my opinion... I think this is the greatest country song ever written!!! I must listen to it every single time I pop open a cold one... It's so relaxing
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last couple of months :)
Yeah it really does a lot for the song, I can play it on guitar and sing, just need a fiddle player to back me. Been listening to this song on damn near repeat for a whole week haha
I was born in 1962 and turned 62 July 2024.great tunes takes me back to my younger days. To the late 70s 80'S 90's were the best lots of girlfriends break ups make ups. Much loust back then. Ear buds in blasting that music and locked the world outside. Still here September 2024!!!!
Saw Randy Roger's at the acoustic concert in Waco back in February, was by far the best concert I've ever been to. Love the emotion he puts behind the lyrics. Really pulls you in.
such a beautiful song! I've been to so many randy rogers concerts but he doesn't play this some sometimes...oh but when he does I feel the magic in the air : )
I’m a jazz, classic oldies, and Latin singer…… but this song….. I always sing it because of how it’s well written. It’s definitely one of my favorites.
Two years later, a chance to see him live, my opinion Brady Black and the RRB are one of the best live performance real country bands you will ever see, and Brady Black is hands down the best Fiddle player in music today !
The live music scene has gone downhill substantially over the last 15 years in Austin but it was so far ahead of any place else that it’s still the best. Not a lot of competition for other cities with a live music focus though either. Nashville has more music on a given night by FAR but not the variety and the rawness of many of the bands you can see in Austin on a given night. Austin hasn’t changed for the better (culturally speaking) and I don’t think many people would argue that, but it’s still a destination music scene.
As someone that did, many times, it is literally no different seeing them today. It felt and sounds the same today as it did back then and back then there were times I sat and changed guitar strings with him the same day of the show right next to the register where we sold tickets. So I saw him when he was still doing a few hundred tickets and I’m serious when I say their shows today are like those shows 15 plus years ago. When you’re good you’re good. And he’s good and has stayed true to his sound and it’s not like he was ever stretching across a huge vocal range so his voice is right where it was before. Sometimes the old days don’t have to be better just because they were the old days, when you’re good you can be good for a long time. That’s RRB still today at least.
Thanks for the post. If you like this you will also like guys like Jack Ingram "Regiosly", Pat Green "Wave on Wave" and Stoney LaRue with "Velvet" (acoustic), "Has Been" or "Sharecropper". Lots of other fantastic artists in the scene as well.
2024 and still my all time favorite song

How is the RRB not mainstream, seriously. Guess it's because they don't wear skinny jeans and sing pop. Keep doing what you're doing, guys.

My favorite country song. Blessed to grow up in Austin and be surrounded by the best music around.

These guys need to make a trip to Louisiana. We know how to appreciate real country music, not this main stream pop crap they have on the radio..
I know they are traveling out of Texas more and more. Check their website for tour dates.
