I've been using this foundation for months along with the High Adherence primer from The Ordinary and the Poreless primer from Tarte, and it's done wonders for me. I agree with the top comments - this isn't a fair review. She knows that she's oily, she should have used a different primer.

Just remember that makeup gurus have professional cameras with studio lighting everywhere to make their skin look flawless, in real life it looks like everyone’s else’s, don’t be so hard on yourself x
I wish more influencers would do a FULL review of foundations where if they think the primer etc is the problem, they test it out and really see. This is a cliff hanger and that drives me. I wouldn’t want the second attempt to be in a different video either. I just want it all in one video. Yes it would take longer to film and edit but it would be wayyy more worth it. Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets annoyed by this...
Angie at Hot and Flashy tests foundations over a period of days but includes all results in one video. I highly recommend her channel for people with mature skin also.
actually i was just testing this product and i have exytremly dry skin and didnt use the primer i used a different primer and i had the same issues i was wondering if it was just me or my primer but maybe it just doesnt work for everyone?
I agree with many of the other people who have commented. It's not a fair foundation review if you're testing it with a primer you've never tried before. I'd really like to see you test out this foundation with a primer you know that you like.
Typically in foundation reviews, the person will put primer on one half of their face and keep the other half bare. That way they can see how the foundation wears with and without a primer. But she used a primer (that she never used before) all over her face.
I tried the Serum Foundation recently and have never had so many compliments on my skin. I thought the consistency was super watery when I first swatched, and was worried I was between shades, but once blended out it was a nice light to medium coverage that looked like my skin but so much better. No issues with powders or other creams when combined, though I did re-powder around the middle of the day. Total wear was 10 hours, including time in a respirator at work, with no real issues. It did transfer on my face PPE, but still looked great even after a long, active, day in lab. I do home you'll try the Serum version with your normal primer (I've tried with primers and just with a good moisturizer with similar results, and my skin in oily combination).
Me too. I have both, this foundation she reviewed is amazing on my skin. I use the serum foundation for daily wear, and the coverage for special occaisions. I haven't bought the ordinary primers tho..
natalie xoxo I haven't tried the primers either. I stick with Smashbox or a good moisturizer, as those are the only two things that don't tend to irritate my sensitive skin.
SiriusScientist Just wanna say hey to a fellow lab lady! The stuggle to find a foundation that looks great after PPE use, long hours and in heinous fluorescent lighting is soooo real!
I got the serum foundation and the coverage foundation and I cannot stand the coverage one! It slides off my skin after a few hours which never happens with any other foundation but the serum foundation is my HOLY GRAIL! I have combination skin and work as a spa therapist (so I'm around a lot of oil and heat) but it stays put and looks great throughout the whole day and it literally blends like a dream! 😍
Ciara Leavy I just bought the coverage one and I'm not into it. I don't think it gives much coverage at all. What is the coverage like in the serum one?
+ThatsWhatSheSaid it's medium coverage, but very buildable and doesn't look cakey if you layer on top. I only ever use one pump and it covers redness and dull skin but you can still see skin under it, if you know what I mean, my freckles would still be seen but I like that personally. And it's very lightweight on the skin but would need to powder it if using bronzer and that because it stays quiet tacky. Honestly it's a complete polar opposite to the coverage foundation, still has good coverage (I think putting serum in the name is kinda deceiving) and just last a lot longer😊
YES! Same here. The coverage one creases and greases and the serum one, while more sheer, just works. And stays. Still waiting for the promised watercolors one :P
Love to hear her thoughts also! It's been reformulated! Works amazing on my dry skin incase anyone reading this has dry skin! More dewy/natural finish on myself!
I have combo/oily skin and my skin is a little dehydrated sometimes and maybelline foundation is amazing! The coverage is superb,it doesn't cling to my dry patches and it has amazing staying power ☺
I have combination skin, drier in winter, more oily in summer. I've been on a very long search for a good drug store foundation and have yet to find one.
PuristMe You should try this one,I put moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin underneath and in this 8hr wear it did not get oily in my t-zone but it's not completely matte also,it has more of a natural finish on my skin. It slightly got cakey around my nose but just when you look really closely (to me happens with every foundation). Hope I helped
you should test it again with a different primer! If it does work then it would be amazing to find a longwearing affordable foundation with a dewy finish and thats also full coverage. it sounds like my personal dream lol
I've been using this or my milani foundation during the day for months. If you have drier skin or combo is fantastic. The primer is horrible underneath it for some odd reason. It is dewy but I like that. Definitely worth a try! It does oxidise a touch. I'm a vanilla in milani and a 1.2n in the ordinary. Oh, make sure it's not the serum foundation when you order 😉
I LOVE the foundation. I'm VERY pale and the lightest shade is the closest match to my skin tone. I've never had a foundation be so close to my fair skin. I have dry skin and I still set my face and it lasts all day. I LOVE it.
Yes I agree with most of the comments here!! This foundation is awesome but not the primer. Maybe they were made to support each other but in reality NOPE! I'm over 40 and this primer shows every flaws and just made any foundation looking worse. The foundation actually is a holygrail for me and i chose it over my $85 Shiseido foundation or the new Fenty foundation. THIS FOUNDATION IS AWESOME! Honestly!✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Cashmere Sutel really?? I dunno...I don't really see it that way. Maybe because the shade I've got is 2YG. it's the one with gold reflection so it looks like a natural finish on me
l0ovechild47 ...She bought a range of shades when she reviewed Loreal Infallible foundation. At the time I was new to her videos and I see that she's remained consistent to her viewers.
I found that this foundation works best for me if I apply 1 pump RIGHT after my moisturizer is rubbed in. Then I blend and set with a beauty blender, setting spray and powder and I get a really nice finish, just slightly heavier than a CC cream. Everyone asks me what is on my skin. But if I wait and add primer and then apply, I get creasing and oily skin and it gets patchy.
Tati, Thank you so much for thinking of us chocolate women and showing samples for us to see. Thank you for caring about all of the demographics samples watching your videos. Have an excellent day.
Ema lmao eyebrows aren’t supposed to be the same color as your hair. If you’re blonde they should be darker and if you’re brunette they should be lighter
I like that she bought it because I am pale as hell, and no foundation is ever light enough. When people talk about the darkest shades, that's a cue to me that the company went all-out and I might find something for me! We all win when people think about shades other than "medium tan!"
Lum-Bih Tashi My daughters are super pale & the 1.0 shades are about the only foundation in the drugstore price range I've ever found to match them flawlessly.
Tati PLEASE do a do over with this foundation, their primers have mixed reviews and it's not entirely fair to judge a foundation when the primer you're using is new too! Use the scientific method if you're gonna be a makeup investigator. Isolate a single variable and keep everything else "constant." That way since you know how the rest of your makeup preforms we know that the problem is with the new thing you're trying rather than something else.
I ordered that primer way back in April along with the foundations. Settled for using the other Ordinary primer first, and when I checked back on the high spreadability one, it shrunk in volume without anyone using it or even opening it. Others have said the same. Weeeeeeeeird.
Agreed. I hated it with this primer but with a different primer or no primer at all, it doesn't crease or slide around. I have fairly normal, balanced skin now though after getting into a good skincare regimen that works for me.
I’m actually really shocked cause I use this as my daily foundation and I don’t get any of these problems!:( mine even lasted a gym session the other day!
I know it reminds me how I fail to please my gf with my three centimeter Peter.... I tell her three centimeters can do alot of damage going 500 mph so before me n her have sex now I cover my body with the foundation In this video and get a running start and slide in that pussy 🏃💨😈
My husband just text me saying “it’s Tati time”. He’s apparently been watching some of your videos without me knowing after I showed him the video James did for you
But guys if she tests it out with like a high end primer, my ass can afford the foundation but not the expensive primer so that makes it even more confusing for people who are on a budget. I would rather have a no primer test.
I try to buy my foundations based on how well they work WITHOUT primer, because let's be honest, primers really haven't been in the game for a long time and I had a lot of great results over the years without using primer. I really only use primers if I'm doing my makeup for a special occasion, and I don't know why, because I usually wish I hadn't. So many of the moisturizers are made to act as a primer anyway so sometimes it's just too many layers of makeup and it seems to wear away faster.
@@jen5487 So true! I use an Aloe Vera gel as moisturizer and after that, some facial sunscreen. The sunscreen has a kind of stickyness to it that makes it perfect to use as a primer, so that's what I'm using right now. Everytime I try a different 'primer' I end up crying.
Ordinary should make a long wearing foundation. I'm glad u reviewed this. I was really interested in both the primer and foundation. But now I don't think it's for me.
I want to see Tati have James give her a foundation she knows nothing about and use it without knowing the name or brand and give a review then do research and go over it
THANK YOU TATI!!!!!!! for including the deeper shade ranges, I really appreciate it! It's a serious issue, and these brands have no excuse. The ones who do it deserve the recognition.
Ashley Holada good to know because I am loving my serum foundation, and bought the high adherence primer but haven't cracked it open yet! I'm not as into full coverage stuff as Tati is, though.
I have oily skin and I find this looks really nice when I use something like urban decay deslick underneath so oily gals don't be scared!! Especially for the price stick an oil preventing primer on and some powder and you should be good to go!! Xo
shannon rockliffe defo! i agree with investing in a good primer, i find it works incredibly with the maybelline babyskin pore eraser primer and the rcma no colour powder😍
I also purchased this foundation a couple months ago and I really enjoy it! I use it with the clinique pep hydroblur moisturizer on the outerpart of my face and the benefit porefessional on the T-zone and it's flawless! I also like to combinate this foundation with the HD liquid coverage foundation from catrice and it looks really amazing after applying. But I have to agree with you Tati, the ordinary foundation is nothing for people with oily skin.
I used the niveau men afthershave under neath it. No creasing .. Looks so good and i did notice that is adapt to my skin cus i have 2.1 its quite yellow but im more nc 40/42 en turns more olive brownish
Really? Her skin isn't that great.. I don't see it. 🤷🏻♀️ her skin actually looks bad and very textured without makeup and there are many spots and discoloration. Everyone says she has good skin but I don't see it lol maybe once makeup is on but that's it lol
Genavieve C yeah I agree, I hate to pass comment on other people’s looks etc, but I was surprised to see Tati with blocked pores on the cheeks, blemish chin etc. Considering her skincare regimen ya know? To be fair it’s nice that she shows her flaws 🤷🏻♀️
just commenting so I get notifications... I always thought considering how much money and time she spends on her skin care, it doesn't show... I am beginning to think after a point, extra steps and products don't make a difference...
Texan here- It bothers me personally to see people wearing shoes in houses and I try my best to not do it. You track in whatever was out there in the world and potentially grind it into your carpet! And I mean... uncomfortable! Wear slippers or go barefoot lol
I wear my shoes inside until I take them off, which I don't do until I'm sure I'm done running in and out. No way am I going to take off, put on, take off, put on, EVERY time I run in and out from the car or the laundry room or watering the plants or whatever.
Tati I have the same issue. It’s really hit and miss for me!! Some days I have the best makeup days wearing this foundation but pleaseeee try the serum foundation it’s 100x better
Tati! Will you try the other makeup like products from Deciem? I'm thinking of the photography foundation, the pore delete, the Matte 12 and the HA blur from Hylamide!
Ally D from the sound of your list I’m thinking you might have more oily skin, which I do too. I tried the Pore Delete and it’s like GLUE! So gummy and gross feeling. It made me poreless but you’d never be able to go out in public like that. So just a heads up on that one.
I felt exactly the same as you! I felt I might be doing something wrong as it was a raved about foundation but it just didn't sit well on my skin. I tried different primers and even wore it without a primer but sadly, not a good one for me. I tested the serum too and exactly the same, a huge thumbs down lol. It's good to see how a foundation sits on the skin close up, great review Hun. Xxx
Try it again. It’s the primer. Fleur de Force hates the primer too. It’s an amazing company and a good foundation. I think you should have tried it with your normal primer. That’s what you normally do.
If you're super pale and have DRY skin, I'd recommend this foundation and primer. This video is a perfect example of it not working for other skin types. I have both foundation formulas from The Ordinary and I honestly prefer the serum foundation over this one. It's my holy grail foundation. That primer also works better on dry skin, so I really think that's where this went wrong for you. I have dry skin and I still use the primer very sparingly in the places where I really need it (around my nose and forehead). I hope that the brand comes out with other formulations that can cater to a wider variety of skin types in the future. Please give the skincare products a try, Tati! That's where the brand truly shines IMO.
I use this foundation and have oily skin... I use it with Deciem hylamide pore minimiser as the Deciem primers all make my foundation slide.. I have to say it is the best foundation I've used and I've tried hundreds... For the money give it a go, but be careful what you use under it... It is a serum in its own right and doesn't need loads under it, I also find its much better to blend with fingers than anything else... I do powder over the top
I’ve been using this foundation on and off for a few months, I really like it. The primer did nothing for me it actually made the foundation look horrible on my skin. I almost tossed out both but then tried it out with my regular primer, game changer the foundation wore longer and looked better.
I really appreciate Tati purchasing deeper shades. Majority of makeup gurus would not do that but with her buying these foundations, it always gives me an idea of how light or dark I would need to be. For instance, the orangey foundation, 3.1, would work for me. THANK YOU TATI😊💓
This foundation creases on me like crazy, however, I keep using it cause 2.1Y is the perfect shade for me I can never find that cheap at the drugstore. My skin is ridiculously oily so any other foundations would crease on me and move around - Tati please save me and give advice on really oily skin! I have been struggling for a while, as in, after a few hours of wearing makeup I am so oily and greasy all I want to do is remove the makeup. Milani Conceal and Perfect sounds like a good alternative but I cannot find it in the uk!
elseavers the soap and glory one heck of a blot primer is my lord and savior. It works sooo well on my oily skin. Also setting the primer with a light dusting of translucent powder really helps
I also have extremely oily skin and use the fenty beauty foundation & the too face sweet peach matte one. I still get really oily with them but not as fast & the fenty beauty blotting powder literally makes all the oil disappear! It’s amazing
If your profile picture is actually you then I can already tell you that the Milani is not gonna have a shade pale enough. I can only wear their lightest shade during the summer (and that's the NEW lightest shade that just came out)
Hi Tati! I am a loyal viewer and love the way you try out new products. I especially LOVE the check-ins throughout the day. That, to me, is the most important part of the reviews. I am an EMT and work very long, sweaty shifts, so the durability factor is SO important. I was hoping you could review the entire make-up line recently released by Burt's Bees, most interestingly, the foundation. I have always loved their products and the natural ingredients the company stands by. Love what you do!! Thanks!
Same like I see people complain when foundation breaks apart after like 8-10 hours and I’m like GIRL I HAVENT FOUND ONE THAT DOESNT DO THAT AFTER 4 HOURS I JUST ACCEPTED IT AS A FACT OF LIFE BY NOW
I don't think I've ever replied to a comment on here but I thought it was necessary to help out my fellow oily skin ladies lol. Have you guys tried Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation? Because it has literally changed my LIFE. That stuff stays intact until you scrub it off.
Kianna Stickle even estee Lauder gets oily on me after 3 hours, but that's amazing compared to other foundations, which start getting super shiny around 30 minutes for me 😅 it's the best foundation formula I've found so far tho
I have the coverage and the serum foundation and I LOVE them. The coverage one is good for my everyday and serum one is just if I need to look decent for a short errand with no makeup on. The primers are ok..I have the silicone and the fluid one...the fluid one is terrible for my oily skin but the silicone one is good...not great. These foundations are not for glam, heavy looks...comparing this to my Estee Lauder double wear, or even my Milani one, the Ordinary is for very natural looks. If I want very high coverage, I'll mix it with my loreal infallible or my wet and wild. Aside from the foundation, their skin care serums have absolutely changed my skin life...I highly recommend them
I LOVE the serum foundation (the light/natural version of this one.) ! The coverage foundation a little less. I like that they have very light colors and they're cheap!
I adore their foundation. My mature skin doesn't look good in any full coverage so I use their serum foundation. I use a drop of rosehip oil in it before putting it on. I do have that primer but not a fan of it. They have a new line of watercolor foundations coming out soon. I am excited to try those!!!
For dry skin this primer is actually super nice! I use this under the L’Oréal trublend and I don’t even like that foundation without that primer. It turns that kind of matte foundation into a nice dewy situation
Hey Tati! Next time when you do a first impressions on foundation AND primer, could you possibly put the new primer on half your face and your usual primer routine on the other half. That way we can see BOTH the effects of primer and foundation at the same time! Rather than not being able to tell whether it’s the foundation not working or the primer :( thanks a lot!
You need the Hylamide HA Blur, also from Deciem. Seriously the best pore minimizer! I use this foundation, but I've always felt like it was hard to blend in. Once blended I love how it looks, but then again, I use the hylamide HA blur.. or the Josie Maran surreal skin primer. Thank you for finally reviewing a Deciem product! I really just love what they stand for and would love to see more videos on their skincare and other products.
you should of bought the High-Adherence Silicone Primer, it is only $4.90 and thats cheaper than the one you used. its one of my favorites and it gives a blurring of the pores. I love this brand and use so many of their products.
Do you get the High-Adherence Silicone Primer to work with the full coverage foundation? I have normal skin verging on the dryer side, and for some reason this foundation looks really dry after an hour. I will have to try the foundation sans primer and with a different primer later to know more.
@@0liv3 When you’re very fair if a foundation has a different undertone that’s not perfect to yours it’ll look a lot darker, way more than if you were in the medium spectrum. On top of that there’s people that have albinism and might need next level fair foundation.
*this was just a poor review in my opinion,* tati usually kills it but she clearly didn't read what she was buying, she decided to buy the liquid primer which is meant for dry skin, instead of the silicone one which is more similar to what she usually uses. also not the best idea to try two new products in one go, since you can't isolate which one does what, the primer or the foundation...
I used this foundation with no primer at all, and honestly it looked fab for 8 hours, although I have normal skin. Definitely worth trying with your normal primer. Also if you are oily you can set this foundation with a light powder foundation.
I’m so confused by the amount of product she used. No bashing- but it looked like half the bottle was on her face. I love this foundation and I use less than 1 single pump. Idk about others but when I pack too much product on my skin, that’s when I get creases and look like an oily mess 🤷🏼♀️
Me too..i love both this and serum foundations..i didn't re order my Georgio armani luminous silk or dior air flash bc I love these foundations so much. I ordered a ton of them too lol
Caty Waffle you know what you’re right she is the sweetest and most beautiful ( inside and out ) makeup artist i know and you are a beautiful person for reminding me that beauty is inside and put💛
I’m so happy you did a review on this foundation,i was planning on ordering it in a few days. Seriously you are my favorite reviewer on UA-cam! Love you so much Tati!! 💖💖💖💖 I love your reviews so much, you are so thorough! 😍
Can you please do another review of the foundation with your usual primer??? I’m so curious if the problem is the primer or the foundation.....or both?
It's all well and good talking about Milani conceal and perfect over and over but it runs SUPER yellow and has no fair shades. Bad shade and undertone range. Edit: Damn 250 of you agree! Also, if you're looking for a cheap high coverage base, try the LA girl pro conceal. It's what I use for a cheap foundation and it has a fantastic range. I do have to mix it with their white and my own mixers but not much and the coverage stays very well. I'm intensely pale, I have to mix everything so that's not something to judge it by haha. Also, because it works as a foundations and concealer, you can use different (or the same!) shades for your entire base. Worth a try.
I've been using this foundation for months along with the High Adherence primer from The Ordinary and the Poreless primer from Tarte, and it's done wonders for me. I agree with the top comments - this isn't a fair review. She knows that she's oily, she should have used a different primer.

good idea

I agree with many of the other people who have commented. It's not a fair foundation review if you're testing it with a primer you've never tried before. I'd really like to see you test out this foundation with a primer you know that you like.
Julie McLean she stated she was going to
right she should have tested with not a new primer, to keep that as a control so she could be sure any issues were related to the foundation only.
Yeah but to be fair, it's a primer made by the same company that makes the foundation. It's a pretty safe bet.
she messed this up then offered a strong suggestion to not use it if u have oily skin...compounding her mistake 😐
Why is it that Tati always tests out new foundations with her favorite primer, but this one she didn't?
Jules O. Why would you even try out new foundations with a primer? Doesn’t that have an impact on the real finish of the make up
Typically in foundation reviews, the person will put primer on one half of their face and keep the other half bare. That way they can see how the foundation wears with and without a primer. But she used a primer (that she never used before) all over her face.
clock it da haussss
Caty Waffle if you use primer in your daily makeup routine, why wouldn’t you? 🤔
Idk maybe because it was released at the same time

It is dewy but I like that. Definitely worth a try! It does oxidise a touch. I'm a vanilla in milani and a 1.2n in the ordinary. Oh, make sure it's not the serum foundation when you order 😉
Omg you need the la girl foundation
Emma Tierney what's wrong with the serum foundation?
LA girl luminous foundation is my fav, I love it
Yes, try it with your fave primer!!
jadedjadejay did she ever try it and show?
I LOVE the foundation. I'm VERY pale and the lightest shade is the closest match to my skin tone. I've never had a foundation be so close to my fair skin. I have dry skin and I still set my face and it lasts all day. I LOVE it.
Tati I love that you swatched darker shades. It really makes a positive difference about being diverse regardless of your skin tone. Thank you.
CLOCK IT DA HAUSSSS
L Dharmadi I have to agree, I found the foundation actually very mattifying on its own so be careful this formula really picks up what you put under
L Dharmadi Tati should have bought the silicone primer from The Ordinary. The one she bought is for drier, more mature skin.
Have you tried it with the silicone primer? Or no primer? Any tips? I got some as a gift and now I’m scared to use it lol Thanks L Dharmadi
Cashmere Sutel really?? I dunno...I don't really see it that way. Maybe because the shade I've got is 2YG. it's the one with gold reflection so it looks like a natural finish on me
Gurl Tati always comes through with shade swatches for all of us.😘💖
Terri Darnell Ikr.... I love that she always swatches on her channel!!💗
l0ovechild47 ...She bought a range of shades when she reviewed Loreal Infallible foundation.
Have an excellent day.
this hair colour makes your eyes pop so much damnn
she looks stunning here
I looove dark hairs with blue eyes
If only she would match her eyebrows color with her hair color...
Max i Feel an emo vibe
Ema lmao eyebrows aren’t supposed to be the same color as your hair. If you’re blonde they should be darker and if you’re brunette they should be lighter
The ordinary serum foundation works wonders for my dry skin, I love it.
Thanks for buying the darker shades, Tati. It makes me feel represented and loved. Happy holidays to you, James and you PUP! 💜
I'm always so happy to show off a great shade range! So glad you enjoyed it!
xo's
So amazing Tati bought those shades 😍😍😍! From personal use though the undertones are off in the dark shades and it was bad for my oily skin
I love that that's important to her and she's very critical about it bc so many other "gurus" don't even mention it
I like that she bought it because I am pale as hell, and no foundation is ever light enough.
10000000% agree with you.
I ordered that primer way back in April along with the foundations. Settled for using the other Ordinary primer first, and when I checked back on the high spreadability one, it shrunk in volume without anyone using it or even opening it. Others have said the same. Weeeeeeeeird.
EXACTLY what I was thinking!
jayharker yeah the primer has a ridiculous short life span
Are you still using it ? And fo you have an oily/combination skin ?
Heyyy are you still using it and do you have a dry skin
Leena A heya, I have combination/oily skin :)
I have oily/combination gal! X
Maybe with another primer this foundation will work better! I really like your check ins and a glimpse of your outfit in your videos Tati!! xxxx
I don't like when I see the "Fail" in the video, it's kind like a spoiler :(
I want the mistery, the suspense of not knowing if it will work for you
Magaly Mejia *mystery
I know it reminds me how I fail to please my gf with my three centimeter Peter.... I tell her three centimeters can do alot of damage going 500 mph so before me n her have sex now I cover my body with the foundation In this video and get a running start and slide in that pussy 🏃💨😈
Matthew Kliessendorff 😂😂😂😂
Pretty sure she does it so people stop false advertising with her thumbnails 😊
Awww sweety...we don't always get what we want.
It’s SO interesting to see how different products affect different people: I’m super oily and LOVE the serum foundation.
You have yo try the new UD concealer. People say its very sinilar to the tarre shape tape
Yessss I love your OOTDS! You are soo gorgeous! I get excited whenever I see your notification lol Love you💗
Thank you so much Sofia!
xo's
You are awesome. Thank you for getting the deeper tones as well. I really appreciate that.
My husband just text me saying “it’s Tati time”. He’s apparently been watching some of your videos without me knowing after I showed him the video James did for you
This is AMAZING!! Haha!
xo's
Lol. Me, every time Tati uploads. It's Tati time!!!
Melissa Hancock OMG I loveeee this!
LOVE the outfit. I’m glad you started doing outfit of the day
But guys if she tests it out with like a high end primer, my ass can afford the foundation but not the expensive primer so that makes it even more confusing for people who are on a budget. I would rather have a no primer test.
you know, there has to be something to complain about.. you're totally right
I try to buy my foundations based on how well they work WITHOUT primer, because let's be honest, primers really haven't been in the game for a long time and I had a lot of great results over the years without using primer.
If you're oily and you want an affordable primer the silicone one by the ordinary is only $4.90 and it would be better than the fluidity for oily skin
I never wear primer my skins too dry. But i dont care too much if my makeup fades lol.
Ordinary should make a long wearing foundation. I'm glad u reviewed this. I was really interested in both the primer and foundation. But now I don't think it's for me.
Amber Allen I was already looking at their website an hr ago. I'm waiting to see when they release their new watercolor range inc a matte foundation.
Two For Joy Spirit I think the Watercolor foundation will be available in December
Try the primer!!! Just don't use their foundation with it. I use it every day and I like it almost better than the SmashBox photo finish primer :)
I want to see Tati have James give her a foundation she knows nothing about and use it without knowing the name or brand and give a review then do research and go over it
Olivia John cool idea!
That's an amazing idea actually!
Love this idea!
THANK YOU TATI!!!!!!! for including the deeper shade ranges, I really appreciate it! It's a serious issue, and these brands have no excuse. The ones who do it deserve the recognition.
I use the serum one with the high adherence silicone primer and I'm in love! super light, covers the skin but still lets my freckles show.
Ashley Holada good to know because I am loving my serum foundation, and bought the high adherence primer but haven't cracked it open yet! I'm not as into full coverage stuff as Tati is, though.
What skin type do you have ? I just bought these two, so I’m waiting for their arrival. I’m also curious of the wear time ! :)
Combo but on the dry side with some acne
Thank you !
Omg that’s what my problem is!! I want to cover my redness but I love my freckles:( I don’t want to cover them!
I have oily skin and I find this looks really nice when I use something like urban decay deslick underneath so oily gals don't be scared!! Especially for the price stick an oil preventing primer on and some powder and you should be good to go!! Xo
shannon rockliffe im suuuuuper oily and i LOVE this foundation!!! its soo worth the money and defo one of the best ive tried
Leah Edwards yes I agree!! You can 100% make it work xx
shannon rockliffe defo! i agree with investing in a good primer, i find it works incredibly with the maybelline babyskin pore eraser primer and the rcma no colour powder😍
Leah Edwards I use the fenty primer then de slick in my oily patchs, T zone ect then the coty airspun and I love it 😋
Im super oily as well, and love it!
Basically its perfect for me btw milani didnt work for me so
Thats why i tried this out
The Ordinarys other primer is 100 times better.
Casie At The 393 the High Adherence Primer is the bomb!
did tati dye her hair?
Olivia That's the first thing I thought. I love it! ☺☺☺☺
Yes!
I love it 😍
I use this foundation with the Smashbox primer and it looks amazing.
Luis Pizarro I'll have to try that combination.
I wish I looked like Tati fresh out of bed.
You are gorgeous!
The replies are cancer.
p sure they arent commenting on how her skin looks lol.. shes a normal person, shes bound to have blemishes and noticeable pores..
Random question: Do American's always wear shoes indoors? Why? lol
Josée Darquise no. Depends on the person.
Not everyone. I wear slippers inside. Not regular shoes. But a lot of people do
Texan here- It bothers me personally to see people wearing shoes in houses and I try my best to not do it.
Josée Darquise No 😂 some people do, not sure why. But not usually
I'm glad you are going to give it another try. I'm curious how it will work with better primer.
I love always being able to count on Tati's consistent videos and amazing content! 💋
Try the Ordinary Serum Foundation that's way better than the Coverage Foundation.
Hawai Lolo I think it has too light coverage for Tati, she likes more coverage. 😊
+Katarina Lavass I have the serum one and it's buildable without being too heavy.
True! I hate the coverage one but the serum one is fantastic
I agree, I think that the serum one is better 💯
I have both and I prefer the serum, and get the same sort of coverage if I build it. I like the coverage but it’s a bit dewy for me.
I like it that You always mention about the Ingredients of the products you reviews. It helps me a lot to choose my make ups. Thanks, Tati!
The ‘incredibly fair’ is my perfect shade 😍
I haven’t finished watching the video yet, but I imagine it doesn’t work for Tati 🤔
Isobel Lloyd a lot of people have sakd in the comments w a different primer the foundation works great
Nope! It has never worked for me! Always greasy and separates! I’ve tried to like it
you are so inspirational Tati
xoxo
hi from South Africa
Tati I have the same issue. It’s really hit and miss for me!! Some days I have the best makeup days wearing this foundation but pleaseeee try the serum foundation it’s 100x better
Makeup or no makeup, you always look beautiful! I hope you and James have a Happy Thanksgiving! xoxo!
Thank you so much for watching Brittany!
xo's
Can you review the ordinary serum foundation?? I think it's much better than the full-coverage foundation!
Ugh I need an updated skin routine tati you are looking amazing
always love how classy and real you are tati ❤️
Ally D I love the HA Blurring primer!
The HA Blur primer is amazing! I've tried a lot of pore minimizing primers and its by far the best
That's so great to hear! It's pretty reasonably priced so I've been wanting to try it!
I’d love to see her try that! I’ve seen their products around and wondered if the foundation was any good
I felt exactly the same as you!
Your hair looks darker and I love it💕
JayJay the Makeup Boi ikr it's so pretty
JayJay the Makeup Boi yas
JayJay the Makeup Boi yes 👏👏👏💕💕💕
JayJay the Makeup Boi I noticed that too!!
I noticed that in yesterday's vid
I’ve been using this foundation on and off for a few months, I really like it. The primer did nothing for me it actually made the foundation look horrible on my skin. I almost tossed out both but then tried it out with my regular primer, game changer the foundation wore longer and looked better.
Tati!!! That berry toned lip really makes your green eyes pop! 🍇💕
Yas! Thank you Tati😘💖 your honest videos make my day!❤
I love watching your videos you are down to earth and honest I love that
Xoxoxo
Zabrena has a video on best affordable primers for oily and combo skin. I've found it helpful =)
I also have extremely oily skin and use the fenty beauty foundation & the too face sweet peach matte one. I still get really oily with them but not as fast & the fenty beauty blotting powder literally makes all the oil disappear! It’s amazing
elseavers why don't you carry around a setting powder and touch it up when needed ☺️
If your profile picture is actually you then I can already tell you that the Milani is not gonna have a shade pale enough. I can only wear their lightest shade during the summer (and that's the NEW lightest shade that just came out)
You should try the new maybelline foundation I’m very interested in it!
Me too!!
I didn't know they made a new one! What are the specs on it? Is it matte, dewy, long wearing ?
It doesn’t have many claims but being longwear (24 hours) and full coverage but I love their fit me foundation so I wonder how it compares also
Yesssssss
Alexa Cisneros I also love their Fit Me foundations! I'll have to look out for this, thanks for letting us know!
Thanks!
watching tati deal with oiliness is such a concept tbh? that's what my skin looks like an hour after i put on my makeup lmao!
Same like I see people complain when foundation breaks apart after like 8-10 hours and I’m like GIRL I HAVENT FOUND ONE THAT DOESNT DO THAT AFTER 4 HOURS I JUST ACCEPTED IT AS A FACT OF LIFE BY NOW
SAME!!
I don't think I've ever replied to a comment on here but I thought it was necessary to help out my fellow oily skin ladies lol. Have you guys tried Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation? Because it has literally changed my LIFE. That stuff stays intact until you scrub it off.
I've only heard good things about it and it's awesome to hear an actual recommendation. I'll have to try it out! Thanks girl!
Aside from the foundation, their skin care serums have absolutely changed my skin life...I highly recommend them
Wow, this is a beautiful look for you. Love your eyeshadow colors. Brings out your eyes!
this company is amazing for their prices!!!!!
I believe otd becaude they dont spend monet on high end packaging and other stuff they just focus on formulas
I LOVE the serum foundation (the light/natural version of this one.) ! The coverage foundation a little less. I like that they have very light colors and they're cheap!
Anouk same here!
I adore their foundation. My mature skin doesn't look good in any full coverage so I use their serum foundation. I use a drop of rosehip oil in it before putting it on. I do have that primer but not a fan of it. They have a new line of watercolor foundations coming out soon. I am excited to try those!!!
Those shade swatches tho! I do think the color was a tad off. It looked more mask like then your skin
Can you test the new Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation ❤❤
For dry skin this primer is actually super nice! I use this under the L’Oréal trublend and I don’t even like that foundation without that primer. It turns that kind of matte foundation into a nice dewy situation
Hey Tati! Next time when you do a first impressions on foundation AND primer, could you possibly put the new primer on half your face and your usual primer routine on the other half. That way we can see BOTH the effects of primer and foundation at the same time! Rather than not being able to tell whether it’s the foundation not working or the primer :( thanks a lot!
I feel like you should try it with your normal primer and with the clarisonic brush. To see if the problem is really the foundation
YES I WAS WAITING FOR SOMONE WITH A SIMILAR SKIN TO ME TO TEST THIS
you should of bought the High-Adherence Silicone Primer, it is only $4.90 and thats cheaper than the one you used. its one of my favorites and it gives a blurring of the pores.
Yes would love to see you give it another try with a different primer! You are so beautiful Tati 😊
Makes me so sad that the lightest shade is still not light enough for me.. :'(
It’s my perfect match
You wanna tell me you need straight up White then ‽
@@0liv3 When you’re very fair if a foundation has a different undertone that’s not perfect to yours it’ll look a lot darker, way more than if you were in the medium spectrum.
Hey Tati, I feel like you should give this another go with your usual primers. Also, I'm loving your eye look, I'd love to see how you got it.
I used this foundation with no primer at all, and honestly it looked fab for 8 hours, although I have normal skin. Definitely worth trying with your normal primer. Also if you are oily you can set this foundation with a light powder foundation.
Thank you for buying the darker shades and donating them. How thoughtful
Love that you swatched the range. It's nice to see when face products come in shades for brown girls
Wow so many negative comments! Tati I loved this eye and lip look! So pretty and perfect for the holidays! Thanks for your always honest opinions!
I’m so confused by the amount of product she used. No bashing- but it looked like half the bottle was on her face. I love this foundation and I use less than 1 single pump. Idk about others but when I pack too much product on my skin, that’s when I get creases and look like an oily mess 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah, I use one pump of the serum foundation. This definitely looked like just too much product, and the wrong color.
Me too..i love both this and serum foundations..i didn't re order my Georgio armani luminous silk or dior air flash bc I love these foundations so much. I ordered a ton of them too lol
Right? I use like a third, MAYBE sometimes half of a pump on my full face and neck, what in the world was she doing?!
I love the ordinary coverage foundation! I use it with my smashbox primer and it’s my holy grail combination. I’ve been loving this foundation.
Been using these things for months now thanks to Mr Goss ❤️
Can we just all address that Tati is so beautiful with or without makeup??????
Jade Beauty it’s not just the outside that’s beautiful but also the inside
Caty Waffle you know what you’re right she is the sweetest and most beautiful ( inside and out ) makeup artist i know and you are a beautiful person for reminding me that beauty is inside and put💛
I do like Lisa Eldridge too
ive watched loads of your vids and i must say,,,you look stunning with this look...really lovely
I’m so happy you did a review on this foundation,i was planning on ordering it in a few days. Seriously you are my favorite reviewer on UA-cam! Love you so much Tati!! 💖💖💖💖 I love your reviews so much, you are so thorough! 😍
So glad you enjoyed the video Maja!
xo's
Can you please do another review of the foundation with your usual primer??? I’m so curious if the problem is the primer or the foundation.....or both?
Tati! Just saw this crazy metallic eyeshadows called luxe la rose would love seeing you review them!! Love your videos! Xoxo
Niamh Bannister they came out with 00a and its good enough for me (im nw13) and i really like it :)
Lunar Less 👏👏 Yup yup
Was gonna say the same thing. Yellow and dark 👎🏻
They actually came out with a few more really fair shades.
Not anymore
