This song sung by them at Pol'and'Rock Festival on August 1 for 300+ thousand people was a killer. The best song of a great set. A pity that all versions were taken down.
@@fernandovelasquezteniente590 On the official radio station connected to the festival (Antyradio) The Warning song Six Feet Deep was #1 in the week after the concert.
Dany is playing her Fender baritone more and more, getting a lower growlier sound than she gets from her standard PRS's. Also, you'll notice from the part where she stands up that seome of the percussion is from a track.
I saw The Warning live in Denver in May of last year. Amazing sound while in the crowd. I found a fan cam of the same show a couple weeks later. It was a fan who travels around and records a lot of TW shows (Martin TW) and he uses a fairly good quality camera, not a phone. Even his higher quality camera still doesn’t capture the live in venue sound 💯 like it really is when you’re there. I agree with Ash that even the new cell phones don’t record all that well especially if you’re anywhere close to the stage. The bass and drums just blow out the higher pitched parts. I also agree with Dave that cell phones can make pretty decent recordings if your back away from the stage especially if your close to where the sound engineer is because it captures the audio closer to what the sound engineer is hearing and adjusting for. Talk about playing both sides of the conversation while hopefully making a practical point…lol.
Being old, I'm impressed with how great phones do audio and video recording today. They are still rubbish compared to a medium quality setup though. :)
Pau (the drummer) does occasionally shout at the crowd, several times recently when they've played this song the crowd has been asked by Pau to "open the pit" . I wouldn't disagree with her, she is small but feisty😄❤🤘
I would've recommended the studio version for their first listen. Idk why people keep recommending live when the only videos available are poor quality
Pau ordered the crowd at both Wacken and Poland rocks show to open the Pit and you what they obeyed ... watched someone react to this from Poland show they got it from Twitch and it think their react is still up
If you can find it; the Poland Rocks festival is professionally filmed by Poland TV, and has way better sound quality. They copy righted the whole set though. It’s out there somewhere.
#ImwithAsh its ok to desire a better sound. Someone people FEEL it in their whole being when it sounds as it should and ifbit sounds off it can be hard to even enjoy something you actually like. Im a relapsed recovering audiophileaholic
Several factors contribute to the quality of audio, primarily the venue. A recording of a small night club, an amphitheater or a outdoor stadium will sound different depending on the venue’s internal space, where the height of the ceiling, how many things sound can bounce off, and where you are standing near an amp. Plus many modern phone cameras are programmed to adjust for loudness which could result in unbalanced sound. I suppose the biggest selling point for this video (which isn’t bad in context IMO) is it’s the first live performance of “Sharks”
@@trex9263 not entirely true, the best position to be in any venue is where the sound board is situated, that's where the engineer programs the sound. Last year I video'd next to the sound board at a music venue in Phoenix, the audio my external mic picked up could attest to that, but as I was packing up, a couple went up to the engineer and complained that the band over powered Haley. Both can be true at the same time, where she sat, she heard the orchestra over Haley, whereas where I was, the audio was perfectly balanced. I've recorded videos in almost a hundred venues at this point and I've had decent enough audio from my iPhone that even though I've gotten access for my external microphones, I still record w/ my iPhone in for back up. You can never have enough back up/B roll... Post editing makes a major difference, something most UA-camrs don't bother to do. Phone camera mics have come a long way even from ten years ago.
@@donrichards271 no kidding, captain obvious neither would any external mic. I’m talking about recording quality , some recordings are better than others because of the environment they’re taken in and not the recording device
@@HaleysTusk And the best recording environment in the world won't improve a fonecam above not horrible. So as trex said, main culprit is still the recording device, not the environment.
Such a shame that almost the entire Pol'and'Rock show got taken down, when Pau commands to open the pit you know sharks come circling. I was at their last headliner for the European 'Keep Me Fed' tour and next to the pit demanded to be opened she also invited the crowd to join in on her 'scream of destruction' so of course we obliged! It was great to watch them inviting the whole team onstage after the concert, even the la WaWa drivers got a shoutout. Good to see they are not letting their current, well deserved, succes go to their heads and remain humble and appreciative.
In a different fan video of this performance, we see one of Ale's roles in the band, which seems to be keeping Pau and Dany between the lines. She guides the intro with her right hand. Dany watches her and starts when she signals.
As others have said, the drummer is Paulina "Pau". Guitarist/lead vocals is Daniela "Dany" and bassist is Alejandra "Ale". They're sisters and have had their band for about 11 years, since Alejandra, the youngest, was only 8!
The phone sometimes follows the direction of the camera, highlighting what the camera sees. Getting a singing drummer's vocals up loud is always a challenge.
You are both right. Yes, you can get good recordings from phones now. Sadly, this wasn't one of them. Phone recordings depend largely on where the filmer is located in the venue, and type of venue. The smaller venues have better sound about halfway back. Too close to the stage and vocals get lost due to the amps on the stage. Too far back and you start getting echoes from the sound hitting the wall behind you. Generally front balcony is even better if there is good sized balcony.
Unfortunately, this is the only song that Pau sings lead vocals on, and it's only for the verses. She does sing the chorus on Consume, though. She also cusses in that song, as well. 😈
About not being able to hear their voices: I’ve noticed in a lot of their songs, even album versions, their voices seemed to be mixed a little lower. They could really do themselves more justice by having the vocals mixed more prominently.
