I'm traveling the furthest I've ever traveled to see a band in May, and it's for these guys and Hayes Carll. Coming from the UK to Texas to see them at Floores, which looks like a real authentic setting! Trip of a life time, I hope!
Daniel Jones I’ve got to say that traveling all that way to see the troubadours and Hayes Carll at Floores country store is a trip you will get your money’s worth! Holy shit what a way to be welcomed to America!
This live version is more intense and menacing than the album version. You know you're witnessing a great band when they can perform an excellent recorded song and it sounds even better live. That ability requires talent and dedication to making memorable music. I believe they would sell a million or more records and if they were played on so-called "Country" radio.
I hope they get all the recognition and popularity they deserve, I love them, I could get into these guys I'd be all over them cause they are molten Hot...
I have seen Turnpike perform multiple times, and every time they perform they play with such intensity its as if that's their first and last concert they will put on, they put on the best concert hands down!!!!!
If only more people could get behind a band full of misfits who make music about real life, that comes from the soul, this world would be a much more beautiful place.
Dang i love these guys.. reminds me of chasing my girl down 87 in her silly ass lookin cavalier..she had that big old long horn sticker on the window... lol. man, good times.. miss ya Grandma Trula!!!!!
Hell yes! Flying in on the 22nd of May for a week. Unfortunately Chris Knight is playing a show the week before that which I'll miss - he's another guy I'd love to see. Let me know if there's any bars/bbq joints or shows I should check out
I just love how Oklahoma comes up with their own Red dirt music and Texas takes the credit. Cmon we aint got a bunch going for us but at least give us the credit. Great video though.
+TheTurbofish Texas isn't necessarily taking the credit for anything. Texas just has more opportunities, studios, talk shows, etc. Don't be so "geographical".....Ray Benson definitely let everyone know in this clip that they are from Norman, OK. Yes, Oklahoma has been creating some amazing music for several years....but it doesn't mean that Texas is taking the credit. Turnpike obviously agreed to be on The Texas Music Scene series several times....so obviously it doesn't bother them to be a part of the Texas Music Scene.....or what I like to call the Red Dirt/Texas Country Music Scene. Don't be so territorial.....we're all friends and fans here.
a viola has thicker strings, bigger bow, and is a little larger than the violin. A fiddle is usually a violin that is used in Country and Folk music, but you can also "fiddle" a viola. I have played drums and guitar in Country music for more than 35 years and have seen "fiddlers" play both violins and violas. They just call them both fiddles even though they are different instruments.
@@delano62 Don't fret it...really doubt you have a chance of being her next KILL. Why come on her and show your interest, You must be a fan. Can't say I blame you Miranda is hot as S**tt, beautiful, talanted, Rich. We may yet get some Evan/Miranda music. Best wishes to Evan...you are too talented to throw it all way.
I love these guys but I wish these guys would get their shit together. They’re way too talented not to be making more music touring when things get back to normal.

It's Gospel!
caught them in alvarado on halloween, they were all in costumes and still kicked ass. class act for sure. top notch
Smokin fiddle player.
ZekeN Ollie looks more like a viola.
So what is the difference between a fiddle and a violin and a viola?
