For those who like onepocket, love watching these CHAMPIONS play at the highest level. Even if it's a wedge game or even if the player takes a while to make a decision. SIMPLE GAME ONEPOCKET but NOT EASY...AND STOP CHANGING THE RULES. RULE CHANGES RUINED 9-ball
Remember when espn started showing 9 ball matches and they felt obligated to explain the game to the viewers? Eventually the explanations were skipped. It's time the same explanations of one pocket were skipped. Almost every video seems obligated to explain the game. Let's get past that, please.

I played both these guys about 14yrs ago give or take, in Columbus, Ohio at the 8ball billards. I use to be really good and almost went professional but I started doing drugs and took a different path. Today I'm a whole new person. 10yrs clean and got back into pool but am not anywhere near as good as I use to be 🤣
I think that, if the players agree and the ref isn't around (tree in the forest), they shouldn't refer to the film for rulings. If the ref is there, then the ref has final say.
This is the highest level of one pocket. They are two grandmasters going at it. Of course they got to take their time cause one mistake is deadly. I bet u if they played u, they would play alot faster and the entire match would take less than 25 minutes.
@@seandesir7272 I am not going to argue with you on that at all! I agree. I know it is a chess match times 5 in this game. Which makes it a slow playing game,no fun to watch normally. ♥♥ At the 1:18:50 mark into the video, whether Corey touched the #10-ball (by mistake) should be irrelevant, in my opinion. BECAUSE, he INTENTIONALLY moved the #6-ball, before waiting on a ruling on the touching of the #10-ball.. Who's to determine whether he placed it back where it was. In my opinion, that should've been either a loss of game, or, at the very least, loss of turn. Corey's lucky that Gabe let it slide. Oh well, it's not my game. They can do whatever they want.
SERIOUSLY; these people need SHOT CLOCKS. Deuel is always slow, but Gabe apparently is also. Come on, 45 seconds with 3 extensions per game maybe...? But it's CRAZY how much of this FOUR HOURS are these two just STARING at the table. Sheesh.
♥♥ Commenting on the discussion about Mexican pesos value (in 2019, when this match took place). According to the chart at www.poundsterlinglive.com/best-exchange-rates/best-us-dollar-to-mexican-peso-history-2019 , the USD (U.S. Dollar) was equal to (approximately) 18-19 Mexican pesos - or, about 0.05 USD (one nickel, approximately).
Normally, I really enjoy one pocket. It is interesting and unique except when 'supreme prevention' is used like in the last game. Back away, back away, recheck your shot...wow. I know their playing for big money, but the snooker players in UK play for huge money and don't take anytime at all. Really need a shot clock and assess a minus one if time runs out.
These two commentators should stop crying about how long or the strategy played in this game, if you dont understand it , dont sign up for the job next time, geezus!🙄
One Pocket is NEVER thrilling. It's a great game to learn and play for so many different techniques and skills you can develop from it... but it IS still THE MOST boring game to watch. I'm pretty sure old guys who couldn't pocket balls anymore invented this game as a way to stay relevant on the table and bullshit with each other every week they got together. Like a women's social club.
I’d call straight pool the most boring, to me. But I enjoy guys being more up and down to the table. Fewer balls pocketed, but more of a back and forth feel to the game.
@@ChrisWoj If you like that back and forth action, you should just watch tennis, racquetball, squash or similar sports. Pool at a high level SHOULD be guys dominating on the table and making their opponent wait and suffer until they miss.
@@squatch570 I enjoy tennis. But that's a very very very different type of back and forth from a one pocket match, that entire point is totally wasted and irrelevant. Watching this match - I saw a TON of incredible and what I would call "dominant" shots. Corey moving a ball 3 rails from a frozen position, getting a touch and a rail, and then freezing it on another ball is just as impressive as any but the most impressive of potted shots. Just because a ball isn't going in doesn't mean a shot isn't incredible and an example of pool at a HIGH LEVEL.
