Southern Rock will never die!!
Texas has saved country music.
-“Anderson County saved…
I'm Brazilian and I love Southern Rock. Being a long time Skynyrd fan, I found out Whiskey Myers 3 years ago. My gosh, this band is awesome. Another great band (less known) is HOGJAW.
Victor check out steel woods
Também recomendo The Steel Woods, Turnpike troubadours, Cody Jinks e The White Bufallo
check out Koe Wetzl
I’m actually friends with Jimmy and Johnboat from Hogjaw. Crazy small world. They are neighbors and friends and have played at my buddy’s man cave several times. Hated to see them hang it up but they’re great dudes. Word of advice, don’t EVER try to go drink for drink with Johnboat. You won’t survive it!! I’m grateful to still be vertical after that!!
I'm about knee deep in water and neck deep in a bottle but if you love southern music try some ole time blues like Jamie, Tommy, and mix it with ole time blue grass. The mix turned it into money but with the copying they are still things that can be wrote. To many musicians riding coat tails and getting sued, Music is just getting started in my book ( with out AI ). May God bless you.
southern rock is alive and well
It is and always will be there. Idk know bout live n well. Radios bout trash
@@cliffhooper3558 You make one statement then immediately contradict it. Idiot.
@@burtstamos8752 There was a whole lot of whiskey involved haha. One of those country music at 4am type deals. Actually half coherent.... lmao
This band is so FUCKING GOOD!!
Chelcie Lynn , they are awesome. Just saw them last month in Odessa🎸🥁💜
Ya damn right girl!
They need to do a duet with REBA! NOW!!!
Well DUH!!!
every morning before i start my day, whiskey myers, son volt, damn quails and turnpike troubadours are in shuffle play.. and im a filipino!
So tired of the rhinestone - trashville country pop! Hey, I'm an 80's hard rock-metal fan by heart and by trade. But always loved southern rock Skynard, Hachett, Allman's. But this W.M. band has just blown me away. Even a sad song like "broken window", somehow just puts a smile on my face. These guyz are on rotation in my playlist daily. Hoping they make it to Southern Cali one day soon..!!
An 80's Rocker who was brought up on auld country due to my Dad and been fortunate to see these guys a few times and Detroit again in December, hopefully you get to see them live soon 🤘
They toured all over California and Oregon earlier this year.
Texas' modern dirt-road country/rock bands r' blowin' away the mainstream syrupy & traditional Nashville so-called "country" bands. Tx.has always had a deep affiliation w/country..blues..jazz..conjunto..rock..& other styles of americana/roots music.
Best band on the planet
WM are the best Southern Rock band since the 70s.
That's what I been sayin' since I found out about these guys about 4-months ago! So tired of the rhinestone - trashville country pop! Hey, I'm an 80's hard rock-metal fan by heart and by trade. But always loved southern rock Skynard, Hachett, Alman's. But this W.M. band has just blown me away. Even a sad song like "broken window", somehow just puts a smile on my face. these guyz are on rotation on my playlist daily. Hoping they make it to Southern Cali one day soon..!!
WM definetly one of my favorites..but BlackBerry smoke is #1
Yes 1 of the best sounds in the world today as far as any music
This band should be plaed on the radio ALLOT
I knew they would be GREAT from the 1st time I saw them play at County Line BBQ in 2016 !!!! And they have delivered ever since❣ A true TEXAS treasure 💙
Anyone listening in 2021?
Dancing on the creek bank
Blue eyes and auburn hair
It was the best years of our lives
We didn't have a care
Going 90 miles an hour
A truck and an old dirt road
Two young ass kids
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
Then graduation came
You was big city bound
I was going nowhere fast
So I just hung around
By the next time I seen you
Your love had grown cold
So I guess you broke my heart
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
White on the bloom
That April moon
It could have been forever darlin' had we stayed together
But you had to go
Time don't slow
It took further from your home
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
So I took to drinking
I guess you wouldn't recognize me
My souls torn and twisted
Like an old dogwood tree
We used to talk about forever
That was a million miles ago
So I'll see it if I see
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
White on the bloom
That April moon
You ain't dead set on leavin
When you miss the one you need
Just getting real
Hell remember when
You had that hand to hold
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
Love the DBT shirt! Keep southern rock alive!!!
Me too.
Exactly what i thought when i seen Cody’s shirt! DBT4life!
They look so young, thanks for the vid. Been my favorite band for three years.

I like that he's wearing a DBT shirt.
First time I heard this song, I must’ve played it on repeat for a week straight.
From Los Angeles.....WM's rocks!
Probably one of my all time favorite songs
Wish they would do this in concert
codys got a dbt shirt on fuck yea they kill it live
I found them in a goodwill resale store a number of years ago. lol Been a fan ever since. Even though I don't live far from Palestine I rarely go that way. It's good to see a local band do so well. Keep the southern rock commin guy's. I like it!
Skynyrd died with Ronnie Van Zant, thank God for Texas music and Whiskey Myers !!!!!!!!
reminds me so much of DBT. such a good band!
I thought the same thing the first 4 seconds in,think it was the electric rhythm guitar being fingerpicked
I love this song.
Same story as 7&7 by Turnpike Troubadours..both good songs
Great Band - keeeeeep on rooooockiiiiiin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mickeymouse.
Great band been listening for quite some time and finally get to see them this December with Blackberry Smoke. Love the nod to the elder statesmen of Alt Country DBT
I'll be seeing them December 4th in lake charles!
I love these guys 😊
Cody, you and guys keep writing 'story songs' that's what country is all about. Somewhat again the traditional country music fans, I love your country/rock mix. Thanks for your music. And stories.
Can't get me enough of that Whiskey M. Jam 👍
Where have I been all my life
Song is amazing
i love the band...a good song
Love the DBT shirt 🤙
This a damn good song
You guys killed it at Dantes in Portland
❤
COOL
Amazing song!
Better than anything I hear on my modern country station
Vocal harmonies are key! love ya guys
The best song!! Awesome.
Best Band
Why can't they get radio play? Lots of the so called country on radio it's more pop with cowboy boots than country.
phill george badlands app or the wolf in Amarillo.
phill george people would enjoy their music on the radio. It makes no sense to me. I guess they'd wrather play music that all sounds exactly the same. Fuck they should just start playing Taylor swift again, it'd fit country radio perfect these days.
If life was fair we'd really have a case on our hands. SUPERLOVE
Because record companies control whats on the radio
Yeah. Ripped Levi's and hair gel!! Screw Nashville !!They're piss ants!! Ray Wylie Hubbard!!
great!
They sound really good
Nice use of opening with Fender guitar sound and then the Gibson tone slides in.
Great song
thx
Kicking ASS
Love this band!
36 people like Luke Bryan!!!!!
What a great band! Thanks Billy!
Please please come to Huntington west Virginia
My best friend has been out there doing whatever for the dope she needed , I've begged an cried for her to stop , right now She's in jail an probably wind up in priso again . I wish she could hear broken window , she has nothing , for years I've went an seen her in jail an prison an put money on her books an on the phone so she could call , but I'm tired of trying to help her it gonna have to be her choice, sometimes you have to love someone from a distance !💔
Sometimes you have to walk away.
Wish they'd do this live
Daniel Rommel.....They used to. This is my favorite so I wish they would again.
EPIC
Love it
Great band! Saw them in February and just got tickets to see them in December.Check out Blackberry Smoke!Won't here them on radio either!
The stuff I've been looking for!
Saw this in Key West
They had the sound of the love child of the Eagles and Skynard. Where are they now?
like myers with whiskey
Great song. Anyone know what year that Rickenbacker is?
Anyone know the tabs for the slide in the instrumental parts?
I figured out the intro
Tabs? Play it like you hear it. Play it like you feel it.
Cody has his own damn mules! Give em hell fellas! "don't forget to kick em,...." 8P
wish this was mixed right...
18 people i dont know..are out of their minds or tone deaf one.
Gary Greenleaf every show is top notch.
Pull your pants up and pay attention..this is real music son..
What are you doing with your son that he has his pants down?
Texas Country is the ONLY country I listen to
They're The Next Lynyrd Skynyrd
1:12 song
48 people love that Nashville pop trash
i love this song but has anyone noticed that it is essentially just zombie by the cranberries sped up? lol
Yeah well it's also 'the kids aren't allright'. But hey man, everything has a bit of everything, right?. It's like writing words down. Every word has been written before, it's the combination that gives it sense. And this band seems to just do a real good job with that.
The chord progression is really common.
SHITE
GREAT SOUND BUT A RIP OFF TO SEE
The drummer is awful
tom slick No actually he is serving the song which a good drummer is supposed to do vs overplaying . Believe me , he is a good drummer.
I found them in a goodwill resale store a number of years ago. lol Been a fan ever since. Even though I don't live far from Palestine I rarely go that way. It's good to see a local band do so well. Keep the southern rock commin guy's. I like it!
Love this band!!!
