seemed especially inspired by that.
"OPEN THE PIT" ..... Pau and Dani tell the crowd of approximately 300,000 festival goers. One of The Warning's best live performances thus far. Filmed professionally too with great audio.
I noticed something- “it’s the meat that really matters.. Does it really matter?” means that the sharks aren’t always attacking to survive- they could be doing it for fun. So, if “sharks” are a metaphor for haters and that kind of person, they’re attacking you for fun.
The sharks could be the haters, could be the music executives that make irrational demands or could be the same people of the mexican conservative society that pests them for being malequistas because they play english lyrics rock music. Basically this song is about arseholes.

Change “haters” to “greedy people” or to “manipulative people” and you would think that that line is talking about power. Just a second opinion on it.

“Sharks” could live equally as well on Keep Me Fed or Error.
Keep Me Fed, in general, is an evolution in their sound but “Sharks” has elements of their new sound with the heavy distortion but also elements of earlier songs with the strong driving hard rock beat and riffs.
They gave us the first 6 songs off Keep Me Fed incrementally which allowed the fanbase to absorb them at their own pace but when the full album dropped…Bam, right in your face!
IMO, the last 6 songs released are collectively a bit heavier overall than the first 6 but still have great diversity of styles.
I also think TW have leveled up with each new album release and that’s pretty cool because their first album XXI Century Blood was pretty damn good for a debut album.
Agreed! Even their earliest work, the songs they compiled on Escape the Mind, are fantastic - and played at the level of adult professional bands, when they were still kids - yet they've upped their game year after year! Truly world-class talents!
This is definitely not normally my style of choice, yet this has become my favorite song on the album. Ale's bass is pervasive, intimidating and scary. The vocals are chilling. Dany attacks with the chorus. A song for the ages. 🦈🦈🦈

At Wacken, when they started this song, Pau ordered the crowd to open the mosh pit! Then the crowd went crazy as they sang this song!!!🔥🤘⚡️
Probably my favorite song from Keep Me Fed! I love when The Warning leans into their heavy side!

At the Pol Rock festival their livevperformance of this song is just legendary. It even has Alejandra stepping up to the microphone "rapping" the spoken lyrics part of the song.
There are a few songs for the haters on this album. "Couldn't be everything that you wanted me to be

Their cover of 'Enter Sandman' may be the best cover of an epic classic rock song, ever!!) Their entire discography, to date, is immaculately conceived! They are, IMHO ...

Great reaction! I agree this song hits super hard. It might be my favorite on the new album, even though it’s pretty hard to choose a favor on an album filled with absolute bangers. I especially love the breakdown as you guys mentioned, and the fact that the music cuts out, leaving only the final scream at the end of the song. Pau sings the verse, Dany kicks it up loud for the chorus. This song ROCKS!!
Don’t know if you realized, but Pau (drummer) is singing those verses while playing the drums, and Dany (guitar) comes in on the choruses. My favorite song on the album (and I like every song). 😎👍

to me this track seems to be another one about social media and possibly also certain well known industries... "sharks" gather around all the makers, influencers, and artists waiting on them to mess up or put out something the "sharks" can shred to pieces... maybe these "sharks" do this tearing down of others as a way to try to build themselves up? idk but yes, there are and have been shark-like people in every communications platform i have seen and participated in over the last 40+ years...
Ale's bass is so menacing, predatory, and fearsome... like the bass in the soundtrack of "Jaws" but so much more rhythmic and deep 🤯
that bass really stands out and drives so many of these new tracks relentlessly... LOCURA!
sonically, this track is perfect in its depiction of this ugly aspect of our society...
