- Two One Pocket specialists doing what they do best, as Scott Frost takes on Justin Hall from the 2023 Derby City Classic One Pocket Division.
At the age of 47, "The Freezer" Scott Frost has probably won every one pocket title available in the game today. One of the crowning achievements of his One Pocket career was winning this very event in 2010.
Justin Hall burst onto the scene in 2012, when he won the Southern Classic One Pocket, Banks and All Around titles. Two years later, he represented the USA in the 2014 Mosconi Cup.
Jeremy Jones and Mark Wilson called all of the action.

The lower corner pockets on that table rolled off on every video I 've seen so far. The tournament directors or Diamond people surely had to notice this, I would think, but why they let it continue baffles me. Is there a problem leveling these pro tables? Is the flooring in the hotel unsound just that little bit? To me it is unconscionable to let a table in this condition be used for top level tournament play. These are not your blowsy ancient bar tables that have barely survived being drenched in spilled beer and used as an ashtray. These are supposed to be about the best in the world, and brand new or refurbished in every way. You would think they would not allow a significant shot-killing roll-off, especially at both money-holes, but this table has rolled off badly in at least four matches, maybe more.

How does everyone miss Frost scratch with his cue at the 10:40 mark?
2 balls have to move for it to be a foul, or if he moves a ball and then it comes in contact with the balls played.
Cue Ball Fouls Only
Accidentally touching or disturbing a single stable object ball is not a foul, unless the disturbed ball has an effect on the outcome of the shot. See a referee for advice if you think this has happened. Otherwise, the opponent has the option to restore the disturbed ball or leave it in position. If the offending player attempts to restore the disturbed ball without giving their opponent the restoration option, it is a foul.
Accidentally touching or disturbing 2 or more object balls is a foul, and there is no restoration option for the disturbed balls.

One pocket is a fun game to play but watching a nearly 3 hour race to 3 is like watching paint dry.
Everyone involved (players, ref, announcers) missed it early in the first rack when Justin, who owes a ball for a scratch, pocketed the 3 ball in Scott's pocket to clear it. The ref took Scott's ball and spotted it up and took away Justin's scratch!
That 3 went in to Hall's pocket, the left pocket, as we're viewing it. Look at the names at the top, to confirm what side they are.
yeah no. He made the 3 in his own pocket while he owed one, then he continued the inning and made the 2 in Scott's pocket. The 3 went up, the 2 stayed down.
