If your kidnapper is not brain-dead and really knows what he's doing, unlike shooting commercial for some surplus company, he will ziptie your hands and put some duct tape over your mouth before tossing you into the trunk - that's what abduction is. Not holding you at gunpoint and telling you to get inside the trunk, without even frisking you and knowing if abductee is holding entire tacticool arsenal on him or not - that's just plain stupid.

If the kidnapper is being hasty. They wouldn't be wasting time frisking the abductee on the spot. They would just tie them up, throw in the trunk, and take off.
